Roberto was really friendly, nice, and informative. Surprisingly it was just me on this tour which I didn't expect. I'm guessing that is the reason I was charged more ($85) instead of the usual ($65) which honestly I think isn't fair for the value of this tour or solo traveler Roberto gave a tour of Panama City and Miraflores locks,. Maybe if I has paid $65 like everyone else I would be inclined to think so. You watch a 45 minute narration about the Panama Canal that included in your ticket, which was interesting, but technically didnt even want to do so technically that's $65 for three ish hours. Roberto was really nice and was open to suggestions of what I wanted to do, but in really how much can you really change the schedule for 3 1/2 hours?? We got lucky and a ship was expected to come through the canal, but I didnt stay to watch the whole thing knowing I paid $85. I wanted to see as much as possible. I think only book this, if like me you only have a few days in Panama City and want to cover a whole lot geographically with someone who knows the area, like where its safe. Value wise, you could probably go on Youtube and watch a video to learn about the history of the canal and save yourself money. Same thing

Kati made this experience super easy, informative, and fun! She is an amazing tour guide and knows the ins and outs of Panama. She made sure the tour was streamlined to avoid the crowds and get the best views. The tour provides you with the opportunity for this experience plus even more! Wow. 🎬 Once the ship passes you will make your way inside to view a 3-D film on the Panama Canal. Before entering the IMAX theater, you may purchase movie concessions if you like. I had initially felt as though the film would be a waste of our time. Basing this perspective on past experience of watching less than average informative films which accompanied a sort of tour, exhibit, etc. I was apprehensive. You may feel the same but allow me to reassure you. The film which is narrated by Morgan Freeman turned out to be wonderful. The short production explains the history of the canal’s creation and shows views of the canal which are not able to be seen from the observation deck of the visitors center. By the end I had acquired an appreciation for the inclusion of the film. Note the closing remarks at the end of the film regarding the harmony of natural resources needed for the operation of the canal, which Panama and its residents maintain, and the influence the modern engineering feat holds on the entire world. 📍 The Goethals Monument: a perfect follow up to the Panama Canal portion of the tour, this monument is dedicated to the canal’s chief engineer 📍Amador Causeway: here you can take pictures of the “Panama” sign, enjoy views of the marina, cool off with a fresh fruit pop from the stand inside the causeway park center, and use the facilities if needed 📍Casco Viejo: Panama City historic district, rich with picturesque architecture, enjoy a walk though this romantic setting, shop for souvenirs, or grab a bite for lunch (the flexibility/customization available at each stop is a highlight of this tour) 📍Plaza de la Catedral: considered the town square in Casio Viejo, also known as Independence Square, here you will find the landmark Metropolitan Cathedral Basilica of Santa Maria the Ancient Overall, I was highly impressed with the tour experience, specifically how much was packed into this half day adventure.
