We had a great time on this trip. Our guide Ozzi was speaking English and German fluently and told us about some history and sights. We stopped at several locations where he left us enough time to visit (1 hr at the Teide). Ozzi was patiently answering our questions and was quite funny. We would recommend this trip.

Really accommodating and friendly guide, despite the weather stopping the view it was a great experience in a beautiful national park it disnt feel rushed and plenty of photo opportunities

We drove to the meeting point and the guide was ten minutes late. It was the small group so just 8 and the van was new and clean but cramped. The guide in general was very informative and friendly. At the main stop where the cafeteria is we had just an hour which is not really long enough. The guide was also again 10 minutes late as we all waited outside. He was inside chatting with colleagues. The food at the cafeteria was not overpriced and not good so I would skip that. The description said the tour would be 4-5 hours but it was 3.5 including the pick up and drop off drive. Lastly, I would recommend that there is one or two pick up/drop off points instead of hotels. It made the journey boring at the start and end as we would need to go through everyone’s location as we were the last one. Lastly the guide didn’t drop us off where he picked us up so we had to walk 10 minutes to the location. Overall we spent more time in the van than outside. Would be nice to have more stops and longer stops.

The trip was a lot of funny. Or guide knew so much about the national park as well as the history of the island. We got to see a Lot, and also had enough time to wonder around

We had a nice trip and saw lots. We had Pablo leading our tour who was nice but wasn’t as informative as we were hoping and based on other reviews we have seen, was less talkative than Ozzy. We still had a nice time though

What a fabulous trip! Out of this world views and a knowledgeable guide. He gave us just enough information in an entertaining way. He selected quick stops as well as the main Teide one so we could have a good look round.

Incredible experience seeing many highlights of the Park and seeing up close to Tiede. Also really enjoyed learning more about Tenerife and the history of Tiede National Park.

This tour is a definite must do when visiting Mount Teide! Our tour guide Ozzy was very informative, providing insights into Tenerife and Mount Teide’s history, stopping at opportune times across the mountain landscape to explain certain rock formations as well as the flora and fauna found in the national park. The small size of the tour also allowed Ozzy to stop at areas otherwise inaccessible to large tour buses, giving our group a chance to immerse ourselves in the beauty of Mount Teide. Ozzy’s in-depth explanations of the mountain were very interesting and left us with an enlightened understanding of Mount Teide. Ozzy was an excellent guide and this tour is a definite must-do to experience Mount Teide and its natural wonders!

Prologue. In the light of our non too thrilling experience, the administrators of Tenerife Stars were invited to reimburse us in part or in whole but they have indignantly declined to do so. Over many years I have been driven great distances in vans, cars, and trucks great and small: New York to LA, Asia, West Africa, Europe etc but this was the first time I have ever felt so sick in a moving vehicle. The journey We were contacted by the Tenerife Stars to ask if we could travel in their van on an earlier date because it was going into a garage for work. We had to decline because we were not even in the country. At the appointed time and rendezvous (with signage on the door that strongly suggested it was a rental) a very small 6 passenger van arrived. As the last to be picked up we were squashed into the back of it. I had misgivings but felt that I could hack it. The seating was minimal, the leg room terrible. There were no opening windows, ventilation was limited and there was precious little visibility. While a perfect van for short journeys around town it was and is utterly hopeless for paying tourists to briskly travel on convoluted roads up and around Mount Teide (which at 3,715 metres is the highest mountain in Spain). We set off at a brisk pace, whipping round bend after bend. My wife who has a pretty strong stomach for this sort of thing was soon feeling sick, while I was feeling very sick. After about 30 minutes, when I summoned up the courage to ask the driver to slow down (which he did), it was basically too late (but not that late!). Thereafter with the promise of a stop at Vilaflor (@1400 metres) I was entirely focused on keeping my breakfast where it was supposed to be. On arriving at Vilaflor driver was keen to move the other passengers into the back seat but; (a) that would not have been fair on them and (b) I knew that another 100 metres in that van and I would have been done for. We requested a taxi be sent to take us back to the hotel. The wait gave our insides a chance to calm down. The taxi arrived and with a few words of Spanglish between us, the driver intuitively understood the need to travel back down to the hotel smoothly and at a sensible speed. Some 200 customers are clearly happy with this tour but that is no reason for complacency. The very least that Tenerife Stars could have done on this occasion would be to say ok, we messed up, the chosen replacement van was entirely inappropriate. Please accept a reimbursement of the fee and our apologies. From this epic failure the inference must be that Tenerife Stars are not overly concerned about customer comfort or satisfaction. The cost of this epic failure: £95.76 + Euro 37 (+ a decent tip) for the taxi.

The highlight of our holiday in Tenerife. We got some amazing photos of the landscaped and volcanoes. Ozzi was very knowledgeable about the island and is clearly very passionate about the place he has called home for almost 20 years. We loved all the facts and stories as we made the drive up and down the mountain. A wonderful host and it was a tailored and personal experience. Would really recommend it, a must see and made even better with a great guide taking us to all the cool places the big buses can’t stop! Thanks again Ozzi.
