Our family of 4 (children age 13 & 11) had a fantastic tour with Andy. Exploring local neighbourhoods allowed us to see a different side of Tokyo. Lunch at a local stand up noodle bar was a real highlight (fun & super yummy!!). Would recommend this tour without hesitation to anyone wanting to see the real Tokyo.

We had a wonderful time touring around Tokyo with Andy. We enjoyed seeing a different side of Tokyo. We did tourist attractions but what we really liked about this tour is we got to see and learn about how the residents live. We were able to meet some and everyone was so friendly and welcoming. Also sampling the different foods was a treat. We went to places we might not have found out about. We also passed the bike parking test. This is a 10 out of 10 tour. Highly recommend for anyone that wants to do something off the beaten path to learn more about what life is like in Tokyo.

First day in Tokyo and the bike ride with Andy was the perfect way to start our trip. Roding the bikes through quaint streets was awesome in itself, and the food was great, but what really made it special was Andy sharing so much interesting information about how the Japanese live, work and play. It set the bar so high for the rest of our trip and I know it will be a highlight. As long as you can ride a bike I highly recommend booking this experience. There is nothing like getting off the beaten track. It even rained for part of our ride and the kids didn’t complain once which is a first!

Absolutely the highlight of our Tokyo visit. Highly recommend this Cycling and Food tour for anyone looking for something just slightly off the heavily-trodden tourist track. Andy is a gem- friendly, expert and engaging. A few stops west of Shinjuku, the Koenji and Nakano suburbs are the places we will head to immediately on our next trip. Every street and lane way was a treasure, each pause at a place of interest was fascinating, and every food stop was delicious and generous. The bikes were a pleasure to ride, and for our family, including two teenagers, this tour was easily everyone’s favourite Tokyo memory. Great value and an unforgettable experience.Thank you Andy.

This was phenomenal. Really laid back tour packed with lots of inside info on what it's like to live in Tokyo. It's on the quieter side, so a nice complement to all of the big touristy activities.

Fantastic morning…..Andy was awesome, super knowledgeable about so many interesting aspects of Japanese life. The bikes were well maintained and fun to ride around. It wasn’t too busy so we always felt safe too. Some great food options which we wouldn’t have done if we hadn’t had him guiding us. Highly recommended! PS we did this the morning we arrived from Australia - a great thing to do to ease into your surroundings!

Such a worth while experience! We were fresh off the plane and new to Tokyo and Andy showing us the ropes and answering questions made all the difference for our experience in the city! Riding bikes was such a great was to view the neighborhoods and the quiet of the west side of Tokyo was a welcome plus from the craziness of the city!

Our tour guide gave us excellent insight into everyday Japanese life away from shibuya , Shinjuku, etc. And this is exactly what I was looking for

Andy gave us a local view of life in the inner-West, Tokyo style. Safe, chill and friendly, answered all my silly questions (including the one about rubbish collection!).

My favorite way to see a city is by bike so I've done quite a few bike tours around the world, and Andy's is fantastic! I thoroughly enjoyed cycling through the underrated nooks of Tokyo while hearing Andy's comments and insider knowledge as an expat living in Japan. If you are looking for a nice ride, good conversation, yummy Japanese food/snacks, and a more off-beat Tokyo experience, you won't regret booking this tour!

Andy is a warm person with a great knowledge about the local life. Biking through backstreets, he took us to hoods far away from "Shibuyastyle". We loved the tour taking us to Nakano, Asagaya and Koenji and returned to area in the evening after great tips! See you next time!

I had previously been to Tokyo a few times for work, and was looking for a different experience this time, away from the usual tourist attractions. So glad I found Andy’s tour. What an amazing and unique experience, cycling through the back streets, small alleys, and local neighbourhood! Big kudos to Andy. Very attentive and great in communicating. Tokyo had been raining quite a bit leading up to the tour day, and Andy was personally messaging us to communicate and confirm if it was safe to continue, while giving us an option for full refund if we are not up for it. Super glad I went ahead despite being an amateur cyclist, and it was completely safe and enjoyable despite the light rain. Lots of insights about local culture as well. Would definitely recommend Andy’s tour to those visiting Tokyo!

Andy’s bike tour was one of the highlights of our family trip to Tokyo. Such a great guy and we learnt more about the real way of life and culture of the Japanese people than we did from everyone else put together. We are not big fans of mainstream tourist attractions and tours and so the small group and more personal experience was perfect for our family. The cycling is easy and flat and it was a really fun and entertaining few hours with some tasty, authentic food along the way. Good value too. Thanks again Andy!

WOW, WOW, WOW Family of four including our sons aged 12 & 10 and we all loved this tour! We couldn't recommend this trip more highly. Having lived here 15 years ago it is so much part of life to cycle everywhere. Andy was the most brilliant guide. We loved seeing parts of Tokyo we were unfamiliar with, which will definitely go back to. The route Andy had picked was brilliant, safe, scenic and the local food was really great. Loved this tour.
