We visited Egypt and Jordan from April 19th to May 1st, 2024. Marwa Samir was our personal tour consultant and helped us finalize the itinerary. Marwa was very helpful in providing us with suggestions and accommodated all our requests. We had a great time in both Egypt and Jordan. When things went wrong as they sometimes do, she went out of her way to satisfactorily resolve issues as they came up When you’re travelling far from home, you want to have someone at your destination who cares and is able to help when needed. Our guide Ahmed Farahat made sure we were safe and very happy! He got all the traditional pyramid pics and even arranged a short camel ride for my little with the pyramids in the background!

This was the trip of a lifetime down to the pyramids and riding a camel, to having coffee on the boat cruising down the Nile with a breathtaking view. Memphis tours made it possible it was more than what I was expecting! Any issues I had was taken care of right away by Ahmed who set up my trip and Abdul Rehman the tour manager ! Our guide Mohammad Sultan in the boat cruise from Luxor to Aswan was so knowledgeable and helped us understand everything we needed. He was amazing! Memphis tours made my trip one of a lifetime.

We visited Luxor for a conference and booked a 2 day tour through Memphis Tours afterwards: one day in Luxor and one day in Cairo. Nouran, our contact at Memphis, took care of everything: transportation, the flight to Cairo, the hotel, all tour related activities and lunch. Both days were great! We visited the valley of the kings, the Luxor temple and the Karnak temple in Luxor and the pyramids, sphinx and museum in Cairo. Both our tour guides, Nabil in Luxor and Mervat in Cairo were great. They had a lot of knowledge about all sites and told us all we needed to know. If there is one thing that we didn't like that much is that there were some 'commercial breaks', i.e. we visited some places that were clearly there to sell us stuff (alabaster shop in Luxor and a jewelry bazar and papyrus shop in Cairo -- we did buy some stuff at some of them). I get that they are there, but it felt a bit commercial. However, since the rest of the tour was so great, I don't see this as a huge problem.

We had a day tour in Cairo as the beginning and of our tour for upper Egypt, as planned Amir our tour guide met us at the hotel at 9:00 am exactly and we headed to Giza Pyramids tour, Amir informed us about the pyramids quite well, not too much not too less, just in dose, he has good konowledge of ancient Egypt, then we had a great lunch at a restaurant nearby with a view of Pyramids, after lunch we moved to Egyptian Museum, although it was my fourth time visiting this museum, it is fantastic to explore new things at each time, unfortunately we could not access the Tutankhamen gallery since it was closed, after museum we visited Khan El Khalili to buy some souvenirs and at the end of tour Amir dropped us to Cairo Tower per our request, thank you for his flexibility. Memphis tours offered outstanding customer service from the booking, pre-travel arrangements, airport transfers, and tours. Special shout out to our awesome guide, Ayman, and driver, Anwar. They provided us with facts about the historic sites as well as insight into modern Egyptian culture. Would highly recommend this company for those looking for a stress free vacation. They handle all of the details for you. As for the specific tour of the pyramids and Egyptian museum, we got amazing photos of the pyramids on the camel ride. Then they took us for lunch at a restaurant overlooking the grand pyramid. Would not recommend the museum tour in the summer because it is not air conditioned. However, the weather was still cool enough to enjoy the museum in April.

We arrived in Cairo and our Memphis Tour representative was there to guide us through the Entry Visa possess, drive us to our hotel, the Cairo Sheraton, and help us get checked in. Throughout the next four days we traveled with our guide Ahmed Zaki and our driver known as Special. We had wonderful experiences at each site visited including Giza, the Hanging Church, the Museum and Alexandria. Ahmed was knowledgeable, inciteful, pleasant and extremely helpful. We were always met on time and were provided everything we needed. The restaurants selected for us served delish lunches and included great food and awesome views. Our Memphis Tour contact Kiki did an excellent job of organizing our trip and our guide Ahmed and driver Special insured that we covered everything on our list and more. We highly recommend Memphis Tours if you are planning a trip to Cairo.

The tour to the Giza Pyramids, Sphinx and Egyptian museum was great. Our guide Shrouk was very knowledgeable and a pleasure to be with for the Cairo part of our tour. Amgd, our tour manager, was very professional and whisked us through the Cairo airport on arrival. Everyone was very gracious especially in light of Ramadan which had to make their jobs more difficult. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend the tours and our guides in Cairo!

We did a 9 day 8 night tour of Egypt with Memphis Tours. I am writing about my experience in Cairo and will write a separate review about the rest of the trip. Overall my experience with Memphis was great. The tour managers, the drivers and tour guides made our trip very easy and carefree. My family (5 adults) and I spent 2 full days in Cairo with Ahmed Helal. First day we went to Pyramids/Sphinx and Saqqarah. Second day, we went to the Egyptian museum and old Cairo. Each day were full with lots of stops so be prepared to spend your entire day out and about. At the pyramids you have the opportunity to ride a camel or do a horse carriage to a nice view point but be advised it is an extra cost. You will also be taken to lots of shopping stops in between sites but you don’t have to buy anything if you don’t want to. I have nothing but great things to say about Ahmed as a tour guide. He was very informative at each site but also gave us plenty of time to take pictures and walk around on our own. He also took a lot of group pictures for us and they were fun and nice to look back on. Both restaurants we went to for lunch were delicious. He was very kind, hospitable, friendly and we felt very comfortable around him. I would recommend him to anyone!

I have put together a 14 day custom itinerary for me and my friend as this is our first trip to Egypt. Memphis Tours is an amazing company and our tour guide is phenomenal! We have a personalized tour lead by an Egyptologist who is amazing! Tarek is knowledgeable, informed, funny, respectful, gives you space when you need it and overall the best tour guide ever in my life! From 4 days before the flight, to touching base daily, to the personal tours, the food arrangements, tickets, and all details handled, I could not have asked for a better experience. We had a fantastic experience with our Guide, Tarek!!! He was phenomenal!!! I cannot say enough about his knowledge, kindness, he made us feel very important and secure, and his joy of life is infectious. His love of his country and artifacts of Egypt is very strong. Our visit to Cairo was wonderful however, Tarek made our time exceptional!!! I would highly recommend going with Memphis Tours. We had a guide, Mohomid, meet us at the flight in before getting our Visa’s. He made everything so easy for all of us. He escorted us to the hotel, even checked us in. We were a small group of 6 and got to do many things that my Mother had not gotten to done on her cruise visit 10 yr ago. We dined at a rooftop restaurant looking at the pyramids. Food was so delicious. We felt like we were in heaven. I would never want to drive in Cairo, you will see why. lol. In the states I’m the drive cuz I’m a nervous backseat driver. I have taken many tours all over the world and this one has been best ever. Mustafa’s coordination leading up to the tour and pickup was seamless. Abo safely and efficiently got me to all the sites safely and efficiently and was enjoyable to spend time with in the car. Sherif the tour guide was one of the best tour guides I’ve ever had. I booked a private tour and he was extremely enjoyable to be with all day. He was an expert at gauging my interests and delivering a customized tour for me. He was very open at the beginning about my interests, preferences in how talking about things and really has a skill at sensing when I had enough with one item and to move onto the next. I also felt very comfortable just telling him let’s move on or skip a particular item and see something else. We had a lot of fun together, he was eager to give me a great experience, had great conversation and was an expert in helping me get memorable pictures. I highly recommend these gentlemen if you are considering a tour in the Cairo area.

We had an incredible trip of a lifetime during three days in Cairo thanks to Memphis tours and their team when my wife and I arranged for a dedicated tour on short notice. We ended up using Memphis tours for our airport pickup, drop off and everything in between. Our driver Farag was always there to pick us up and knew all of the local places to pass and park to ensure our vehicle was never far away. Our tour guide, Karam Mostafa was excellent - Karam had a deep understanding of the artifacts, ruins and customs and was an excellent source of advice for evening activities during our lunch breaks together. Karam had a great understanding of when to share information, and when to hang back and let my wife and myself wander around on our own to soak it all in. Our tour leader Monica did an amazing job of building on their website content with tailored recommendations for what to visit and when. This was often done on the run via text messages from Monica whilst in our vehicle with Farag and Karam between activities or on the go. A few recommendations to make the most of your time in with Memphis tours while in Giza and Cairo: 1) Book the professional photographer to capture the moments during your pyramid tours – the photographer addition only added an hour to our tour, but the photographer knew just were to go and when to capture all of the iconic photos encountered on social media. On the last day, Monica handed us a hard cover photo album and a ~ 80 high-res photos on a USB drive. The photos absolutely made the trip for us. 2) Follow your nose and wander off the beaten path a bit when around the pyramids and the Sphinx. 3) Stay by the pyramids – this is where the action is for ~60-75% of the must-see attractions in Cairo. Seeing the pyramids under first light of day or with a cup of wine at sunset will never be forgotten. 4) Be patient when transiting Cairo – this mega city is the 5th largest on the planet with over 20 million people. Getting to and from the main attractions will take some time and patience…all factored in by Monica when building your itinerary. Overall, Monica, Karam and Farag took all of the stress of planning and scheduling out of our hands during our entire trip. I highly recommend Memphis tours to deliver the experience of a lifetime you expect when you visit one of the seven wonders of the world.

I would like to thank Haythem from Memphis tours for help with the booking. When we arrived in Cairo we were greeted by Kero. We knew straight away we were in safe hands. Kero made suggestions on things to do and advice about our hotels as we were staying in four different places during our two weeks. He was available day and night for any questions or help we needed, with quick response each time. By the end of our fantastic holiday we referred to Kero as 'Kero the Hero' because of the outstanding service and attention that was given to us. Our driver in Cario was Ibrahim. He is a talented driver, the way we crossed the city a number of times in the crazy traffic. Ibrahim was polite and helpful at all times. Our guide in Cairo was Ahmed Nour Kadder, he knew all the good places for photos and was the perfect guide. Informing us of all these was to know about the past and current situation. We went on the M S Salacia Nile Cruise and wish to thank everyone on board for a wonderful stay. They were friendly, kind and attentive. Our guide with the cruise was Ibrahim, he was very informative and advised us on interesting things to see and do, eg. the sunset after the visit to the Nubian village and the best position to see the boat going through the Dock at Aswan High Dam . This was the most amazing tour I have ever been on. We were picked up and dropped off right at the hotel with ease. Our tour expert, Dr. Mohamed Youssef, taught us the kinds of things you'll never find in a history book or online... something you have to experience in person. He went out of his way to make our day special and unique to us. This was not some sort of scripted tour. This was the real deal and the only way to experience the Pyramids, the Sphinx and the museum. The staff were very welcoming and kind hearted. Our tour was in English and they have tours in other languages too. I would say more, but I don't want to ruin anyone else's experience, because mine was truly special.
