James was my guide and he did an absolute phenomenal job of taking me through history and the story behind the artifacts. This is definitely a worthwhile experience and I highly recommend it to anyone who wishes to see beyond just the "objects" in the museum.

Becky did a great job showing and explaining many parts of the museum. The museum is so big and overwhelming a semi private tour was the perfect choice for us!

Becky our guide was amazing. She had extensive knowledge of all of the major pieces and yet she kept all of us, including the teenagers in our party, engaged and entertained. Perfect tour to book for families visiting the museum.

Our guide (Becky) was interesting, personable and funny. She was obviously very knowledgeable about the history of the museum and its collections and brought a enthusiastic sense of living history to her presentations. I booked the tour an hour before it started and Matilda was AMAZING! The museum is WAY too huge to do this on your own, book the semi-private guided tour, maybe twice! Matilda was professional, fun and of course and most importantly knows a little about every part of the museum and all of its history/collection. She gave some details/backstory history that you would definitely not get on your own, and it was great to have someone to actually discuss the history with.

The tour guide provided insightful explanations and analysis regarding many objects as well as speaking to the history of museum and current issues facing. I learned a great deal, and that was the my goal. This was a truly worthwhile tour - start to finish. Top notch experience.

I will never go to a large museum again without booking a tour guide. But Andi will be a hard act to follow. He was an expert, not just in history but in navigating the enormous British Museum with eight of us in tow. Overall - a terrific experience that I would do again.

The semi private tour is the only way to do a museum with school-age children! Our guide Andy was fantastic with our boys 11 and 13 years old and really made the museum come alive for them and for us.

The museum is too large to tackle on your own and we were only in London one day (passing through) This was the perfect tour to get an overview of the museum and hit the main attractions. Our guide was Sheldon and he did an awesome job showing us the key exhibits and also some we would never have seen…nicely providing some very enjoyable background stories! Highly recommend!
