We had some lessons with E. He was absolutely fantastic and really knew his stuff. He helped us out alot getting the most out our lessons, I would definitely have lessons with him again.

I had four amazing surf lessons with Martha and Jack! Both of them made me feel totally confident as an absolute beginner, I made good progress and am looking forward to my next surfing vacation!

My partner and I visit Quiksilver Surf School Newquay a few times a year on our trips to Newquay, both for lessons and to rent boards. This time our lessons were with Jack, who was absolutely brilliant - he tailored the sessions right to our level and helped improve on specific aspects we wanted to work on. I also appreciated being able to try different boards, including having a go on a longboard (first time for me not using a foamie). Jack is also a really nice guy, super friendly and fun to chat to, so we enjoyed some fun lessons in beautiful weather. In addition to the great lessons, the equipment was in very good shape (as every time we’ve visited before) and the woman working in the shop (I think her name is Megan) is lovely too.

We were a few art of a mixed ability group. Bertie was informative, fun and helpful. We had a fantastic experience and appreciated Bertie's expertise and pushes!!!!

A massive thank you to the Quiksilver team. My girlfriend and I had the best time with our instructor, Jack. He helped us out so much in taking our first steps in surfing and has sparked a new hobby for us both. Jack was dead friendly, very kindly-natured, and someone we both now call a friend. I couldn't recommend it enough!!!

Fantastic! Brilliant guys here Jack was our instructor and was really great with us - knew his stuff and was able to correct me when I couldn’t work out what I was doing wrong- couple of minor adjustments and I got my first time standing !! - team at the school are all ace too inc Megan in shop who was really helpful and great with us too !! Top guys and a great recommendation

Total novice and Jack the instructor was great. Very patient with 42 year old knacker that had never even been in a wetsuit. He took the time explain all the safety aspects and dos and don’ts before getting in the water. The wetsuits were much warmer than I anticipated and crucially for me being 6’8 they had something in that would fit and had gloves, shoes and… erm… balaclava thing to help me stay toasty. I would definitely do it again. I barely managed to get standing on the board (it was a big old girl and the water was fairly choppy) but managed to stay upright for a few seconds before going A over T. Thanks again Jack. I will give it another go next time m down here!

Great 2 days of surfing with E as our instructor. The kids throughly enjoyed themselves and I was impressed that they were kitted out in boots, gloves and hats also given the water temperature.

Fantastic beginners surf lesson today . E was a great instructor, very knowledgeable and a great guy . Me and my family loved every minute of the lesson . Such a great experience making memories

Booked two 16 year olds on the beginners lesson with Jack. They had an amazing time even in the wind and rain. Both came back buzzing. All equipment was great and staff super friendly and great. They loved it so much we have booked another lesson later in the week.

Absolutely brilliant, everyone is so friendly, my instructor was amazing, the lesson was so much fun and I actually stood up and rode a wave!!! Totally stoked as us surfers say!!! Thanks again to everyone x

This was our sons, 9 and 8, first lesson. The instructor, E, was amazing with them. He gave them additional attention while my husband and I were able to have an independent go in the deeper water. The boys really enjoyed the session, “my favourite summer sport!” We would recommend a family session for any families that are active as there is plenty of time for individual progress as well as watching the children attempt to stand on the board too. The warm showers after the session were welcomed too! Would definitely return.

What a surfing introduction lesson my kids had, thanks Jack. Kids never surfed before, today was their first time, Jack made the experience memorable for them. We will be back in summer definitely.

We had the best time! I never thought I’d be able to actually balance on a surfboard but the instructor was incredible, and after a couple nose dives he helped me get it! 100% recommend, i’m now determined to be a surfer chick.

My son loved the lessons! Am now being pestered to buy a board... Gone from first time surfer to addict in 3 sessions!

I signed up for the improver session to help me with my turning and wave selection. There were two others in the class and we had Bertie as our instructor for the session. Bertie went through a brief water safety discussion , then went over some tipsfor perfecting our for pop up’s. Once we got into the water Bertie helped me to select a wave, upon catching each one he would ask me what I thought worked and what could be improved. I was trying out a smaller board 7ft board and was feeling a bit wobbly during my pop up’s. Bertie advised that I took more time to assess and make adjustments for the wave each time. This did the trick and I surfing for most of the session! I would highly recommend Quick Silver and Bertie was a fantastic instructor.

From start to finish I can only highly recommend Quiksilver Surf School. Booking in advance before our holiday was really easy and clear instructions were provided of where we needed to be and when etc. Arriving at the surf school for our lesson we met our instructors Joe and Kyle. Two amazing dudes, really friendly, really helpful and highly enthusiastic. With an age range of 6-50, the lesson was pitched at the right level for us all to understand and above all fun. Joe and Kyle were amazing, looking after the youngest members of our family. As their Mum this put me at ease so I could concentrate on learning as much I could too. As you can tell all 7 members of our party throughly enjoyed our experience and yes we highly recommend Quiksilver and yes we will return. Keep up the great work 👍
