Martin was by far everything you could ask for in a guide. Started by picking us up right from our AirBNB, had great conversation on the drive north to the beach with great music in the truck, then provided two excellent instructors for our 4 person group. Enjoyed lunches, snacks, and waters/gatorades provided by him while sitting on the beach with everything you could need. Great way to wrap up an amazing day on the waves. Later that evening we had personal photos of the day done by Martin himself. Couldn’t say anything but amazing things about this company!

have beeen with martin twice on two different trips. The first trip was fine but just so you know surf expeditions are WITH OTHER PEOPLE. It's not a private tour which is isn't too bad in theory but you and 3 other random people all have to agree on a surf spot which kinda sucks. You may pull up to a spot you wanna surf but if the other people in the group don't like it, you all have to leave. The second trip I went on with Martin was dec 30. Bit of background. I would say I'm pretty good average surfer. I Surf in LA in malibu and Topagna & OC. I usually can handle waves up to like 5-6 feet id say at the max. I saw on surfline that a massive swell was hitting Mexico on the pacific side which was going to be 10 feet! Way to big for me. Honestly pretty dangerous if you aren't a pro. After I saw this online the night before I said hey lets go to the east cape, its going to be small 2-3 Feet but i'd rather surf that than like double overhead waves. He agreed with me that night. BUT, the next morning he picks me up and says "hey we are going on the pacific side" I said wait that wasn't the plan. He then said "the east cape is going to be flat" which IS TRUE EXCEPT, one spot was going to work according to surfline. I was ready to take the risk of doing the drive but he wasn't which I didn't like. I was the customer and It should be my choice. I understand he is the local but to be honest you don't have to be a local to find waves. I've done surf trips in oaxana, punta mita, Sri Lanka, Bali, And Brazil. All with out a guide just checking surfing line at it has never failed I didn't think it would fail this time. After martin refused to drive me to Nine Palms on the east came he said "lets go to cerritos, look at the camera its not too big." when we looked at the camera it was in between sets so it looked flat for the 5 mins we looked but I knew it was just a lul in the set. I said ok I don't think your right, but ok lets go. We show up and exactly surfline said and what I read was correct. Easily 10-12 foot sets with like 8 feet in between. Argued with Martin for a bit when I said I told you this would happen. He said he wouldn't charge me for the trip which was a nice think to do wich is the only reason I'm giving him 2 stars vs 1. So I ended up getting a cab back to cabo as Martin couldn't leave as he was giving people lessons that day. Felt like a little bait and switch honestly. Hes a bit of a husstler and just wants to make a quick buck by booking multiple groups at once.

We had the best time with Juan and the other instructors during our half day lesson! They took care of everything from chair/umbrella set up on the beach, to snacks, to getting us all standing up on the waves! They were all so nice and helpful, truly can't recommend Cabo Surf Tours more. The pictures turned out great as well--the best souvenir of such a fun day!! Hope to be back soon to take another lesson with them.

Martin is the best!! Had a lot of fun and his set up is perfect. Super kind and knows the area very well. Looking forward to surfing or diving again with Martin.

I was looking for a place to surf that wasn't crowded or full of tourists and Martín and his colleague delivered! They picked me up from the hotel in Cabo San Jose and we drove us to a secluded beach for some nice rolling 2-3 footers. All to ourselves in the afternoon!! They brought fresh juice and snacks, and it was extremely chill. Higly recommend a bucket of sunscreen, and surfing with longsleeves or leggings. I appreciated all their tips and the cool photos afterwards was the perfect touch. I would definitely hit them up for a day excursion that takes you through the deserts and beautiful beaches of the east cape.

Martin and his team were awesome! I went with 5 buddies all 50 this year and we were out there to finally surf like we had always talked about as kids growing up skating in Texas. And it was great, Martin took a little bit of time talking us through the basics and then we were out in the waves! Martin and his team made sure we knew what we needed to do and gave us pointers on all rides for improvements. All of the guys in our group were able to get up and ride waves into the beach and we were having the time of our life riding, until my buddy dislocated his shoulder. (Nobodies fault, my buddy just has janky joints.) And Martin and his team, and many of the locals all stepped up to try and assist my buddy, eventually the paramedics arrived and were able to get it put back into place, and we were good to go. And Martin and his team took great care of us, with fruit, sandwiches, and drinks... Martin and his team. are the real deal, and totally what you would want and expect your surf instructor to be. He was born of the water and lives it out everyday, and it shows. If you get to spend a day with Martin and his crew doing any excursion it is totally worth it. I finish where I started, Martin and his team are AWESOME!

Glad I found out about Cabo Surf Tours. Waves were massive and unrideable behind my hotel. Met a guy at the hotel who told me about Cabo Surf Tours and he had tours lined up for multiple days. I got in contact with Martin who was super easy to work with. First thing the next morning Miguel arrived right at the time they mentioned, and explored multiple different spots until we were happy with the location we wanted to surf. He was very knowledgeable on the area and was just excited for us to be scoring fun waves. He took some awesome photos which is a great bonus to a fun day surfing. Glad I met these guys, will be calling them each year when I come to Cabo. Highly recommend!

We wanted a different experience than the normal surf school and 20 other people. Going up to the Cape was a great experience and had the beach and surf to ourselves. Everything was excellent, great communication, timely pickup at resort. Most importantly Martin was very concerned that we just didn’t have a great time but really was concerned about giving us the best experience from our surf lessons. His instructors were awesome making it easier to learn the sport. Will use again!

Couldn’t have asked for a better experience! Ended up being a private lesson at a stunning remote beach. Highly highly recommend!

My daughter, future son-in-law, and I booked 7 straight days with Martin and his team surfing the East Cape. We couldn’t be more satisfied with our experience. I have taken numerous surf trips over my life time to many exotic locations, and our time with Cabo Surf Tours ranks up there with the best. Martin’s friendly service, aloha spirit, and local knowledge were exceptional. I was also impressed with his encyclopedic knowledge of the local wildlife and sea life (be sure to check out his diving instagram site surf.dive.grow). We scored some great waves in breathtaking scenery and pristine water, and his photographic team was there to capture our entire experience in the ocean. Truly outstanding photos and service. And when exhausted from surfing, it was awesome to come back to our beach chairs, umbrellas, and the best after surf croissant sandwich I have ever had. We made friends with the local dogs, and we had fun feeding our banana peels to the wild donkeys on the beach. So cool. I highly recommend Martin and his team! In summary, I rate our experience as a 10/10. I can’t wait to go back for another trip with Cabo Surf Tours!

This was one of the best days of my life and the highlight of our trip. My wife and I went on the half-day surf tour (I surfed; she hung out at the beautiful beach). Martin and his team were so friendly and helpful. The surf instruction was top notch: each student had a dedicated instructor, whereas other companies had one or two instructors for eight people. I've surfed a number of times but this was by far my best experience. The drive to the beach was beautiful and the beach was picturesque and infinitely nicer than the touristy beach at our hotel. The food and drinks were delicious, the chairs were comfortable, and the umbrellas were shady. The numerous pictures the photographer took and emailed to us were professional quality. This may seem expensive, but when you factor in everything you're getting (transportation each way, a whole support team, a dedicated instructor, drinks and lunch, professional photography etc.), it's an incredible deal. I hope to come back to Cabo just to do this again. I can't recommend taking a surf lesson with Martin and his team enough.

My daughter and I had an amazing day with Gabriela (photographer), Carlos and Tufic (surf instructors). The waves were larger than normal and they helped give us the local knowledge and confidence to navigate the waves safely and have fun.

Juan was an amazing guide who picked us up from our hotel and provided coffee in the morning for the journey to Cerritos beach which I about a 50 minute drive. He made sure I hired the right board for me. He took pictures of me surfing which turned out awesome! He provided lunch for wife and I and also made sure to make a gluten free meal for her as she is celiac. It was a pleasure to meet you my friend and thank you so much for looking after us!

The trip with Martin was an awesome experience. Me and my girlfriend went on a half day trip. We went to surf to east cape and Martin went surfing with my while my girlfriend waited on the beach under a shade. She got to talk a lot with Karen, the surf photographer while I was surfing, so she had a great time as well. Martin took care of everything. He took hot coffee, cold water, a cooler with drinks, fruits and some food. On the water Martin explained where all the rocks where and how to surf safely and effectively on the uncrowded spot we went. There were only 5 people surfing so I got to ride many waves and Karen was able to take some really nice pictures of me surfing. The photos were great so having a professional surf photographer on the trip was amazing and made it totally worth booking this trip. At the end of the trip he gave us a lot of recommendations for our last days in Cabo which we enjoyed. Can't wait to come back to Cabo and book again a couple days with Martin again!

Excellent experience and fun! I was excited to surf Baja since it was a bucket list from my younger days. We traveled south and hit La Fortuna where, even on a “flat day” the surf was better than N Florida. Few people were around and I felt like I had my own private tour (which it was).

Can't recommend enough! we started by one surf expedition, and then kept coming for more. Martin and Lu are the nicest people, and the days we had with them were the most memorable ones on our trip. We'll be back!

If you’re looking for a great surf guide for the East Cape, look no further. Cabo Surf Tours is the real deal! Martin picked me up first thing in the morning and we checked a number of spots. The more famous breaks weren’t working very well and were still on the crowded side. But Martin knew a left hander that doesn’t break often but was absolutely firing. It was working far better than anywhere else we checked, and we surfed it alone all morning. Got some good photos too (not posting—secret spot)! One of the best surf excursions I’ve ever had.

Way better than we expected! Perfect spot to surf and amazing beach to chill for the ladies! The waves were the biggest waves we’ve seen in Cabo! Emi, our guide, was incredible, super nice and knowledgeable 🤙 Highly recommend!
