So, on 27th April 2024, I had to wake up in the morning at 5 to reach panjim at 7 am to join A Nature Trail Charao and I must say waking up that early was really worth it.... Soul Travelling promised to be fantastic experience that blends nature, history, and culture and yes they were beyond my expectation. In total there were 12 people including myself, who haved joined the trail. We started with a Boat tour on the backwaters through the mangroves of the Dr. Salim Ali Bird Sanctuary and also spotted variety of birdlife. The Ambassador helped us to identify the feathered friends we encounter. After that we visited this unique temple- Shri Devaki Krishna Temple, one of only two in India dedicated to Krishna and his biological mother Devaki, so also we learnt about the temple's interesting history and its relocation during Portuguese rule. after this we all enjoyed a delicious and authentic Goan breakfast with a mesmerizing view. This was really a perfect way to fuel up day's adventures. After the breakfast we hiked up a small hillock lined with cashew trees. This scenic trek leads you to the ruins of the Chapel of St. Jerome, the remnants of a once-thriving seminary. Lastly we went to a place for trying fenni. so there we ourself prepared cocktails for ourselves. Overall, this nature trail promises a well-rounded experience that caters to nature lovers, history buffs, and cultural enthusiasts. Soul Travelling seems to offer a comfortable and informative way to explore the best of Chorao Island. But in all this we cannot forget our ambassador Mr. Koonan Karan who was again a great host and kept us engaged and entertained throughout the trail. Again he is very knowledgeable about the trail and handles everyone with immense humbleness and patience, his presence in the trail itself makes the trail an amazing 1.

Our ambassador Mr. Rajat was a wonderful host. He explained us everything about the temple, church, history of the island. We finally got to know how is fenny made, we tasted it too. We had a Goan snack after a small trek. The most beautiful part was the boat ride through the mangrove, around the Island where we saw the birds in an undisturbed environment . Mr. Rajat made sure we saw the sunset. The ferry ride to and from the island was wonderful too. It surely is an unexplored area , not crowded at all. We would love to visit again. Immersive and insightful outlook at the cultural and historical perspective of Goa through the local community. Amazing trail to the feni distillery and lovely experience at the local tavern. Scrumptious local food and warm hospitality. The boat ride into the mangroves and on the Mandavi River at sunset is superb!

We were met by Royston at the ferry terminal. The day started with a ferry ride and then a boat ride through the mangrove swamp/ lake followed by tour to a temple ruins breakfast at a yoga centre and information about the distillery process of the local Urrak and Feni. Royston was very knowledgeable about the whole area and provided a very immersive experience. It was great to see and interact with the locals. Communication before, during, and after the trip was excellent. Would recommend this tour to my friends.

Starting with a few delays and hick-ups, the trail started with an amazing mangroves and river boat cruise. Next was the Devki-Krishna Temple. The home-cooked snacks was smacking. The urak and feni testing was one of a kind experience.

So, it was a very good experience and the guide( Rajat Betkekar) was so good!!! I would definitely recommend this to people!!!

The trail was indeed worth it and enjoyed every moment of it. From learning about birds, to learning about the history of Goa, temple, tasting food, a small hike to chapel and amazing foods and hospitality.

Our guide Rajat Betkekar was extremely knowledgeable, not only about the plants and birds, but the history of the island and Goa. He has a knack for storytelling that made the trail more interesting. The best part was definitely the start of the trail which is a short boat ride around the mangroves. We were able to get a sense of the ecosystem, seeing a variety of birds and fish.

Excellent tour hosted by Royston! We had a culinary and nature experience.. Would definitely recommend this to others :) cheers!

The experience by Soul traveling was amazing with making us feel a step closer to the nature. I love it as it aligns with my thought of experiencing the natural and cultural aspects of traveling and exploring offbeat places and it provides exactly that. Keep up the good work. And our guide for the day Royston was amazing with his very warm and friendly nature and his guidance into the details of the island was very enlightening indeed.

This has been amazing trip with Roy. Loved the way he explained and involved all members in the trip and kept if fun as well as informative.

Boat trip through mangrives was really good. We get to see lot of bird, and the explanation of the guide Roy was goid. Breakfast was also good.

Excellent local Goan tour. Loved the mangroves drive, local Goan breakfast. Royster is an excellent guide, his passion for the work is evident from the way he took through our places.

Royston is such an amazing guide, the way he explained the entire mangrove forest and the rest part, totally worth the experience.

Our host Rajat guided us well throughout the tour. The ferry ride to island was beautiful and then we had small trek to top of mountain to see Greek structure. Rajat then took us to fenny tasting made good cocktails . Post that we went on boat ride and observed beautiful sunset on island and did bird watching . Overall great experience and it ended with local snacks at Goan house.

Bob and Rajat were very nice and informative. They made the entire trip very fun. They were very warm and welcoming. They were ready to answer all the question we had. Would definitely recommend soul travelling and would again for future trips.

It was real nice, the boa ride was really good in the early morning, I enjoyed whole trip with our guide Royston, he was explained each and very placeswhere I visited, and he was very friendly.
