the tour was heavy, as you’d expect! but i cannot recommend Sum Cheath enough. He was considerate and very well informed and aware that he was dealing with delicate matters! Sum Cheath comes highly recommended

We were well looked after and well informed by our guide Mr. Sum Cheath. Firstly we were collected from our accommodation and dropped off afterwards, Mr Cheath was cheerful and welcoming providing cold water for free throughout - the tour was very eye-opening and thought provoking, so much was learnt (which was surprising that this was never taught to us from the UK). I highly suggest this to anyone who doesn't know of the history of cambodia, thank you so much again Sum.

A very emotional tour but worth it for all the education. Our tour guide (Baboon) was super informative and helped make day go as smooth as possible, highly recommend.

Certainly further educated us about The Khmer Rouge era and atrocities. Our guide, Mr. Baboon was excellent. We were able to meet one of two living survivors from prison which will be imprinted on our hearts forever.

It is difficult to know how to describe this tour . It’s a simply must do to get an authentic and realistic true experience of the horrors that Cambodia has recently endured and is recovering well from , apart from seeing the fabulous temples and other attractions. We were fortunate to have Sum Cheath as our guide , a very knowledgeable and talented guide who sympathetically yet explicitly advises of the history of the Genocide Museum , Prison and Killing Fields . It is mind blowing and takes a while to process what actually occurred here and so relatively recently in time . I would rate this tour highly , picked us up on time , free water offered . sim was fantastic sympathetic and appropriate guide . I also bought books written by the few remaining survivors of both the Killing Fields and of the S-21 prison , Sum Rithy and Bou Meng , respectively, the proceeds going to them and their families .

Baboon was a fantastic guide and explained everything in well detail. Would absolutely recommend this to everyone, make sure that it never happens again.

Very informative tour, Baboon was a great tour guide - obviously tough at times due to the nature of the tour, however, something you have to do to understand the recent history of Cambodia and put it into perspective

Our guide Sum Cheath did a wonderful job explaining the extremely confronting material we witnessed. If you have the stomach for these kinds of experiences, this tour is a great way to understand the atrocities of the war.

Harrowing story but it’s an important part of history. To have an understanding of what the people of Cambodia had to endure during this time. it’s hard to listen to but it’s a story that must be told! I highly recommend this tour.

A very moving experience. I suggest you attend S21 first to understand the history and then attend the killing fields. Whilst at S21 we hired a local guide (@$10 usd) where he explained the sad and horrific history of the school turned prison. The tour took about 1 hour. You can purchase headphones which will guide you around as well. Once at the killing fields, we purchased the headphones and listened to each point of interest ourselves. A shocking history lesson but one that needs to be told so as to never be repeated.

Sum Cheat was my guide for this tour and he could not have done a better job : noneless he gave us all the historical and political informations to better understand the events that occurred in those locations, but he did it passionately. You could feel he was highly touched by what happened there. Highly recommended.

A extremely difficult, challenging tour which was very professionally and compassionately led by our local guide, Mr. Cheath, whose parents had lived through the regime if The Khmer Rouge.

The tour guide was very informative and knowledgeable about the genocide and history. He shared the knowledge clearly, answered all questions, and spoke about the genocide’s impact on his family- emphasizing it’s recency and how it impacts Cambodia today.

Sun Cheath took us on this tour. His knowledge is tremendous and he gave a good insight regarding the situations the country had to survive in the challenging times. Some of the recruits were tiny children, very sad
