I had a great day along Cape Coast! Portia was a great guide! The driver Enoch could have driven a littler slower. All of us were feeling a little scared and some even sick. However, the tour itself and the stops we made were great and very informative!

It was well organised. The tour guide is friendly and helpful. I really enjoyed the trip, especially the national park. Will stay for the bird watch next time.

It was an early 6:30 am start to beat the rush hour traffic with our guide Joe who was very accommodating and kept us very informed about the trip and contemporary Ghanaian life throughout. This is a full day trip, and we didn't get back until dark as on the way back we hit the Accra rush hour which is not for the faint hearted. It takes almost three hours (including a 20-minute pit-stop) to get to Kakum National Park. The canopy walk is up to 140 feet in the trees across all manner of narrow bridges and walkways. We walked across all seven bridges in what was an extremely pleasant and adventurous expedition that both children and adults would love, even if you don't have a head for heights. Then it was on to Elmina and Cape Coast castle. Slave castles. This part made the excursion an emotional rollercoaster of a day. Historically, the castles complete the links between the plantations of the Caribbean, Americas, and the lands of the African continent. We called at both Elmina and Cape Coast Castle with a delicious chicken, jollof rice and plantains beach-side lunch in between. The stories from the castles themselves were quite traumatic and just seeing the whitewashed walls and brilliance of their construction was quite soul destroying. We were witnessing first-hand the well-preserved remnants of what must have been a colossal investment in inhumanity and brutality executed to first class engineering standards. Plus, hearing that a church was built over a dungeon to drown out the cries of the enslaved was very painful to even contemplate that the architects and designers literally thought this all through. It's always best to remember as well that not all members of the groups listening to the tour guides have an emotional investment in visiting the castles and as a consequence are occasionally apt to say insensitive things out of embarrassment, ignorance or plain stupidity. So best to buckle up emotionally. Definitely the 'best' excursion of the week, if 'best' is the right word.

This was the best tour we went on during our stay in Accra, without a doubt. It is quite an emotional rollercoaster and historically completes the circle between the Caribbean, Americas and Africa for the Atlantic trade. The stories from the castle are quite harrowing, so it's best to put on your emotional armour for the day. Joe our guide was excellent. He was attentive, patient, conversational and a mine of information about the trip and contemporary Ghanaian life.

This was a great all day tour. Our tour guide George was amazing, really informative, a safe driver and just so helpful. He was happy to answer any questions we had. I would definitely recommend any of my family and friends to do the tour with him. All the stops on the tour were amazing. From walking in tree tops, seeing crocodiles, and the amazing history of the two castles. When you do the tree top walk I would suggest you have a cross body bag or pouch to hold your things, or pockets big enough to hold a water bottle as you will need it as the walk up to the bridges is a workout! You learn so much on the tours of the castle. The guides are so Knowledgeable. It really makes you think about everything that went on there. Also we had lunch at a lovely restaurant on the beach and the food was so tasty and reasonably priced.

Very professional and well planned tour. Both the natural reserve and the historical castles were amazing. The guide accomodated our request to be dropped off in Cape Coast which was most appreciated. The minibus was air conditioned and comfortable.

I would highly recommend this tour. The canopy walkway was amazing and Elmina and Cape Coast castles were such eye openers. Both guides were good but especially our guide at Cape Coast Castle. He was so informative and clear in his delivery. George our driver was lovely as well. We really enjoyed the day.

This was my first time travelling alone and booking a tour alone. Everything was 10/10 for me. I booked pretty last minute, but George got back to me and confirmed my trip within one hour. They delivered everything they promised. The driver, Moses, was amazing. He made me feel safe and had a killer playlist to keep us entertained during the long drive( traffic is crazy).

I would 100% recommend this tour to everyone visiting Ghana! Our tour guide Joe ensured that our trip was comfortable, insightful, and entertaining from start to finish! The tour guides we had at each of the stops were equally excellent and attentive! A special thanks to Jah from Kakum National Park and Mark from the Botel who were so thorough with their descriptions and insights!

The tour guide, George, was awesome. He was very accommodating and knowledgeable. Be prepared for a loooong day. The drive to and fro takes the longest of any one excursion. The history learned at the castles is saddening and makes one thankful to be alive today. More time is spent at Elmina than Cape Coast Castle. The canopy walk is fun, but you will get hot and sweaty. Be prepared to walk. Finally, the food was pretty good. Warning: the snapper and tilapia are not equal in size…Overall, an enjoyable and worthwhile experience!

Incredible experience. Very humbling. Joe was an amazing guide and driver. Lots of driving to get to Kakum, Elmina and Cape Coast slave castles, but a very educational and informative experience.

I signed up for the tour to see Elmina Castle and Cape Coast Castle, both of which were valuable experiences as we were able to walk through most rooms of the castles. The canopy tour far exceeded my expectations! Bring an extra t-shirt! Everyone was so sweaty after. It was a lot of time in the van but the other members of the tour were great and lunch on the beach was a treat.

George, tour guide, did a great job. I was lucky enough that I was the only person on the tour that day. Lucky me! He was very personable and extremely courteous. I would highly recommend! 👍🏾

I truly enjoyed this tour from start to finish. George was our driver and he was organised, timely and informative. The day started early (before 6) and ended after 6 due to the distance to Cape Coast but the car was well maintained and air conditioned + had wifi. We enjoyed Kakum park, a crocodile viewing (as a bonus stop) and the 2 slave castles. There were private guides at each location which was fantastic. There were snacks for us in the morning. The lunch stop was very good (cost ~180 GHC). Really excellent experience and excellent company. Would HIGHLY recommend.
