This was an absolutely phenomenal experience! My family of 4 (two daughters ages 13 and 15) had a blast with Andy biking through the streets of Tokyo. I was a little apprehensive before the tour that we might be overwhelmed navigating the crowds and traffic but Andy took us on a route through the mostly calm back streets of Koenji and the surrounding neighborhoods. It was fascinating to see a side of Tokyo you just don't get when hitting the tourist hot spots. An added bonus was Andy's commentary as a long time resident about the daily life of raising a family in Tokyo, all while hitting some fantastic street food options. The standing Soba meal was a highlight of our trip. This is a tour not to be missed!

We had a great time. The food was fun and the ride was great. The ride was wasn’t that hard except for the tight spaces.

I learned so much about Japanese culture that I did not know from Andy - and tried foods I haven't yet tried (which is impressive, because this is my third trip to Japan and I have Tokyo-based friends!). It was really fun to be introduced to two parts of the city I haven't explored by someone who knows the area so well. Also, Koenji has a ton of fantastic vintage shops, so my sister and I did a *lot* of shopping after our tour wrapped. So fun!

Absolutely brilliant, well worth doing. Andy is so knowledgeable and so friendly. A really chilled out experience with an amazing insight into japanese Street food, all really tasty. All topped off with a drink and chat. Fabulous couple of hours. Thank you Andy from us all.

Visited Tokyo around New Years with a few friends in early 30s. This tour was one of the highlights of the entire trip... Even the skiing, haha low snow this year. Andy was great and had a ton of local neighborhood knowledge. He answered questions I didn't even know I had and in great detail. Such random fun facts. Great mix of food you may not have tried and enjoying the "experience."

Highly recommend this tour, Andy was well versed in local knowledge and was able to answer any questions that we had about the food, culture and Tokyo in general. The eateries he took us to were amazing, and definitely ones that you wouldn’t know about or wouldn’t think to go into without being a local. Overall a great experience!

I really enjoyed my time with Andy. He showed me parts of Nakano I'd never explored by myself. The food and the atmosphere were so great - I can really recommend this tour to everyone!

We thoroughly enjoyed our time with Andy, what a superb introduction to a less touristy area. The food he bought for us to eat was all very fresh and delicious. Some from places you would never find, or have the confidence to order from. It's certainly encouraged us to be more adventurous in the rest of out food travels around Japan. Andy's local streets were full or locay owner stores and family's out doing their shopping. We would certainly reccomy and hope to see Andy again one day. Thankyou Andy 👍

Andy was very welcoming and brought us to a part of Tokyo (Yanaka) I wouldn't have thought to of explored previously. The food choices were fantastic and I learnt a lot about local cultures, this is a must book activity if you want to learn a bit more about local cultures and get away from the super hustle and bustle of the main tourist spots.

Loved this tour - Andy is a fun, knowledgable and very enthusiastic guide. Highly recommended. Ate some delicious street food and saw a part of Tokyo and everyday life in Japan we wouldn't have learned about any other way. Don't miss it.

Andy did a great job walking us around the area, showing us his favorite places to eat and some unique culture spots too! We really loved the combination of food and history/ culture Andy infused into our tour. Highly recommend!

Highly recommend this tour! Andy is a great guide and showed us round a couple of neighbourhoods that weren’t on our radar and introduced us to some foods we wouldn’t have otherwise tried.

I booked this tour with great expectations and boy did it shatter them. Andy is an incredible tour guide with great knowledge of the food and area. All the food was great and nothing offered that is a bit unusual but I’m sure Andy could point you in the direction of where you could find some delicacies. See another side of Tokyo and the quieter residential streets. Enough food offered that you get a full meal! I understand Tokyo better now thanks to Andy. Must to when in Tokyo! Highly recommended. Thank you for a great afternoon! The Oyaki (waffle/pancake) was from the place any took us, had to have another on the way back!

We had a great time yesterday exploring a couple of areas of Tokyo we probably wouldn't have been to otherwise with Andy. The focus was on quick, good, cheap eats and how the locals eat. It meant we tried things we wouldn't have known to ask for and learnt a good few things about Japanese food. There seemed to be some very expensive options out there when looking for foodie walks but this tour taught us how you can get great food for a good price.

Thoroughly enjoyed the tour with Andy. Living in the west Tokyo area Andy is just the person to show you a few of the local food delights as well as give you a real view of what and where people from the area like to eat and come together. The tour takes you through areas that aren’t big touristy locations. Andy also takes you to his market where you can check out the local food people like to cook with. Andy is a great guide. Friendly and knowledgeable on so many things Japan, good communicator and willing to try to cater to all. Can’t recommend him enough. Oh and we met a couple who had done the tour before us and they were back eating at the eating stops again! That’s gotta be proof of value! Thanks Andy

Great day with Andy who knows his stuff. Did the tour on our first day of our trip. We tried some foods we had never heard of, and stuff we searched out later in the rest of our holiday! Andy is a great guide and took us off to local areas, not just the main tourist stops. It was a more like a friend showing you their food haunts, rather that a guide going through the motions. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a taste of local Tokyo.

We did this tour with Andy the afternoon we arrived which was perfect timing. He gave us so much info, hints and tips about just being in Japan. As for the food Yum. Andy is just brilliant, chatty, friendly, funny. It was a perfect start to our trip.
