Wonderful and memorable experience! We did the Dublin Wicklow pub tour. Our host was Shane and he was so knowledgeable and so much fun, we could have just stayed in the van all day without stopping anywhere. We visited several pubs on the tour, each with it's own charm and history. Some had really nice craft beers too. The two stops that we enjoyed the most was Johnnie Fox's and The Blue Light. The Blue Light was our last stop where we were able to participate in a live music/open mic session. It was small and cramped but cozy. People made room for us. Loved it. As we were sitting there, all of a sudden the most amazing beautiful voice came out of nowhere and starting singing. Literally stunned us with her voice. I will never forget that moment and it was a perfect way to end the night. If you are looking for a unique experience while in Dublin, take the rural pub tour. It was amazing! You will make new friends and come away with lovely memories. Thank you Shane!!! (Oh.. and thanks for the great recommendation on where to get a kebab lol)

Great tour. Guide was very conversational and made sure that everyone had a great time. The places on the tour truly had the authentic Irish Pub feel. I would strongly recommend to anyone who wants to get a feel for what Irish life is like outside of Dublin.

Shane was the BEST tour guide. Only having 5 people on our tour made it very personal and just an amazing experience. I would recommend this tour to everyone!!

the review starts and end with shane - Shane is the tour and the experience From the get go picking us up , to knowing every body in person , discussing the passion of Ireland and their whiskey and taking input about your passions in drinking from back home , hes the hero of the trip He made sure we enjoy every little pub , we went to , talk about the history of the village , the pub , the history of the area , and making sure we enjoy to the fullest from Rathdrum , bates bar to Glencullen - enjoying live music to Kilgobbin , where we heard bunch of village folk singing for fun in most picturesque hills of wicklow - this was dream come true Shane can recommend local beers in addition to Whiskey , places to go and thier history in one breath and being a product of local dublin town - he can talk for hours about recommendations if places to visit in ireland This is the tour we will give 10/5 just because of Shane !!!!

All the pubs we visited were great. Our driver Shane absolutely made the trip for us. He was awesome! Had very friendly people on tour with us. Met some wonderful folks in the pubs and had a ball singing at The Blue Light

We always wanted to enjoy a good ol' rural Irish pub you'd see on TV. This Mountain Pub Tour did not disappoint! Shane was an amazing host driving us around, giving us Irish history and just showing us a great time. All the locals we interacted with on the tour were incredibly friendly and treated us as if they have always known you. No joke, my wife and I were looking at houses out there during the tour. Shane even checked on how the rest of our night went the next day and offered additional places he recommended. I can't recommend this tour enough! You won't regret it!

Shane was an amazing guide on our Mountain pub tour. Full of local knowledge, history and laughs along the way. This excursion is a must thing to do to experience real pubs , real people, great drinks, authentic food and beautiful landscapes away from Dublin.

If I could give this 10 out of 5 stars, I would! I was super lucky (luck of the Irish at work?) and their first tour of the year fell on my boyfriend’s birthday! I knew I had to book it when I found out and it was a highlight of our trip to Ireland! Shane is absolutely wonderful. He is super funny and will make you feel so welcome. We could not have asked for a better tour guide. We went to 6 amazing pubs that all made us feel welcome. We even had someone sing us a song! Pub culture is so quintessential in Ireland and I can’t recommend this enough. Thank you Shane for making this a birthday for Dan to remember!

This was the best tour I’ve had in years and I travel/tour very frequently. I took this tour by myself and I felt extremely safe, welcomed and met people I will never forget. Shane went as far as sending me recommendations to local music venues after the tour. I absolutely recommend this tour and I look forward to taking it next time! Thank you, Shane! Note: I get carsick easily and never had a problem. I thought it would be too long but I wish it would have went on longer. Believe the 5/5 stars!

I can't say enough good things about this tour and the infamous tour guide, Shane. This tour exceeded my expectations. It is the perfect combination of the hustle and bustle of the city life of Dublin but also the country side filled with gracious locals and great beer. You'll want to go over and over again like me.

Fantastic tour of some of the best pubs in the wicklow mountains. Our guide Shane was a blast and got involved "just the right amount" to generate a friendly buzz on the bus, without being overbearing. Food was delicious. We had plenty of time in each venue and never felt rushed. All in all I thought this was fantastic trip and great fun - can't wait to do it again!

We’ve loved taking visiting friends on this tour so much that we finally arranged an outing full of our local friends. And wow did we have a fantastic time! There’s nothing like some mountain air and top notch pints, especially with the holiday vibe. Shane is incredibly helpful, kind, and funny. This was probably the most fun you can legally have! The small group was wonderful for meeting new people and having a chance to talk with locals. We visited six charming pubs in the beautiful Wicklow and Dublin Mountains. The tour returned late at night and my only complaint was that it got too dark to see the beautiful Irish countryside on our return drive. Unless the tour company figures out a way to tilt the planet, I can’t blame it on them!! Shane was the perfect host/driver/guide and genuinely wanted everyone to have fun. I highly recommend this tour, even if you are not a drinker of alcohol.
