The driver was very friendly and knowledgeable about Catania. He dropped us off at each location and gave us a map. I couldn't read the map and really don't know much about what we saw.

Our guide was wonderful... patient, knowledgeable, and fluent in English. His driving was also great. We especially loved visiting the Greek and Roman amphitheaters in Syracuse, the "white island" of Ortygia, and Noto Cathedral.

Excellent tour, but microphone needed in van. Backseat passengers can’t hear driver/guide commentary. Xxxxxxxxxxxx

This was a great tour, I enjoyed not being herded around. We were given plenty of time in each place, to find our own way and see what we wanted to see. The lunch was great with plenty of choices. Thoroughly enjoyed my day. Thank you.

We really enjoyed Siracusa and Ortygia ,could spend a few days there. Are driver spoke good English and was a real gentleman and very accommodating. We were not crazy about Noto , it was a very clean city and beautiful buildings, not much shelter from the sun and and unless you are into seating multiple churches it’s on the boring side

Three interesting spots in Sicily. Everybody had a different favourite. The guide knew tons about the history of each location, and the local culture. She was able to answer all of our questions, even some obscure ones.

Our driver was about an hour late and cited bad traffic and other participants were late themselves. The entire tour was very rushed and we actually got back before 5pm (which was bad considering we started late) In the first stop, we had about an hour to visit the Neapolis which was way too long (considering how little time we had in other places) and we had 20 mins subsequently in Noto and Ortigia which were beautiful but unfortunately couldn't explore. All in all you have about 70 mins to visit these 3 places and the rest you're in the car. Lunch was not great and I wished we were given options to opt out of lunch to find our own food/spend more time in these charming towns instead of driving 15-20min outside of these places for sub par food. We were also rushed for our lunch and only had 20 mins to eat. Our tour guide Dario gave us more information on the rocks and plants than the history of this magical place unfortunately. I've been on many Viator trips and this is by far the worst one.

Iorga was very prompt at pick up which alleviated any anxiety at start of day. He did a good job with his English, he was very passionate and knowledgeable about Ortigia and Noto and provided great insight and information. Syracusa we toured without a guide. Iorga was very hospitable and welcoming- he provided a delightful lunch of a potato pizza he called “Scotchciatta” it was like a calzone, he also provided a delightful wine and cold water for us. The only thing I would have appreciated would be to somehow shorten this day - he did have to translate in 2 different languages- but I am not sure how much time that added to our tour. We had a pick up at 08:40 and did not return home until nearly 19:30. It was a bit long to maintain interest. He should also provide more opportunity for using restrooms and in a nearly 11 hr day perhaps an opportunity for a refreshment after lunch. So this may be counterintuitive to shortening the day but perhaps eliminating one stop and adding these opportunities for refreshments and using bathrooms would be helpful.

What a wonderful day! The morning to the Greek theater was exceptional! The trip to original was full of surprises and lunch in the open market was one of our best dining experiences and that is saying something. One Guide Salvo was knowledgeable, extremely professional and i would definitely seek him out my next time in Sicily!

Dario was a fantastic guide! We originally booked the tour as a small group and it ended up just being my husband and I with Dario. So we got a private tour! Dario really had an appreciation for the places we were visiting because he was local to the area. He gave us thorough explanations about the sites as well as an environmental perspective due to his background in environmental science. He was always happy to offer to take pictures for us and give us free time at certain points as well. The tour itself covered a lot of ground! We got a chance to see ruins, ocean and charming "old Sicily" in just a day. Was very nice to have lunch provided and brought as a picnic so we could take more time to see the sites! Customer service from the tour company itself was wonderful. Easy to communicate with them and quick response time.

The trip we booked as a trip for a small group but in the morning we realized that it will be our personal private tour what was even better than we expected. Gioele, our driver and guide, was very very very knowledgeable, polite and friendly. He gave us a lot of information about Sicilian history, about all places we visited and made to us a great company. We enjoyed also small lunch with the regional wine. Everything was perfect and we really admire Gioele´s knowledge of history and also his fluent English.

Our guide Gioele, who liked to be called Joe was friendly and extremely knowledgeable. The day was well paced and arrangements for the day were made very clear to us. We saw parts of Syracuse/ortygia which we would never have seen if we had gone alone. The archeological park was worth a visit and the written information supplied was useful. The buildings of Noto are amazing. A tour not to be missed

Wonderful experience. Our guide was amazing and had a lot of knowledge about history. Lunch was customised based on our preference that was mainly panini and Catania red wine sourced from Etna. We saw churches, local markets, sea, churches, temple ruins.

We couldn't make this trip because of Covid-19 lockdowns but the Customer Service provided by Sicily Day by Day and Tripadvisor was first class. Big pity we couldn't go but I wouldn't hesitate to use both Sicily Day by Day and Tripadvisor in the future.

We usually don’t opt for full-day tours such as this, and we are so glad we did. Our guide, Antonio, picked us up promptly and after picking up the third pair of tourists, we were on our way to Noto. En route, he gave us background on what we’d see there, as he also did before our stops at the ancient sites in Siracusa and in Ortigia. Some of the time he guided us, pointing out details we never saw in our guidebooks. We had some free time at each stop, which was great to take in what we wanted to at our own pace. Our lunch was delicious too...sandwiches and wine. Antonio was clear about where and when to meet him at each stop. He is very knowledgeable about food, wine and the culture of the area. As a bonus, our fellow passengers were very warm and interesting, so we also got a chance to share the experience with people from Spain and Germany. We can confidently recommend this tour to those who are visiting Catania and want to spend a day visiting Siracusa and Noto.

It was only my wife and I on the tour with Francesco, even though the van holds 9. We got off to a shaky start as we were emailed a start time of 8:30 but when I called at almost 9:00, because no one had shown up at the meet point,I was told it's an 9:10 start and that there was a miscommunication. Francesco quickly made up for this by giving us so much historical background and interesting information on the places we visited. His English is excellent too, so it was easy to understand him. The 3 areas we visited were each unique and from different ages even though they were relatively close to each other. The lunch with wine that was included was a nice surprise with delicious foods to choose from and dessert even. I would definitely reccomend the tour and Francesco but recommend that you confirm pick up time the day before or that morning.

We joined this tour with 2 other tourists and our family of 5, making a total of 7 in a mini-van. Guide was Antonio, a very friendly and knowledgeable guide. As he was not a licensed guide for those attractions, he basically briefed us and provided walking maps when we enter the attractions. Although the journey was fairly long and covered 3 locations, we felt the small group made the tour a lot more personalized. Nevertheless, it was still a rush like other group tours, we were given an hour or so to roam freely at each destination. Antonio also gave us tips on popular eating places in Catania at the end of the tour. We much preferred this type of tour to those big 50-person tours we joined in Rome where the accompanying guide basically did nothing more than being a chaperone. Thumbs up!
