We did the day tour to the Gold Coast - a fascinating experience with historical importance and beautiful views of the national park. Ben is very knowledgeable, brings the history to life, took care of all the details and has a great sense of humor. Highly recommended!

Benjamin led us on a guided heritage tour in th Cape Coast region in Ghana. He adapted the visit to include the Assin Manso Slave Market and river instead of the Kakum National Park since we were most interested in the history and connections of Ghana to the slave trade. We really appreciated this recommendation. The hotel pickup and arrangements via whatsapp were good, and appreciate that it was earlier at 6am to beat traffic. Our driver for the day was great, too. The beachfront lunch was a nice break in a pretty long a d heavy trip given the content of the historic slave castles. I recommend the service! 🇬🇭

This was a great tour. We saw three great spots in and near Cape Coast, had a great lunch, and all of the transportation, ticketing and logistics were handled expertly by Ben. Early start and back in the evening. Highly recommend. Ben is knowledgeable and can help you learn a lot about Ghana.

Ben was patient with my family as we enjoyed the sights and experiences. Ben traveled into the locations with us and provided us space to connect with the dungeons and the tour guides. Not once did we feel rushed or stressed. The tours are beautiful and appreciate the pickup in East Legon Hills. It's about a 4 hour drive from where we were.

We enjoyed three tours with Ben and Emmanuel. They were approachable on all questions, well-informed about the destinations, and very personable. I did the Accra tour alone while my husband participated in a conference. We both loved the canopy bridges at the national park even though the humidity was high and the visitors are too animated for the birds to make an appearance. Really fun! Elmina and Cape Coast are sobering experiences. Although we read about them and had seen documentaries, the emotions of being on site motivated me to make a trip to my home library for some serious reading. AVOID Saturday if possible due to heavy market day traffic. If you must go on Saturday, depart from Accra before 6am. We also went to the Kumasi area where Kojo Boakye demonstrated block printing and dyeing, and Philip explained kente weaving. We were able to try our hand at both. Philip’s cacao presentation was outstanding. Three worthwhile tours that we highly recommend. Plus, Emmanuel and Daniel were accomplished drivers.

I highly recommend him if you are interested in learning more about Ghana culture. He was happy, friendly, educational and absolutely polite.

Great day! The tour itself was really nice and informative- the only thing i wish I knew in advance is how long it would take to get to the first stop in the morning. Otherwise would definitely recommend!

Following an outstanding culture and history of Accra tour, we decided to book a second tour with Emmanuel, which also lived up to the same excellent standards! As with the Accra tour, Emmanuel was super friendly, incredibly knowledgeable and really engaging. He literally couldn't do enough for us and made our entire experience! I would 100% recommend without hesitation.

We had a great tour with Emmanuel to Cape Coast. He is very knowledgeable about the area and adapted the tour when we had some particular constraints. He's super friendly and we felt relaxed, and well looked after. It was also a very comfortable drive from Accra out and back. We learned a lot and would recommend the tour wholeheartedly!

Ben and Emmanuel are very good people. They were both nice and picked us up way from PramPram, which is an hour outside Accra, and drove us all the way to Cape Coast. They were very helpful and informative along the way. And really anything that we needed, even outside the tour, they would accommodate or give us references. The one and only thing we didn't like during our tour is that we felt rushed. We wanted to take our time but was always on a time crunch. We're so sad that we didn't get our pics from Kakum National Park, bc we had to rush to Elmina. So unfortunate. But we enjoyed our tour and appreciate everything we learned.

We visited Acrra in December of 2021. We booked 3 tours with Bigbentours1gh while in Accra and all were amazing! We were pleased to experience The Homecoming Experience To Cape Coast and Elmina, Kumasi Heritage Tours and Naming Cermony, and Experience the Beauty, History and the Culture of Accra in a Day. Bigbentours1gh was nice enough to include a night tour of Accra at our request. So accommodating! Ben our tour guide was very pleasant, friendly, and very knowledgeable. He answered every single question that was asked. Our driver Emmanuel was a pleasant and safe driver for the duration of our 3 days together. We were picked up from our hotel promptly every morning (Due to the location of our hotel Emmanuel arrived early everyday and we would pick up Ben swiftly after. Don’t be alarmed.) We tried local favorites along the road during our day trips and they even made a special stop for some porridge! Sites visited during the tours: Kakum National Park Elmina Castle Lunch in Cape Coast at a local resort (was delicious) Cape Coast Castle Adanwomase (We purchased some beautiful Kente Cloth, tasted fresh items at the Cocoa farm and the naming ceremony was lovely!) Ntonso Adinkra Craftsmen (We made our own Adinkra ink scarf which was ours to keep and purchased some beautiful items as well.) W.E.B. DuBois Center Independence Square Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park Makola Market (Yes, we did some shopping!) James Town Lighthouse Center for National Culture Overall Bigbentours1gh provided great quality tours and is highly recommended if you visit Accra. Benjamin and Elijah are the best. They were knowledgeable, respectful, accommodating and prompt. I felt like I was on a road trip through history and culture with my distant cousins. I recommend this tour to everyone.
