We went to this tour earlier in the week. Whether you are new or experienced in wine tasting, highly recommend this tour. We enjoy wine and learned a lot on this tour. Myriam explained the modern and old wine process and took us out to the grape vine fields. She explained how to maintain productive vines. Then we went to see houses built into the hillside for wine storage. There are a lot of mechanized and manual labor to produce a bottle of wine. We returned to the shop and sat down to a variety of sumptuous charcuterie and wine pairings. Myriam was always open to questions and the tour had ample time to absorb the information. For us this was the best tour in Loire Valley.

Wonderful! Tried lots of wines and cheese! Myrium is such a professional vineyard guide! The vineyard is somehow accessible by bus.

My family loved this tour. We learned a lot about the wines and it ended with a great wine tasting with some amazing, local snacks. We would 10/10 recommend this tour for anyone who loves wine or learning more about a local region

Myriam our host, was absolutely amazing. She was very knowledgeable and passionate about her vineyard. She was genuine and personable, taking an interest in her guests. She went into a lot of detail and was very eager to answer any questions the group had. It was a group of 12 people, which was the perfect size. The tour started at the shop and we made our way up to the vineyard where we learnt about the grapes, the topography, and so much more. Then we made our way into the cellar, and finally sampled 6 different and delicious wines that came with many food pairings. We had an amazing time and would definitely recommend to any wine lover!

This was our first wine tour in France and we loved it. Myriam was great showing us the vineyards, process and cellar. We learned so much. The food chosen for the degustation was simply amazing with all types of regional cheeses and spreads. Highly recommended if you are in this region.

Myriam took us on a journey from the vines to the bottle - she was a super host - engaging and attentive. She was extremely knowledgable, and clearly has a passion for sharing her knowledge and experience with guests. We walked to the vineyard, then through the production facility, through to the caves, learning about the process along the way. We finished up with a wine tasting at the end, accompanied by delicious local meats and cheeses. This was a fantastic end to our holiday and I would highly recommend it.

We visited the Alain Robert winery for a tour of the vineyard and a wine taste. Myriam, our guide, was absolutely excellent. We both learned lots about wine that we never thought we would know and found the tour very interesting indeed. The wine taste was provided with superb locally produced food pairings which made the experience unforgettable. Would thoroughly recommend!

If you have ever wanted to find out how wine is produced from grape vines, through the fermentation process, to the final product, look no further than this incredibly interesting wine tour of Alain Robert winery hosted by the very knowledgeable and charming Myriam. It finished off our short break perfectly. We visited the cellars built deep into the rockface, and ended with what I can only describe as a treat for the tastebuds! Six excellent wines accompanied with delicious regional meats and cheeses. I have already placed an order with a supplier in the UK for the excellent Rose, Cremant and Les Charmes Vouvray wine. Well done Myriam!

Myriam was a wonderful hostess and guide. We were fortunate enough to be there in the vineyard as the grapes were being harvested and got to taste the grapes and see how they are harvested first hand. She shared information on every aspect of their wine production. This visit to her family's winery was a highlight of our time in the Loire Valley.

I booked a tour with Myriam for myself and three friends. Not only was Myriam a delight to deal with: super flexible as well as resourceful when planning our itinerary (we had some specific requests). She was also extremely knowledgeable about wine and the region. Pickup and drop-off were seamless. Lastly, she literally went the extra mile, driving out of her way to return a wine bottle I'd accidentally left in her car at the end of my tour. You will be in good hands with her.

Prior to this wonderful tour, my knowledge of wine was sadly lacking. It came in bottles of red, white or rose’. That’s all I really knew! After spending three hours with Myriam in the vineyard, winery and cellar, I came away with a wealth of information that you just can’t get from books - it must come from someone who lives this life daily. It was truly fascinating and the small group setting was ideal. The tasting & food pairings at the end of the tour was excellent and delicious as well. By far, this was my best day in France!

Fascinating tour of a family owned vineyard and winery, guided by the very knowledgeable and charming Myriam. Starting in the vineyard where harvesting the Chenin Blanc grapes that would become AOC Vouvray wine was under way, followed by a tour of the winery and the amazing cellars carved into the limestone hillside. At the end, a delightful tasting of the excellent Vouvray wines paired with delicious local meats and cheeses. This was an excellent way to learn about how wine is made in the Loire valley, and about Vouvray wines in particular.

I booked the three-hour "From Vine to Wine" tour of the vineyard, winery, and cellar followed by tastings of 6 wines plus samples of excellent locally prepared food -- and every moment was a delight. Myriam, our guide and a member of the owners' family was almost exhaustively knowledgable about each aspect of the process, but it was not at all exhausting to listen to her as we walked because her charm, good humor, and obvious love of the land made for a fascinating afternoon. This tour would be fine for both a novice and a wine connoisseur. The Vouvray wines surprised me -- only one was "sweet" and even that was pleasing! And the pairings with local foods was sublime; quite beyond my expectations. All excellent value!

After so much research online on winery tour in the Loire region, what got our attention was this interesting small tour offered with more ins and outs of wine production. It turned out to be one of the best winery tour that we ever had. Myriam was such a great professional guide not only in her in-depth knowledge of the wine production and the wine industry in France but also in her charming story telling of her family winery life and how wine making is in Vouvray. We got quite fascinated with so much that we have never known on many “behind the scenes” in the life of winemakers, their passion, their love of wine and especially how winemakers in Vouvray work so hard to keep up with their quality tradition within the control of AOC. Her story of how her family’s own cellar was created by hand was so incredible. Highly recommended: an intimate tour of the vines and the amazing Alain Robert wine cellar, a great guide and a most charming hostess! Thank you so much Myriam for a memorable experience.

My family visited Vignoble Alain Robert, in Vouvray, Loire, as part of a wine tour from Paris. The host, Myriam, was gracious, engaging, and the light lunch of meats, cheeses, salads, and dessert, was yummy. We tasted, perhaps, a half-dozen wines, paired with cheese, and to my uncalibrated pallet (no wine tasting decriptors here), all were delicious. In particular, the sparkling white and rosé we had were fantastic. In fact, we ordered a case of white and rosé shipped to our home. The shipping didn't work so well. The vineyard uses Mailboxes Etc. and FedEx to ship. Apparently, the wine shipment got stuck in customs in ... I think New Jersey ... with no way out. And, so, our wine was shipped back to France. And, then they resent it. It got through the second time. It took about ten weeks. I am not sure what the customs problem was. Despite that, communication with Myriam to resolve the shipping hassle was great, and she worked to get the wine to us. It would be unfair to blame the vineyard for the failures of Mailboxes, FedEx, and the U.S. Customs Service. I am pleased to say that the wine arrived in very good condition and is ready for us to enjoy. All-in-all, friendly host, lovely vineyard, tasty wine, I recommend visiting and tasting wine at Vignoble Alain Robert, in Vouvray.
