The East Java Tour with Java Adventure Trail was amazing. The communication before we started and the whole organisation had been great. A big thank you to our guides Yogi and Hamid and also to our driver fendi. They made the trip really special and explained a lot to us. So the trip is really nice and I would recommend everything :) the early wake up times are worth it for what u get to see :)

The four-day tour consisted of three main activities: the Ijen Crater, the Sewak Waterfall, and Mount Bromo. All three activities are very special and definitely worth waking up early for, as well as being patient during the long drives. Fortunately, our guide timed everything perfectly, avoiding rush hours. He also had great knowledge about the places and could answer all our questions. Thanks to our guide, Dani, and the driver, we had nothing to worry about, and the whole tour was very comfortable. Thank you so much!

Had a wonderful tour with our guide Yogi and super driver Faid. Yogi could tell us a lot about the area and why certain rituals were done. I would definitely book a trip with this tour operator again. I would ask for Yogi and Faid! Yogi speaks Dutch well and Faid managed to get us safely through the traffic!

All the views are amazing & well worth the hiking & trekking. The way down to the Ijen crater is a bit adventurous & we appreciate the high attentiveness of our tour guide Rahman to keep our whole group of 3 women safe. He and our driver Bams were so professional and well prepared during this 4 day trip. Rahman was also so kind to care of single detials & took lots of photos for us to keep these good memories.

We had four super special days! Our tour guide Theo always knew exactly when we had to be where to experience the attractions as undisturbed as possible. He guided us down every slope savely and took us to the best photo spots. He could always tell us something worth knowing. Don't visit during peak season........ Today 13/4/2024 we have 1300 jeep....up to the hill Approx 5000 motorbike....also going up to hill Upon going down.....we stuck almost 3 hrs....

We did this tour, based on an recommendation - and we must say: It was stunning! All our expectations have been more than fulfilled. The chosen hotels, the organization, the car - everything was perfect. Especially our driver Bams and our Guide Yogi were a great team, always taking care of us, always let us feel safe and kept us in good company. Bams is an excellent driver, we already miss the skills - Yogi is the best guide you can wish for! We absolutely loved the tour! Our tour guide, Faruq and our driver, Risky were really amazing and friendly. They were professional and respectful too. They gave us a fantastic tour through East Java. We are really glad that we booked the Java Adbenture Trail. We did not have to worry about anything from the pickup at the the airport on the first day until the drop off at the hotel on the last day of the trip. Our tour guide an driver were always punctual too. They took us for local dinner as we wanted to try the local delicacies in East Java. The best part is our guide had so many helpful tips, proper timing to go certain spots, secret spots to avoid the crowd, and he made it easy to cover a lot of great experiences without the noise and overcrowding despite these places getting mostly crowded. Our tour guide took amazing pictures of us too. The hotels were amazing. Besides, we had a pretty flexible schedule and we got to drop by at a few places despite that not being in the itenary. It was a smooth tour overall. We totally recommend it as the tour to east java was undeniably amazing!! Thank you team!

We loved the tour! Our tour guide and driver were really kind and gave us a fantastic tour through East Java. They were at all times concerned about giving us the best experience possible! Even though it would be possible to do these tours on your own, we are happy we booked this tour. Our guide had so many helpful tips, secret spots to avoid the crowds, and they made it easy to cover a lot of great experiences and distance within a few days. From pickup at the hotel until drop off at the next AirBnb we didn’t need to worry about anything. We booked the accommodation budget package. The three home stays were totally different from one another, but all were nice and clean — we can totally recommend it. We remain with a lot of great memories and also nice pictures! Thank u :)

My wife and I recently did the 4 day 3 night tour (Surabaya > Jodipan Colorful Village > Tumpak Sewu Waterfall > Mount Bromo > Mount Ijen > Bali). Fait was our driver and Dino was our tour guide. Overall we were quite happy with the experience. Normally we like to travel independently but what we found was that the attractions in eastern java (basically what’s listed above) are fairly widely separated. In addition some of the public transport connections between them are a little tedious. We felt that if we were to do this independently we would’ve probably spent a lot of time catching public connections and checking into and out of hotels and given the time we had available in Indonesia we felt it would just be logistically easier to do this as a part of a tour. Java adventure trail was very easy to deal with and quite professional. We organised the tour via WhatsApp in a number of hours and made the deposit using PayPal (other options were provided). There were two options available for the tour - the ‘budget’ option which was 5.8 million rupiah per person and the ‘expensive’ option which was 7.7 million rupiah per person. The only thing that differed was the quality of the accomodation. We went with the budget option and were very happy with the accomodation overall so personally I would recommend that to others. We were happy with the driver and guide. Both were very professional and helpful. The tour itself ran smoothly. There was quite a lot of driving and a couple of early starts (0230 and 0100) so be ready for that. The only criticism I would have is that perhaps on the first day (Surabaya via malang) we did start at 1000am and got to a fairly rural village by 230pm. There wasnt much to do at this point so perhaps you could start this day a bit later (on retrospect I would’ve actually travelled from jogyakarta to Surabaya and got them to pick me up from the train station) at maybe midday. Overall a decent tour for a time conscious traveller looking to cover the sites of eastern java.

We had great days with our tour guide Theo. He was very kind, on time and informative (also very good English speaking). The tour was great, we experienced a lot and also the description of the tour and the information in advance was pretty good that we felt well prepared and save all the time. For everyone who’s interested in some adventure, culture and movement it’s a total must. 5/5 stars, would warmly recommend :) Additional plus: We had a lot of fun and laughed a lot!

The tour was amazing 🤩 Everything was well organized. We liked that it was a private tour just for the both of us. Our guide Arie was the best person for this job. We have been on the hot spots always before the other tourists and had as much time as we needed there to explore it by ourselves. He answered all our questions and he and the drivers made our trip as wonderful as it was. He also did a great job doing the perfect pictures for us 😉

Our 4D3N tour started with a trip to Ijen with our guide Faruq and driver Pendik 'Walker'. And then on to THE waterfall. We decided not to climb up Mt Bromo, as the weather was wet and foggy. Cannot see much of the mountain. But we enjoyed the Grassland Savanna of Bromo, while shivering. Faruq was helpful and provided much info on the places. Pendik was good behind the wheel and cheerful despite road conditions. I am very impressed with their attentiveness to details and our requests. Hotel rooms provided were clean and of good quality.

Booked a 4-day, 3-night excursion to Ijen Blue Fire, Crater, Tempuk Sewa Waterfall, and Bromo. Faruq, our guide, and Pendi Walker, our driver, were exceptional. They were consistently punctual and attentive to our needs. Faruq, an experienced hiker, provided valuable advice on attire and essentials. Starting our hikes early to avoid crowds, we also enjoyed stops for durian, tropical fruits, and traditional Indonesian food. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and I highly recommend Faruq and Pendi Walker.

The view was breathtaking and the blue flames were amazing. The whole journey was pleasant and the guides Faruq and driver Pendik ( walker) were super friendly and accommodating, stopping anytime at our request to get local fruits, bringing us to their usual haunts. Faruq was attentive and brought us out early to avoid the tourist crowd, picking out photo spots and waited patiently while we took our pictures. Pendik (walker) was a fast and steady driver, keeping us on schedule and able to sleep soundly every car ride. Accommodations were better than expected and comfortable. Highly recommended trip and Faruq and Pendik definitely made the trip a great experience.

Faruq and Pendik Walker (inside joke here!) is an amazing duo for our 4d3n tour to Tumpak Sewu, Ijen and Mt Bromo. Faruq is an excellent guide at planning our itinerary and ensuring we receive the best experience for the time we spent there. Pendik is also very experienced in driving, ensuring we get to the designated places in time safely. We wanted to try local delights and they did their best to accommodate our requests as best as possible with the local nasi padang visits!
