The views were spectacular and the guide was excellent. A great experience and plenty of saki to taste. The lights in the alleys were spectacular.

What a fantastic time we had on this tour with our guide, Thatcherer. Her knowledge and great personality made the night special. We started the tour by visiting the basement of a department store, where we learned about Japanese desserts, tea, wine, and scotch. From there, we headed to a local izakaya, where we had the most delicious bar food and sake ever! And there was a lot of it. Don't go on this tour with a full stomach. We then walked the streets, taking in the city's vibe on our way to the Golden Gai. We holed up in an exciting small bar for a few drinks. The place was so fun and we were having a great time, we lost track of time. I highly recommend this tour!!!!

Streets The shops and ancient sites of these cities are visited daily by eager and motivated travelers. Japan has its own beauties in every season The incredible high mountains of wildlife and the beautiful flowers are some of the strange attractions of this beautiful country.

As a solo traveller I cannot recommend these tours more! I was lucky to have Yuko as my guide around Shinjuku on my first ever night in Tokyo, and it was like meeting up with an old friend. I happened to be the only tour participant but Yuko ensured I had a fantastic time and offered to take photos of me at all night. Her recommendations kept me busy seeing the sights around Tokyo for my whole trip.

Absolutely loved this tour with the brilliant Ayaka who made our first night in Tokyo so much fun. It was great to try food we would never have even known existed, let alone order, and experience this vibrant city from a locals perspective.

I ended up booking this experience pretty last second and I was extremely happy I went through with it! Yoshi was an awesome guide who went out of his way to teach us about Japanese food and drinking culture. 10/10 would recommend!

This was honestly a great addition to my Japan trip with friends. Ayaka, who was our host, is absolutely wonderful and so kind. She is attentive and friendly. All the places we went to were awesome and we met many new people to have great conversations with along the way. She is extremely knowledge as well as patient with any questions we had. I know some basic Japanese but reading can be difficult. Having someone who is a native is definitely needed, especially when it comes to finding unique izakaya. Most menus are all in Japanese with kanji. Ayaka’s choices in food and drinks were superb!! Don’t miss out! If you’re thinking about this experience, I definitely recommend!

We had a most enjoyable evening with our guide Ayaka who took us to several izakaya bars. Great food and drinks but the best part as always was getting to understand the local people and hear their stories. Ayaka was informative, entertaining and spoke excellent English.

Yuki was an amazing tour guide and made us feel very welcomed and safe in Tokyo. He taught us Japanese words, introduced us to famous foods & drinks, and even introduced us to the locals.

This is a great tour of Shinjuku that will really takes what can be an overwhelming neighborhood and makes it feel like a small town. Very good tour, and the guide will make you feel like you are a group of friends connecting over good food and drink.
