Unfortunately we were not able to see the Tamul waterfall, which dried up from low rainfall about a month earlier than usual :( Of course this situation is out of the the company's control, but we booked the tour 10 days in advance, and we were not informed of the situation until the day before the tour, when we had already driven all the way to Ciudad Valles from CDMX. If we were given more notice, perhaps we would have chosen a different tour or a different vacation altogether. In addition, our tour guide was not very personable or friendly, and remained silent for most of the tour. For the first 30 minutes, he gave us some facts about the area, but then he told us that we should ask questions for the remainder of the few hours because he had nothing else planned to say. He even insulted our friends with some of the things he said– just not very friendly or nice at all. Overall, I would not recommend this tour.

The waterfall was gorgeouse, and having a smaller group enhanced the experience. It was deffinently one of my favorite travel moments.

Las comidas estuvieron riquísimas en todos los lugares que nos llevaron a comer. Todos los parajes son hermosos, increíbles, difícil elegir a cual ir, así que si puedes ve a todos!!!! Our experience was excellent. We did 4 of the tours and the guides were always on time, attentive, professional and fun. All the places where we had lunch the food was delicious, authentic Mexican. All the places are absolutely beautiful, it’s hard to choose, so if you can, just do them all!!!

Absolutely amazing experience. Our guides were so much fun and had so much energy. The hard work or rowing was well worth it once you reached the beautiful Tamul waterfall. Our guides made sure we got the best pictures.

The best tour I have ever taken, I really enjoyed the time with my guides Juan Daniel, Ricardo, Pablo and Charlie, all of them really took care of me and my family. I wish I could rate the experience greater than 5/5. I started planning this trip several months ago and since the beginning I have had help from the English translator every step of the way from booking the hotel, tours, airport pick/drop off, and even covid test to return home. The convenience and safety of being picked up at your hotel and dropped back off at the end of the day is unparalleled. I cannot finish this review without mentioning the great experience between our driver Misra and Juan Daniel. They are the perfect duo and on each trip they made us feel like family. My wife who doesn’t speak much Spanish also loved those two because they made every effort to communicate with her and keep her included. We could not ask for a better honeymoon. We had a blast and plan to come back soon with even more family. JL

Had a great trip to Tamul Falls with Huaxteca, logistics were impecable, guides were friendly, dedicated and professional. We arrived early and had the entire waterfall viewing site for ourselves, took all the time we wanted to enjoy. The cave was also fun and very relaxing. Then headed back to a restaurant for lunch where I ate a fried river fish that was delicious. Arrived back to Ciudad Valles safely. Tomorrow I am going rafting with Huaxtera again, and will visit Xilitza the day after. So you can have an idea why I am recommending them.

My mom and I did a tour with Huaxteca.com to the Tamul Waterfall and Water Cave on a wooden canoe and it was awesome! The tour guides are great. Kenya was super cool and made the whole ride fun and inclusive, she had us singing, and rowing as a team. I highly recommend the packages that Huaxteca.com offers, they are very friendly and attentive to the needs of each of their travelers. We trulr enjoy our trip and had lots of fun with them.

The canoe ride up to Tamul was such a fun and exciting experience. The company picked us up at our hotel and provided all necessary items to take the tour including snacks and lunch! Karla was our tour guide and explained everything we needed to know about our day, the area and of course Tamul. Getting up to Tamul is a team effort since you have to row your way in a wooden canoe. This made the tour that much more special, plus we made lots of friends along the way. The waterfall was spectacular, I was speechless! Definitely something you want to tick off your bucket list. I would definitely recommend this tour company and taking the time to tour Tamul!!

We took the 4 day and 3 nights, went to different tour everyday, had the opportunity to swim very close to the magnificent waterfalls of Tamul, Micos, Minas viejas, Puente de Dios and Tamasopo falls. Our guides Kenya, Cosmo and Adan are very helpful, patient and very fun! I will recommend this tour to friends and family!!!

We did a 5 day adventure tour and the whole experience was amazing! From the wonderful views to the knowledge and help from the guides, they’re super sweet and guide you perfectly through the whole experience ☀️

Tamul was a beautiful place. Our trip with the huaxteca.com was excellent, transportation was clean, canoe trip was super fun, and food was delicious. Our driver and guide were taking care of us all the time. We would like to go back to San Luis Potosí and book again more trips.

My brother, friend, and I did the one day waterfall and water cave on a wooden canoe. We were picked up at our Airbnb and scheduling that was very easy through WhatsApp. We were then driven in a van with 6 other tourist to their campgrounds where we changed and set on our way to the river. We were each given an oar and life jacket. They were nice enough to keep our stuff on their van (suitcases and all). We rowed down the river and stopped once to walk when the rapids got heavier and then once more for pictures near the waterfall. It was a pretty waterfall and all, but overly not that impressed. We then rowed back to the water cave where we got a snack bar and got a chance to swim. Finally they took us for lunch and it was delicious. They drove us back to the bus stop and on the way stopped to get sugar cane juice. They dropped us off very quick and conveniently. Overall, Antonio and Denise, our tour guides were absolutely wonderful. Antonio translated everything after saying it in Spanish and answered any questions we had. Lunch was buffet style and very good. They even helped accommodate us when we were annoying and asked them to get the life jackets back down when they packed them up on the roof. Would definitely recommend this tour to anyone healthy enough to do a little climbing up rocks and jumping into the water cave. We also didn’t want to take our phones on the canoe, so they told us they can take pictures and buy them for a very good price! Would recommend if worried about getting phone ruined.

Me and my girlfriend did two tours with Huaxteca, Tamul Waterfall and Ziplining/Skybike over Micos. Both experiences were amazing. For Tamul we canoed our way up a crazy colored river and had fun along the way, splashing other canoes around and even jumping in the water and going down some small rapids. On the second day we ziplined over some small waterfalls and also biked our way above, which was a crazy unique experience. Overall, incredibly happy with our time there. Get ready for a super friendly staff, great food stops, and lots of fun in a beautiful region of Mexico.

This was such an amazing experience I would recommend Anyone to do this activity. The views alone are so worth it!!. The tour guides were very friendly and professional.

One of the most challenging and fun trips we have ever done. Beautiful locations, heaven on earth! Rappelling was very challenging but the Huaxteca team were very experienced and gave us confidence. Most recommended with no doubt. Thank you to Arthuro, Paco and Saraye and others that I cannot remember their names, for letting us feel welcome and safe.

My boyfriend and I really wanted to explore la Huasteca Potosina in a short amount of time and Huaxteca tours helped achieve just that. Our tour guides Paco and Enrique were amazing - personable, funny, and knowledgable. For someone who really doesn't like to plan while on vacations, our tour guides took care of everything - helping coordinate pick up, snacks, meals, safety measures and general entertainment.

I did the 4 day Eco Tourist Soft Adventure tour and it was magical! The guides were so friendly, organised, informed and fun! The times of the tours were perfect We saw and did the most magical things from Xilitla Garden to the Cave of Swallows to canoeing and swimming in the most idyllic blue waters including a 1000 year old cave. The waterfalls were stunning. We jumped from high points into the water for a bit of adrenaline (optional). I was in heaven! This is where real Mexicans go on holiday and it was gorgeous! Yet even if you don’t speak Spanish/ Mexican they make you feel so welcome. I would highly recommend!!!!
