Great Excurcion, The spots we saw where just beautifull. And the guide was really friendly and always ask us what we would like to see next. You can go for it no doubts. Just great and amasing. We never saw something like this

I had booked this tour well in advance and was looking forward to it. There I was, waiting to be picked up, as arranged, outside the hotel. After 20 minutes of no-show, I phoned the number and was informed that Algar de Carvão isn't open on Mondays, so the operator had cancelled the trip. This incompetence ruined my trip to Terceira. The tour operator should obviously not accept bookings for days when attractions are closed. I could easily have planned to do things differently had I been warned in time. I asked for a refund over the phone - after all, it was the operator who cancelled, not me - but so far it has not been forthcoming.

We had a great tour seeing the caves and landscape of the island and Rafaella was a great tour guide! We really enjoyed it and learned a lot about Terceira too.

Whilst we weren't blessed with the best weather, Chris proved an excellent tour guide, driving us around the volcanology highlights of the island and giving us loads of information. She was also full of local knowledge and told us much of the recent history of this beautiful island. Whilst the lava tube (Gruta do Natal) and the sulphur springs (Furnas do Enxofre) were amazing, the highlight was the enormous Algar do Carvao. This trip was well worth doing!

Really enjoyed the afternoon tour with Chris, she was prompt to pick us up from hotel and then collected 2 others from their hotel before setting off. She was very informative and happy to explain all sorts of information about the island as we drove to our first stop. During the afternoon we went inside the cathedral caves, down a lava tube saw sulphur steam bubbling from the rock and ended at the cheese tasting bar! Fascinating experience, one I definitely recommend to visitors to this beautiful island.

Chris was a great guide and informative. Enjoyed the duck pond a lot. The cave chimney was amazing! We found the tour company by walking towards downtown.

This was the best tour we did during our stay in the Azores. We had Tania as our guide and she was wonderful. She was very knowledgeable about the island even though she has only lived here 3 years. She also knows Hungarian, English, and German fluently and also speaks Italian and Portuguese. We were the only ones on the tour and both feeling a little under the weather but she kept us entertained. The tour had about 5 different stops where we’d get our a walk around. We walked through lava tunnels, into a volcano and up on top of the highest point of the island. Tania knew a lot about each stop. We finished at a cheese factory that was really cool. They had super yummy ice cream and a beautiful view with a balcony. We were glad we booked this tour.

We toured 2 caves on Terceira plus toured various places on Terceira. This was our 2nd visit to visit Algar do Carvao which was awesome, because it is amazing to be able to go inside a cave. We also visited a lava tube which was amazing. Our guide was incredible knowledgeable explaining the history of the two caves. He also took us to a part of the island which overlooked "goat" island.

I was so impressed and touched by how hardworking and accommodating this tour was. My partner and I contacted TuriAzores to see if we could take the tour by arranging a pick-up at the Lajes Field Airport. We also let them know that we were very interested in visiting the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Angra do Heroísmo. They effectively created a customized tour for us that fit in with the schedules of a few other travelers. It was lovely! We saw the beauty and wonder of the Gruta do Natal, lava tubes, and the volcano along with the towns of Angra do Heroísmo and Praia da Vitória and had a terrific time. Tanja was wonderful!

We booked on to this trip on 25 August and our guide was Tania from Norway. We shared the trip with another couple from the UK. We had an absolutely fantastic time on this trip. Tania was very knowledgeable and made it a fascinating trip. We got to see caves, craters (with some breathtaking views) and went up the highest point on Terceira. Tania drove us around and we got to see a lot of the island; it saved hiring a car and gave a great insight into the island. We are definitely coming back!!!!!!!!

We did this wonderful trip with Tanja from Turiazores. She speaks at least English, German, Italian and even Norwegian! She told us lots of interesting things about the history and life on this island. We went inside two volcanos, and driving around in the beautiful mountains on Terceira felt a bit like visiting Jurassic Park. Put this trip on your must-do list.

Marina took care of us and gave us a wonderful tour of the caves and some other beautiful locations on the island.

Näimme paljon lyhyessä ajassa. Oppaamme oli erittäin mukava ja ammattitaitoinen. Kohteissa oli riittävästi aikaa tutustua paikkoihin.

Excelente visita proporcionada pelo guia Miguel. Não só conhecemos a ilha, como descobrimos algumas curiosidades locais. Aconselho vivamente, não só pelo preço como também pela simpatia :)

Der Auflug mit Miguel war eine tolle Gelegenheit die schöne Insel Terceira zu entdecken. Neben dem höchsten Punkt der Insel haben wir auch die Lavahöhlen sowie den einzigen begehbaren, noch aktiven Vulkan der Welt besucht. Miguel's Erklärungen waren sehr interessant und ausführlich. Im Anschluss durften wir sogar noch lokalen Käse degustieren. Erwähnenswert ist ausserdem, dass Miguel ganz ohne Probleme uns unseren Ausflug um einen Tag verschieben liess, da wir aufgrund eines annulierten Fluges erst einen Tag später auf der Insel ankamen.

Erst mal vielen Dank an Tanja die uns diese unglaublich tolle Tour ermöglicht und uns begleitet hat. Von der Abholung im Hotel bis zur Rückkehr hatten wir unglaubliche Aussichten und Ansichten. Man kann dies nicht in passende Worte packen kurz gesagt das müssen die eigenen Augen gesehen haben. Einer der spektakulärsten Ausflüge ever!!! Danke noch mal Tanja!!!
