Having previously enjoyed a food and drink tour elsewhere and with it being our first visit to Málaga, we thought this tour would be a good way of not only trying some of what the city had to offer but finding out where might be good for eating and drinking during the rest of our stay. Elise was a great guide, very friendly and knowledgeable, who took us from the Ataranzas Food Market to El Almacén del Indiano, then Terraza de las Flores and finally, Restaurante Chinitas. It was interesting to learn not only about local food and customs but also something of the city's history and architectural influences. Food and drink were plentiful and very good, especially the Boquerones Fritos and Ensalada Malagueña and we both came away from the tour having had a great time. Elise also recommended where to go for the best coffee in Málaga and for gelato, both of which were followed up and enjoyed! Very much recommended.

Elise was a wonderful guide, very friendly, easy to be around, and offered up interesting history of the area along with the food and drinks at each stop. We felt that it was a nice selection and variety of food/drinks/purveyors throughout, and we most certainly did not leave hingry! A pleasant and delicious way to get to know Málaga a little bit more.

This is our second Tapas Tour and this time our guide was Elise. As well as being friendly and approachable she has an extensive knowledge of the history of Malaga which she explained to us so articulately. We traversed Malaga’s market, streets and alleyways to indulge in delicious tapas, wine, vermouth and sangria. This tour is definitely one to try - you will certainly not be disappointed.

Javi gave a wonderful tour. He was very informative and friendly. We stopped at some good spots for tapas and wine. Definitely worth the time and good value for the price.

This was a great tour! There were only twelve of us and Javi our guide met us on time and introduced himself to each of us personally. Then he proceeded to lead us to the city market where we stopped at several stalls to taste various meats and nuts and wines. He joyfully explained each tasting answering all questions in a light but informative way. We then proceeded to three restaurants where we tasted a variety of different local dishes. We all enjoyed the tour thoroughly and departed full and well informed about the cuisine of Malaga. I give Javi my highest rating since he gave us the best food tasting tour I have ever experienced. I strongly recommend this tour.

Very well informed and enthusiastic guide, gave insight into what it is like to live in Malaga and gave great tips on coffee shops and dishes to try.

My daughter and I joined the food tour in Malaga with Javi. We thoroughly enjoyed our tour. We visited the amazing food market tasting some amazing tapas and very refreshing Tinto de Verano. The market has some incredible fish/seafood on display and the vegetables were amazing too, so colourful. We also tasted lots of delicious olives/figs/tomatoes & salted almonds. Javi was very knowledgeable on food explaining the different types of dishes and which food is the best to buy which is perfect as I visit spain often. We visited 3 further restaurants with lovely wine and typical Spanish dishes which were very tasty. Loved the little salted bacalao shop on the way to the market. We loved Malaga. It has so much to offer. I would highly recommend this tour with Javi. I will be back in June with friends. Sophie & Isabelle

A really excellent way to experience Andalusian culture via food and wine. Our guide, Felipe, was hugely knowledgeable and enthusiastic, and obviously had a warm relationship with the market traders and restaurateurs we visited. All super-efficient and professional. Lovely group too 🇮🇪

Our guide, Javi, did an excellent job highlighting the unique cuisine of Malaga. He carefully explained each food/beverage and provided background information as well. We spent time in the market, a butcher shop and restaurants. One of the restaurants had an amazing view of the cathedral. At the end of the tour, we left with full stomachs and a better understanding of the city of Malaga. Our family would definitely recommend this informative (and delicious!) tour.

Fernando was a most engaging guide and a proper foodie. Lively and colourful market tour followed by a stroll with stops for food and drink. A definite highlight of our stay in Malaga.

Javi was a great guide. He was great at explaining all of the food as well as very engaging to talk to. There were 5 in our family, including one teenager, and we all loved trying new food and drinks. The food was excellent and the variety was outstanding. I’d be hard pressed to pick a favorite food as they were all so good. I’d highly recommend the tour and Javi as the guide.

Excellent food tour, Fernando brought the food, wine and location to life, with his history and knowledge, very good tour. Would have been nice if there was a little sweet food to end the tour.

My wife & I joined Felipe from Spain Food Sherpas, along with several couples / families from USA & Canada - during the 3+hours tour Felipe kept us all safe is a very busy Malaga old Town on a Monday - full out chat, humour & great advice we throughly enjoyed the tour, the wine choices & the food - we would absolutely recommend this tour & Felipe - it was most enjoyable !

This wine and food tour made our short trip to Malaga extra special - it was just brilliant, and excellent value. Philippe our guide was amazing - as a local, he knew all the history and background to both the food and wine and the establishments we visited - which were obviously carefully selected and superb. There were 8 guests on the tour - a perfect number. This tour is to be highly recommended to anyone who loves good food and wine - but be warned, the tour info said 'come hungry' and you certainly need to! Fabulous, thanks Philippe!

Filipe was an amazing tour guide who showed us round the best places to get tapas and food in Malaga. Certainly good value for money as we were stuffed by the end of it, and learned a lot about Malagan history.
