As some other reviews have mentioned, this lesson was rather basic. It was nice to go into the lesson expecting this. Catalina is a great teacher and was so fun to talk to!

Booking for 2 PM was canceled by vendor at 2 PM (same day). I wasted my afternoon getting there and returning. Even a few hours notice would have helped.

This was an extraordinary experience. Catalina is a great tango teacher, put us at ease immediately, and made us feel so welcome and relaxed. Neither my husband nor I are dancers, but I really wanted to learn to dance the tango. At the end of the beautiful, memorable lesson, we were dancing well enough to continue dancing at home or even in the center of the dance floor of a milonga. Catalina served us wine and empanadas afterwards, and we spent a happy half hour learning more about Argentina from her. What a delightful, amazing experience! Thank you, Catalina, for the lesson , patience, fun attitude, and the videos you took of us! We’d love to come back and see you again😀

Our teacher was very kind and patient with all of us attempting to tango. The space itself was dirty and felt kind of run down. If you're into bohemian, falling-apart space look, then this is for you. It's not without appeal, but do with that what you will. THe "homemade" empanadas were DEFINITELY store bought - complete with store packaging and cold (undercooked) and the wine was your basic bottles you could but in the grocery store yourself. Overall, glad we tried it, but wouldn't recommend. Not worth the money.

Teacher was the best! She also had a lot of information about Buenos Aires. Things to see and things to do. We all were very impressed by her!

This was a brilliant experience. My family and I loved the time we spent with Catalina. She is an excellent teacher who made us so comfortable and taught us some basic tango steps. She is so friendly and personable that she put our nerves at ease straight away. She also took pictures and videos and text them to us so we had the memories to look back on. Drinking wine, sharing empanadas and getting to know each other after was so nice. I would highly recommend this experience!

The tutor was 20 mins late and the lesson didn’t quite come together in the end, for the price we paid it’s a very disappointing experience

We were in BA for 3 days. I did 2 bookings, dates and times were open for booking. The first was canceled 2 days before, after which I did another booking for a different event, with what turned out to be the same person, Catalina Cabana. This one was canceled 4 hours before the event, (reason: ‘because she was outside BA’), so there was no possibility to book something else. We were very disappointed to leave BA without a tango-event because of late cancelations. If you are not able to do the event, block the agenda!

We had so much fun! Catalina is a great teacher. We really enjoyed the empanadas and wine at the end of class, because we got to hangout with Catalina and the other couples. Definitely would recommend!

Cata made intro to tango very simple and serene. She also was a lovely host with wine and empanadas.

This was a great experience! The dance studio was beautiful and wine/food/conversation was excellent. Catalina was super patient teacher haha made the experience fun and very memorable. She is a great teacher with obvious passion for tango. She taught us basics, nothing too complicated, it was easy to grasp. We were even comfortable to go to tango dance the next day and try out our newly acquired skills in public!

We took this class last month while visiting with our two grown daughters. Catalina did a nice job teaching us the tango for the first time, and we enjoyed the hour. I think we would have preferred it to have been a bit less casual, focusing less on the "feel" of the tango and more on how to dance the tango beyond the eight steps. However, and the reason for the rating, is that the second hour was not a wine tasting as one would expect based on the description, but rather a pleasant informal chat with a bottle of wine and empanadas, but that was disappointing as we thought we would be sampling more than one wine, with some commentary.

Yesterday evening, my parents and I attended this tango lesson, empanadas and wine tasting with our lovely host Cata. We had just come on an 11 hour journey from the states and were super jet lagged. We were surprised to find out that we were going to be a smaller group and the only attendees of the dance lesson. It was perfect—almost like a private dance lesson! Cata was extremely personable and easy-going. She made us very comfortable. The studio is in a cultural center. You have to go up a number of stairs. At first the room was quite warm but slowly cooled off. The empanadas were warm and delicious and the wine was strong and tasty. We really appreciated the small intimate setting for Cata to teach us the tango basics and also learn more about the local heritage, culture and history of the great city of Buenos Aires. I would advise bringing some bottled water—especially if in the January-March months. Overall, a personable, fun, friendly and very memorable time had. We will remember this for a very long time!

Catalina was phenomenal! She gave us wine and empanadas, got everyone dancing and made it easy and fun. She is a superb teacher. She was also very knowledgeable about Argentina history and current events. This was the highlight of our trip to Buenos Aires!

This was really fun! We learned the basics of tango in a cute little studio. Don’t overthink your clothes and shoes. Tennis shoes and street clothes are just fine. The wine tasting was really sharing a glass of wine with the other students and the teachers so it was fun to get to know people from other parts of the world.

Catarina was a very good teacher, really took the time to go through the basics and seperate the myths of the tango shows and other facets of popular culture from the reality. After the lesson we also enjoyed the discussion about Buenos Aires and Argentina, and the various tips she gave us.

My husband and I had a great emotional, fisical, and sexual experience . The teacher Cata, was patience and kind. We recommend

Dance lesson with Catalina was a great experience for me any my wife on her birthday. Also was very nice afterwards to chat over some wine and fantastic empanadas!
