Our guide, Joao Fonesca, was excellent. He provided a history of Portugal to put things into perspective; this helped us a lot not being that familiar with the history. During the walk Joao, provided lots of details of the architecture of the various buildings and how they fit into the history of the city. There was also enough time to take pictures and ask questions. We also went for a break at a local cafe where he was helpful in making suggestions re what to order. The only issue that we had was that occasionally the street noise would blur his discussions so you had to stand close to him.

Diogo is a Porto local with an incredible inside to Portugals history and last 50 years of growth. He took us around landmarks, neighborhoods, and beautiful views we may have never found on our own. Also provided us with many recommendations for restaurants, entertainment, and other local tours. Highly recommend this tour for your first experience in Porto!

The guide Joa gave a nice background of the sites we were visiting. Nice walking pace as he provided a bit of history to what we were seeing. Good overview of Porto and suggestions on what we can do on our own.

We are a family with two kids (9 and 11) and we all truly enjoyed the tour with Diogo. It was the perfect mix of history, culture, and tips for traveling in Porto. Diogo was great; so animated, passionate, and speaks perfect English. Nice size group. Not too big that you feel like you are in a herd of sheep. Very much recommend for your first day in the city to get introduced to some of the highlights.

Diogo is a great guide. His explanations are great, dramatic with a good sense of humour too. You don’t get bored even during the end of the tour. The QR code to explore city life, bars and restaurants at the end of the tour was a great finish.
