Angel’s passion and knowledge for food, wine and history come to life on this tour. He is entertaining and a top notch guide, taking you to local Tabancos and sharing the rich culture. This tour exceed my expectations. 5 stars

After a slightly delayed meet up with our guide, Yolanda, we had a very informative and enjoyable tour of the tabancos in the historical centre of Jerez. Although we have been to Spain frequently, it was good to learn new facts about the tapas and the production of sherry. Thanks Yolanda!

Our guide was very nice and definitely knowledgeable, but this review is mostly about the tour itself. We only went to three spots all very close to each other which we were pretty sure we would just have encountered ourselves if we’d explored on our own. Additionally, the tapas are cheap (very good thing for those of us on a budget) but the price of the tour was quite high, so it felt like we did not get a fair amount for our money spent. Lastly, the tour was advertised as a food tour but the tapas were the same you’d get anywhere in Andalucía and there was more of an emphasis on alcohol, which was a shame for those in our party who don’t drink. Overall I think we would have preferred just to explore ourselves.

Agatha was a super host, lots of local knowledge. We enjoyed the tapas, the Sherry & finished in a bar with a Flamenco show. It was a great fun night.

Marta was a great guide. Super knowledgable and a lot of fun! We got to try all sorts of sherries and some unique snacks we wouldn’t have thought to order on our own!

Great tour today with Almu. Only 2 of us booked in which was probably due to rain..despite this we had a great time.. lovely to see the back streets of Jerez and the bars you wouldn’t think to go in

A very informative tour. Charo was an excellent guide and her selection of venues was first class - even revisited one of the venues a couple of days later to enjoy a flamenco show. Would highly recommend this tour / guide.

It was a very small group tour and we learnt a lot about sherry. The guide was very knowledgeable and friendly and spoke great English. We enjoyed visiting the 3 traditional bars and the samples of tapas and large sherry tasters. Highly recommended.

Guide Marta was focused, explicit, knowledgeable, personable. Proud of her vocation and expertise in sherries and brandies, and the tapas type suitable for each sherry. Enthusiastic, upbeat, organized: was able to adjust quickly to switch tavernas when one was overcrowded. Took us to the Tabanco El Pasaje, which combined all aspects of the sherry-blending she’d been teaching us with superb flamenco in a terrific setting. Caution: Don't drive to this tour. With all the yummy sherry you'll consume, you'll not be able to drive away. We took the train from Cadiz, so no problem.

Delayed without notification! Viator had sent an email after the official/planned start time. Tapas were not like the photos on this promotional example. No walking tour just walked in a very limited location to 3 different bars. No choice given on drinks. No history given by guide! I have written a complaint to Viator and depending on their response, I will decide whether to use this company again for other European trips we have planned over the next few months.

The best tour I had in a while, Marta was very knowledgeable of the Sherries and Tapa and their combinations. We talked about the history of not just the food and wine but also the city too. 5 stars for Marta alone. Best of all it ended with a Flamenco show at our last stop, and I was NOT disappointed. Definitely, read the meeting place is in front the equestrian statue because I went to the address Google Maps gave us and was confused but I got their earlier enough that we figured it out. I had no idea on how complex Sherry's can be and the detailed history on how it came to exist. I would however caution you on the cafe/restaurant staff behind the statue, they try to their fill seats and push expensive items on their customers.

We had an amazing time with Juan, who took us to 3 Tabancos, paired amazing food, and was a fantastic guide! (He actually was a subcontractor with Mi Jerez, but apparently Cadizfornia hired him, but they know the right people!) He ALSO knew the right people to help fix our transportation issues when our shuttle cancelled and just made for a terrific evening. I can't recommend either company highly enough - don't hesitate! Jerez is fantastic, the food was wonderful, and of course, the Sherry will bring us back! Thanks again!

Excellent, fun and engaging tour of Jerez’s Tabancos with Marta. She is a great guide, walks you through the Sherry bars of Jerez teaching you about the history of the city, Sherry and which foods pair best with the different blends. We often strayed off topic, and she was happy to chat about the local area, offering advice and tips on local places to visit. A great few hours spent in great company, with some lovely tasting drinks and food too, thanks Marta !

Our guide was Maria Iniguez and she was wonderful. The tour had a little Sherry with a little tapas. But the guide was the best part. We got lots of information about the history of the area, sherry, and food. And had a lot of laughs. Thoroughly enjoyable 1 1/2 hours
