The instructors were great and took time with everyone individually. Afterwards I felt confident enough in my surfing ability to go again myself.

Watching my youngest catch his first wave, the awesome tips and tricks to make paddling easier and how helpful, patient and fun the instructor was (Keegan, and I’m so sorry if I butchered his name!)

10/10 On a sister trip in early June, Stoke Dispensary went above and beyond to make sure we had a good time - despite the less than ideal weather and waves. Our instructor Keagan was kind and very informative. We had a great time and laughed so hard. Thank you for teaching a couple Midwestern sisters how to catch a wave! We’ll be back!

Definitely recommend this for anyone new to surfing. My husband and I brought our three teenage boys and we had such a great time! I recommend a wet suite because I am the only one who wore one and I didn't end up with a rash from the surfboard. Also it helps as a buffer against the cold water 🥰

Both of my kids age 12 and 15 did a surf lesson and it was amazing. They got up right away with the instructor's help and we're absolutely thrilled with their experience.

We both have never surfed before, and now we LOVE it!! The instructors helped us SO much!! They were awesome guys!!

Stone was great to work with! I never thought I would be able to stand up on a board, but Stone gave us great instructions and both my husband and I were able to catch a few waves. Definitely worth the money. It was our favorite activity we did in OBX and are now talking about getting our own surfboard 🏄

Experience wasn’t the best, the water was very rough and we were not warned ahead of time. We had a younger child I. Our group and with only one instructor it was not safe for her to be in the water. We were given a brief lesson and then basically said good luck, unlike other places we have been that help you get into the waves.

We had a very good time and our surf instructor was very patient and helpful! Definitely would recommend.

My teen and preteen daughters had a surf lesson with Stone. They were beginners, but they each caught a number of waves. They were thrilled with their experience. They did a little bit of instruction on the sand before going out, but they got to spend the majority of their time in the water. Their teacher rotated between the students, giving each one tips and pointers throughout the lesson. We will definitely book again on our next trip out here.

Instructors were great and all 8 in our party had a blast! Ages from 8 to 42 and all were actually surfing within minutes.

I’d been before, but wanted some refreshers for my daughter and me. Super chill, great vibe, hands on, provided just the instruction we needed. Let us borrow boards for after lesson surfing. Herman is your man is you want some introductory lessons for your family. Basically everyone in his classes got up at least once.

My son and our family loved this experience. We learned a lot and our instructors were fantastic! Highly recommend!

My husband and two daughters had such a great experience during their surf lesson! All three were able to get up. Stephen and Henry did a great job teaching the basics and also positioning their boards so they could get the feel for when/how to surf. Henry entertained my family with facts about sea life as he waited with them for a wave to come. It was one of our favorite activities this week! One suggestion, especially if you get Stephen or Henry (who were so great!), you will want to tip them. You could be more prepared than we were and bring cash. (venmo also works)

The kids said the instructors were very helpful. All the kids had a great time. Only criticisms would be having to go to the business prior to the beach to sign wavers and parking at the beach was tricky. Despite the criticisms they were minor and wouldn't deter me from scheduling again.

My two daughters and I had an absolute blast! The instructors helped my 9 and 12 year old girls the entire time. Highly recommend this company. We had the best time!

My family had a great time and all were able to accurately a wave or two. Water was very cold! Instructors were great. Only complaint I have is that it’s not communicated that you are meeting at a specific location - where ever there’s waves. Call ahead to find out where that may be so you aren’t late. Also plan ahead as parking is limited at beach access.

I took two 13 year old's and two 15 year old's to surf lessons in Duck, NC. They had the best time! The instructors were very upbeat, patient, and attentive. They perfected the kids formed and worked with them on their timing. All the kids were able to get up and catch some waves. We took two lessons and it was perfect! My only recommendation would be to have more signage at the road to signal where we are to take the kids. Since we were not staying at the Sanderling Resort, it felt a little weird to walk through their lobby to the kiosk at the back of the hotel.

I purchased a private surf lesson for my son. The instructir, Keegan, was excellent and patient, and took time to explain things. It was a memorable experience.

Absolutely loved the experience! Liam was really patient and helped me catch waves within only minutes into the lesson. Truly never thought I could surf but the instruction I had made it possible. Highly recommend this lesson to anyone interested in getting started surfing!
