Technically, this tour was fine: we were picked up on time, and our travel guide was knowledgeable and fluent in English, Spanish and German. My reservations about the tour are really more about my own tastes: unless you like rocks - big rocks, small rocks, piles of rocks, jagged rocks, smooth rocks, black rocks, grey rocks, rocks ground into sand, etc. you may not find this tour terribly engaging. I did not. The cable car was not running on the day we did the tour - I understand this is totally beyond the control of the tour company but if we had been able to take the cable car, the tour might have been less uninteresting.

So much time wasted on the bus and hanging about. We stayed at Paraiso and were picked up last so dropped off last. This was today’s itinerary: Picked up 30 mins late 0815 0830 Stopped at a bus stop to offload those who are walking Teide and those who speak German so they can pick up another bus. Hung about for 25 mins 0855 left bus stop Missed out the 30 min coffee stop because guide said there were too many buses there already because we were running late. Then goodness or I’d have been raging at all this fannying about. 0945 arrived Base area, allowed off bus for 15 mins to look round 1006 left, 1015 arrive Teide cable car, told we’re leaving again at 1215 Left 1229 1240 stopped at volcano for 10 min wander 1325 stop again at coffee/gift shop to wait on our 6 German speakers coming back Left 1356 Multiple drop offs at various hotels before we got back to our hotel 1510 Felt like it was such a waste of a day. I read some other reviews and realise now we’d have been better getting the local bus there and buying our cable car ticket separately

Excellent, knowledgable guide, comfortable bus. The time given for pick up through trip advisor was however was inaccurate by 30 mins so we had a long wait for bus at 7.30am. Both visitor centres visited were very nice. Unfortunately due to wind conditions we were unable to go on cable car which was a big disappointment as this was the whole point of the trip for us. Guide told us that we are entitled to receive a refund for the cost of the cable car. I absolutely cannot find where on trip advisor to request this refund. I wish I had booked directly with the tour company.

I booked the tour with the chairlift, but it was too windy. Awaiting a partial refund. I'm glad I got to see the park, but there isn't really enough time to hike which would have been great! There was a stop 30min into the drive which wasn't really necessary, and again on the way back. The guide was great. Probably better to rent a car if you're wanting to enjoy the park.

The tour company was excellent. Catering for different languages and allowing enough stops along the way for breaks. The views and scenery that you will see are absolutely fascinating and stunning. The tour guides were great here as they are explaining it all to you so you know what you are looking at. Overall, this was a great tour and superb value for money. Easily recommended.

We were lucky, the cable car was cancelled all week, until our tour on Thursday. ( unfortunately this can happen anytime because of the wind for safety reasons) The bus was a bit late, but we didn't wonder about it as they needed to pick up people from a lot of places, and ours was the last pick up. So we started our tour fairly smoothly and shortly realised we have a brilliant, smiley and knowledgeable guide, Blanki and a very good, calm driver. We stopped at Vilaflor for a little coffee etc., then drove to the cable car base, then up to 3,555m. It was very well planned, everything went smoothly. Well, at 3,555m several people struggled, as it was too high for them and not enough oxygen for them, plus their body reacted badly for the air pressure differences. I was lucky, I had no any reaction, but my husband had some problems....... you never know until you are there. My advices: - Take warm clothing, it was 6 C up there. - Don't forget to put on your hat ( as I did), or put suncream on your face. - If you feel dizzy, sick or any pain ( headache, stomach problem....) which doesn't go away after a short time - take the next cable car back to the base, as your body still couldn't adjust the different circumstances up at 3,555 m. Personally we highly recommend this tour via Volcano Teide Experience.

2 star only for the tour guide Juan. He was very good and knowledgeable but the tour operator is cheat and deceiving. First they make you miss your breakfast and ask you to reach pick up point at 08:15 and then the bus will come at around 08:40. Secondly, once boarded you will get to know that the cable car is not operational , no prior notice or communication . Third, they will not give you refund that your deserve and they never gave you breakup of cost and now on their own discretion will process refund. DON’T BOOK if you value your time and money.

This trip was well worth doing - can’t believe I’ve been to Tenerife so many times before and not done it. Coach pick-up from hotel and then you go on an amazing drive up in the hills until you reach the cable car base station, stopping for a coffee/snack on the way. The views are awesome and you really can’t believe how high up you go until you are above the clouds! You are packed in on the cable car - only 2 seats available - but it only takes 8 minutes to top. There is a viewing platform and you can take a couple of different walkways to other viewing points, but beware this is across volcanic rock so is not flat and some rocks move so good sturdy walking shoes are essential. The air is thinner up there so you may not have the energy to walk far if you have breathing problems but can still view from the cable car station. There is a loo at the top but nothing else, the cafe is at the bottom after you get off cable car. If you want to climb to the crater edge you have to apply for a permit at least 3 months in advance, but it is a steep climb. A thoroughly enjoyable experience.

Reuben & Julian took us on the most beautiful tour of Mount Teide National Park. The tour was interesting, informative & the guide had a great sense of humour. It was too windy & icy for the cable car, but still absolutely loved our day. Photos will never do this beautiful place justice. Highly recommend this tour & will this company

Ava our Driver, and Julien our guide were excellent and personable. They always made sure we were all good during the tour. Also, Julien provided lots of information on Mt Teide and the park.

The complete trip was very well done. The pick up place was clear and easy to get to. The coach was on time and the tour Guide Maxim was very well spoken and provided great information. The day was picture perfect so the Cable Car ride was spectacular.

Fantastic views from top of Teide. Cable Car booked via tour and all good but as others have stated the pickups are crazy. Over an hour and a half winding thru southern Tenerife doing pickups. I would advise going for a small group private tour. It only takes 1 hour to get to Teide but via this tour 3 hours almost!! Too many little breaks that last 30 mins half way there and back.

The tour guide (Benjamin) and the driver were fab. Even though the cable car was closed due to wind, they took us to see Teide from other positions and made other stops for photos etc. It was a very enjoyable and informative day.

Advised on booking tour not to purchase a cable car ticket, even though the cable car element was important to us. The reason - if the cable car wasn't running there is no refund of ticket cost. Told to check on line on the day and buy the ticket if the cable car was running. This sounded reasonable however, on the day we found that most people HAD purchased the cable car tickets in advance and there were NO tickets available to go up in the cable car at the times when tour coaches and mini bus tours arrived to use the cable car - this was between 12.00 and 13.50 when the tour companies appear to have block booked the tickets. The tours appear to have staggered drop off and pick up slots during this time, they allow an hour to ascend and return, then pick up and leave, so it isn't possible to book either earlier (as you won't arrive on time) or later (as the coach will leave without you). We were extremely disappointed and angry at the erroneous advice given. If going up in the cable car to the highest point possible is important to you, we strongly suggest booking the tickets when you book the tour to avoid disappointment, of course you do risk losing your money if the weather is bad, you can minimise this risk by booking directly with the tour company who may refund, or with the national park on their official website, with the plus bus service. Best of luck everyone!

A tour bus picked us up from our hotel in Golf del Sur, did many other pickups from other southern resorts and then somewhere around Costa Adeje we started driving up the mountain. The views were amazing all along the trip. There was a stop on the way to get breakfast. I wish our guide had told us about the local pine trees before that stop, so we could have had a closer look at them. Unfortunately we couldn't see any pine trees up close after we learned about their special features. Our guide Adrian was really good, he told interesting stories, made some jokes and overall made everyone feel good. Even after visiting the volcano when some people were half an hour late to the bus, he managed to keep our spirits up. Just keep in mind, this is not a tour around Teide national park (like Viator agent made us understand). You see some of the park, as you drive to the cable car station but the stops are brief and you mostly hear about what else this park has to offer. Also a Viator agent said that if we chose a northern Tenerife tour, we would start ascending to the volcano from the north, even though we stayed in the south. This of course was not true because why would we travel all the way to the other side of the island when all the guests came from southern resorts. But there is no critque to the tour itself, definitely go if you want to go almost to the top of the volcano! (Just keep in mind that it's a little bit difficult to breathe up there.)

received from the tour operator the departure time at the pick-up point of 7:30 am. the bus came at 8:15. and no notification that they are 45 minutes late. I also tried to contact to ask where the bus is staying or if it is coming at all, without getting an answer. luckily we waited as there were other people coming on the same trip at the pick-up point. not such a good start to the trip, when the small children are quite impatient to wait. a few people also talked about feeling unwell during the trip, whether the cause was the bad air conditioning of the bus or the winding road or the driver's driving style (two positions on the gas, off or at the bottom). The guide was professional, told interesting information about the places all the way, and the scenery itself was wonderful.

The tour itself is good, but the website is too confusing. I thought I had booked tickets to include the cable car ticket… but apparently I had selected the wrong thing. So we sat for 2 hours at the base station waiting for everyone who got to go up on the cable cars. We tried booking with the tour operator as we got on the bus in the morning, but they weren’t able to get us on. Felt like a wasted trip.

Advised bus pick up at 8.15. Waited from 8am. No bus. Turned out the bus was 7.50 and no one bothered to inform us. Refund refused. This trip was booked through get your guide who also refused refund. Ripped off for 150.00. This company claims get your guide sent them wrong contact details. Get ur guide claims they are lying. Who knows but 150.00 is a lot to loose through incompetence. My advice would be AVOID.
