Alex and Alberto were top notch guides and made us feel very comfortable in potentially dangerous situations. Safety was always the priority. Their knowledge was never in doubt. The route we took was spectacular and hit every stereotypical visual idea of “Amazonian Rainforest Waterfall route”. Worth every penny.

Canyoning with Ivagatours was one of the best things we’ve done during our four months travelling around South America. The adrenaline highs you get from jumping off and rappelling down the waterfalls are awesome. The setting in the canyon is spectacular and beautiful, we even saw a female ‘cock of the rock’ nesting with a baby bird while in the canyon. Mateo, Alberto and Jeraldi were excellent guides - professional and fun with a great energy. Mateo explained all the safety instructions very well before we got started, and all three guys helped us in the canyon to make sure we were staying safe while still having heaps of fun. If you love adventure I wouldn’t go past this activity in Baños. Also, the included lunch was delicious!

The guides, Mateo and Christopher, were amazing! They explained everything clearly and made it all feel very safe. They took their time, took amazing photos for us, and had great personalities. It was very fun and we had a great time. Definitely make sure you will be physically capable of doing some difficult climbing and jumping on slippery rocks. It's not easy, but if you can do it- it's worth it and very fun.

Great fun canyoning in banos! Adrenaline and beautiful waterfalls with some rappelling and swimming/walking through water. Alberto & Renaldo were great guys and communication in English easy.

Chivito, Mateo, Jared were outstanding guides. Kind, fun, super adventurous yet safe. They took so many measures making sure we were safe. Highly recommend this tour for people who want a sense of rope climbing, repelling, and waterfall jumping.

This was an incredible trip. In fact, we did the 5 hour canyoneering trip, a half-day ATV quad trip, and the Adventure Park San Martin, with this guide outfit. Each trip was amazing! The company is not pushy, very helpful, and authentic. I'd highly recommend working with them for doing trips out of Baños. I have confidence that they can organize any trip well. And, I'd frankly recommend the exact adventure 'programs' that we did, especially if you want to push your comfort zone by a LOT. I'm a pretty rugged, fit guy, paraglider, trail runner, etc. These trips were so fun, but maybe best for adults who are who ready to push their limits in terms of risks. All of the activities are run safely, but you aren't coddled like a child like you would be in the US. Canyoneering , for example, you just are told to jump 24ft into a raging waterfall. 1–2-3. Go!

This excursion was one of the best in Ecuador so far. It was seamless from beginning to end, starting with the transportation then training and finally the main event! Matteo and Alfredo were the best making sure we enjoyed every possible view, jump, swim, and repel through the beautiful waterfalls.

Our guides were Mateo, Gerald, and Alberto and they were all amazing! They knew the river extremely well and we felt super safe the whole time which made it all the more easy to enjoy the crazy jumps, repelling, etc. They had great energy and made the whole experience more fun:) On top of it all, the river and waterfalls were absolutely beautiful the whole way. Highly highly recommend!

My wife and I went canyoning with Ivagatours out of Banos, Equador. This was our second canyoning experience, having also done canyoning in Dominica. We are active 60 year olds and had no problem navigating the canyon with the assistance of our guides. What a thrill! Our day started early at Ivagatours office in Banos. We were greeted by smiling, friendly staff and found that we were the only two participants on the tour that day. Three young men were our guides and they were outstanding! Mateo, Steven, and Daniel made the experience safe and enjoyable during our incredible day. Following a 40 minute drive to the canyon, we found the river too high & rough to start. Safety was the number one concern. We were driven back to a small town (approximately 15 minutes) to a restaurant where we would also have lunch later in the day. After about an hour, the sun came out and we returned to the canyon to find conditions had improved and the river at a safe level. We donned wet suits, helmets, & sneakers and did 3 jumps of 4,8, and 10 meters, two rappels, and a float down over a small waterfall & zip line. Mateo, Steven, and Daniel did all the rigging safely with quality equipment. They were very knowledgeable and made the whole adventure fun. They were SO positive & we felt they actually enjoyed what they were doing. We always felt safe during our challenging but thrilling experience. Afterward, we were able to change into dry clothes at a local facility and then returned to the small village restaurant where we had an amazing lunch with a delicious potato soup to start, then a choice of local trout, chicken, meat, and vegetables. It was wonderful. Returned to Banos and received a link to a video of our adventure. Great memories. All in all a fun, challenging, and thrilling experience! I would definitely recommend Ivagatours for Canyoning in Banos, Ecuador. Thank you Mateo, Steven, and Daniel for a GREAT day and a thrilling but safe experience!

Unforgettable experience for sure. We took this tour as a family with two kids ages 11 and 13. My husband and son truly enjoyed every minute of it. For myself and my daughter, we had to overcome our fear of hights. Our guides, Alberto and Mateo, were extremely professional and most importantly, supportive and encouraging ❤️ We will definitely never forget this experience and I see us many years down the road talking and giggling about how scared and brave we all were.
