I spent a wonderful few hours being guided around Toe Head by Conor. It was such a great outing, Conor's knowledge and love of the area gave us an insight to the history, culture and the flora and fauna of a place well worth visiting. This is a trip I so enjoyed and I'd recommend doing it with Conor and come away with an enhanced understanding of a wonderful area of West Cork.

Thanks to Conner for this amazing and breathtaking walk. The stories brought us back in time in combination with the astonishing views of wildlife and rough nature. Amazing insights into the local culture, wildlife and folklore. Conor is a natural storyteller and we would highly recommend any of the Gormú tours. We did others after doing this tour. Every parish in Ireland needs a storyteller like Conor who can bring a landscape alive.

The experience was amazing! Connor was outstanding!! He was so proud of his heritage, and shared so much of that pride with us! We learned so much about the history, and could really feel the generations that live there, and what their life was like. Connor topped off with homemade cookies and tea, and a wonderful story about the beach we were standing on!

The experience was amazing! Conor took us back in time with his many stories which made the walk much more fulfilling. The scenery was breathtaking!! At the end he served tea and his wife’s homemade Irish cookies, delicious 😋 this is a must in your visit to Cork!

Fantastic thing to do if you are in the area. The weather wasn't brilliant but the walk and talk with Conor was so good it didn't matter. Very entertaining and informative. Will definately be bringing the family next time. Can't recommend enough!

A perfect walk guided by Conor. Just the right combination of local history, story telling, archeology, flora and good humour and answering of questions, rounded off with very welcome tea and home made biscuits. We had such an interesting walk/hike around Toe Head, enjoyed Conor’s storytelling, local lore, fascinating insights into the flora, fauna and history of the area from Fionn Mc Cumhaill to the 1700’s to pre and post famine to WW2 outposts, absolutely fascinating! Highly recommend!

I could not recommend this guided walk enough. Conor was knowledgeable and a great story teller. This hike is suitable for individuals, families and couples. I am looking forward to doing Gormú's e-bike tours too.

Fantastic Tour, highly recommend! I went with my sister for a day out of the office. We were running late, and Conor was very understanding. We set of at a decent pace, we weren't under pressure at any stage at all. The stories along the way were the perfect combination of fun and interesting, the stories and stops were well timed. The views and the scenery were picture perfect - like something off a postcard. I would stay to anyone coming to Ireland on holidays 100% do this trip. You'll laugh and learn about the country while having a memorable experience. Anyone in Cork looking for a day out of the office or to do something interesting, maybe hosting a meetup this would be a fantastic idea. Coffee and a biscuit on the beach was an perfect ending. This is a walk well worth doing. Spectacular scenery lots of photo opportunities. Conor our guide was wonderful entertained us with lots of stories about the area and is so knowledgeable about local history etc. if you’re in west Cork make sure this walk is top of your to do list.

Our tour with Guide Conor O Buachalla was the most amazing experience. The beauty of the area, land and sea was astonishing, and Conor's love of Toe Head, (not forgetting the 'nose'!) its history, its physical features, and lore gathered from people who have lived there all their lives delivered with lively enthusiasm that belies his deep knowledge. He also related the place-names to physical features and events, so pleasure in the beauty of the place was enhanced and deepened.

Conor’s knowledge of the area is breathtaking. It’s a highly entertaining walk in stunning countryside, finishing with a well-deserved picnic. Highlight was the promontory fort and all the stories that went along with it.

Great walk on Toe Head with Connor of Gormu. Yesterday a group of us set out with Connor. We were blessed with glorious sunshine. Connor entertained us with interesting and some amusing stories at various points of historical interest along the way. The views and location were stunning. It was topped off by very welcome teas, coffees and home made biscuits on the each. A wonderful way to spend a few hours . Very worthwhile doing this.

What a memorable experience I had on the Toe Head Cliff Hike! Conor is an excellent guide passionate, entertaining and has a vast knowledge of the area. We were truly immersed in the landscape both past and present. I was blown away with the breath taking scenery, rare orchids and of the course the abundance of the Sea Pinks! My heart was full and this hike was real food for the soul. Could not recommend highly enough. I look forward to joining Conor on more walks in the future

What a stunning experience! I did this hike with a large group of humans and two dogs on a warm sunny day in late May. It is a wonderful ramble through stunning scenery including tiny lanes, sparkling strands and rugged clifftops. It is heaven for anyone interested in local history, wildflowers, birds and folklore. Along the way Conor, a very genial and knowledgeable host, told stories from the area - some intimate and funny, others sobering and thought-provoking. We also learnt the Irish names for local features, so important in understanding the area. Our hike was completed with strong coffee and homemade biscuits, absolutely delicious. I finished the tour with an unscheduled swim in the sea, a wonderful way to finish a truly memorable hike. Highly recommended. Go raibh míle maith agat Conor.
