Imram was a really fantastic guide. We learned a great deal about modern and historical Turkey while seeing the sights. He was wonderful to answer our children’s questions and we wish we had time to go on his culture tour as well. Definitely recommend.

What a fun experience! Junus took us all over the city, showed us as much as possible (we were also lucky with small queues and few other tourists). We learned a lot about history of Turkey, Istanbul, the city and the life. And the end we also got some amazing tips for places to visit. Totally recommended!

We had a great and knowledgeable guide who showed and told us a lot about hidden parts of the town and life here. Loved every minute of it, and his english was really good as well. 10/10!

This tour was very basic. The guide spent a lot of time explaining how to use cash machines and public transport and very little time actually explaining any of the history of the monuments we were looking at. The explanations we did get were not very detailed, and poorly explained so it was genuinely quite confusing historically. I don't feel like I learned anything about the history of Istanbul. We were really quite disappointed.

It was a slow and informative walk with our guide Imran today. Very enjoyable. He explained the history and stories well. The walking tour itself took about 2,5hrs with few stops along the way. Time flies fast. Hope to join another tour again with him in the future.

We took two tours with Yunus, one to the Blue Mosque and surrounding area and another to the university down to the Bosphorus. Both were excellent. Yunus is a great teacher, story-teller and he is very eager to engage the group and answer questions. I learned so much and had a great time. I would give this tour guide an A+.

Loved the experience. A thorough tour of Sultanahmet and plenty of ideas of what to do in the area. Our guide Ata was very knowledgeable and patiently answered all our questions. We learned many things about the Turkish culture. Thumbs up from Romania!

This tour did not disappoint. Yunus our guide is extremely knowledgeable and has great insight into the history of the city. From start to end the tour was packed with information and humour. Also while walking he supplied you with many useful do’s and don’ts tips for visitors. He was also full of ideas and recommendations as to places to visit. overall if you’re planning a visit try and schedule this walk as soon as you can it will set you up for your stay. Fantastic walking tour. Was a Great experience to know the insight history and culture of Istanbul. Tunis very was knowledgeable, entertaining and highly skilled at navigating the crowds and the queues. Loved the end as well at the roof terrace where we we’re served a free cup of tea and had a nice lunch. All by all a nice walking tour and highly recommended. Yunus was just awesome 🙌🏽

Fantastic free walking tour! Free Istanbul Tours offers a free tour every morning right by Hagia Sophia that lasts around 2 hours. The tour was an excellent introduction to the history and culture of Turkiye; we visited Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, Hippodrome, Grand Bazaar and some other sites. Our guide was super friendly, knowledgeable, funny and he was an excellent guide around the city. In the end we finished at a local shop where we had some free tea samples and Turkish delights. I also did the other tour in the afternoon and that was also great. In addition to having another fantastic guide I met some fellow travelers from around the world that I hung out with in Istanbul. All in all great experience!

We loved this tour. The guide was knowledgeable, entertaining and highly skilled at navigating the crowds and the queues. Yunus saw an opportunity to get into Hagia Sofia at the best time with minimal queueing, which we would not have realised for ourselves. Highly recommended for any first time visitor to Istanbul. Carry water, this trip includes detail and distance!

I loved the whole tour, but mostly the honest, objective, and professional information we received. We never felt pushed to buy or spend; the opposite, we were given many tips to make wise decisions and avoid being scammed or ripped off. Great time was had. Recommended!

the tour was really good. good way to dive into the city (culture+atmosphere). I did the classic tour and the alternative tour. can recommend both. it's great for solo travelers. I met some nice people and we went for dinner afterwards. the tour guide was very charming and adjusted the tour a little to some indoor sights as it was raining a lot that day.

A highly recommended tour. Younus is a very professional, knowledgeable and funny guide who will take you through a 2.5 hr journey through the history of Old city. Please note that you will mostly visit hagia sophia and the blue mosque from outside unless there were no queue for both. Also note that on Friday, the mosques open after 14:30. I would suggest going back in the evening time for a shorter queue to visit hagia sophia. You can book it through their website. They post on their website that its expected to pay/tip at the end of the tour with minimum 10€ or 200 lira but no obligations.
