Wow, this tour is truly an unforgettable experience. Ari met us at our accommodation to answer our questions and give us a goodie bag on the trip. Our fantastic driver Tono took us comfortably and safely from destination to destination for four days. We had such enjoyable rides that it was difficult to say goodbye after four days. We visited the waterfalls under the guidance of tour guide Dadang who takes beautiful photos and videos. The hike to the waterfalls is beautiful and the view and the opportunity to swim in the valley are beautiful and wonderful. We climbed Volcano Bromo with tour guide Herry, he knew the best sunrise viewpoint and we laughed a lot. Driving through this area in a jeep was really cool. During the climb of the Ijen volcano we were accompanied by Iwan, a funny tour guide who took good care of us and could tell us everything about the area. Ijen is truly an impressive natural phenomenon. In Sukamade we were taken by Wahyu, a super caring, friendly tour guide and a very good driver. The turtles experience was beautiful and the remote surroundings were magically beautiful. Yogi was our good drop off driver in Bali, it was a long drive but Yogi made sure it was a comfortable ride. Thank you to the organization and everyone who made this trip unforgettable!

We were looking for a private tour from Surabaya to Bali and Bromo Backpackers organised a wonderful five day itinerary visiting Bromo and Ijen. Out driver / guide was fantastic, and went above and beyond to ensure we had a wonderful trip. Everything was well organised and the communication before our arrival gave reassurance that we would be well looked after. East Java is a beautiful place to visit and we would recommend both the location and Bromo Backpackers as your guide.

We did the 3D/2N Mount Bromo and Ijen tour with bromobackpackers, starting in Surabaya and finishing in Bali, and it was simply a wonderful experience. We had two excellent guides, both in Bromo and Ijen, who showed us perfect spots to watch the sunrise and avoid the crowds, and who were helpful and nice all the way. They also took wonderful photos of the both of us. Bromo and Ijen are spots not to miss if you're visiting Java and we couldn't be happier to have visited them with bromobackpackers. Everything was perfectly arranged and Niko kept checking during the duration of our trip if things were going smoothly. Go for it!

Amazing experience! The staff was friendly and professional, they picked us up at the airport of Surabaya and dropped us off at our final destination (Ubud). Special mention to Pri (our driver for most of the time)! Local guides allowed us to enjoy wonderful views, always attentive to our needs. Again thank you to the company for delivering from Java to Bali the jacket I forgot during the climbing. We definitely recommend this tour!

This was a fantastic tour, and I’m really glad I picked it. Bromo backpackers were absolutely awesome, from the first days of getting contact to the end in Bali. You can definitely put your trust in them! I made a longer trip than the specified, but trip advisor just lets me pick this option. Contact them, and if you want some changes, you’ll get it. The price is very reasonable, and the service is super! We got a big car where my two meter tall sons easily fit in. We had wifi in it. And bottles of water were always there. We had a great, clear schedule. Everything was arranged. All questions were responded to quickly and in very good English. And the driver is really nice and speaks good English too and you get guides to the sights as well. They booked hotels for us, and those places were really good. Above our expectations. We added a resting day, and that was nice. Got to see stuff, and more time to hang around our great place at the slopes of Kawah Ijen then. What did we change compared to the advertisement? Well, we had five days, four nights. That gave us good time to see Malang Jodipan Colourful village, Kapas Biru, Tumpak Sewu, Bromo, some countryside when relaxing from Bromo and finally Kawah Ijen before getting to Ubud in Bali. All sights were really amazing, and I’ve seen several places in the world, so I know quite well what to compare with. These are all really worth seeing! I’m a quite experienced backpacker, and know how to get around, but I definitely think this was worth it. I didn’t miss anything from their service. They did great, so I really recommend you to do it. Preferably five days, just to get more good time. I know they’re consistently good too, because my daughter and her boyfriend made the same trip, three weeks before me, and they were equally happy.

My girlfriend and I did a tour from Surabaya to Bali, where we toured both Bromo and Ijen volcanoes. I would highly recommend this touring agency and specifically for their punctuality, professionalism and friendliness. Our driver Pri was reliable, kind and welcoming. The touring company partners with several local guides for the volcano treks who are equally professional and insightful. The price was also highly competitive.

The trip was absolutely fantastic. The team was punctual, friendly and professional and I thoroughly enjoyed the 3 days. Our (main) driver Alex was very patient and kind - and it's worth mentioning (as I just saw in other reviews) his excellent taste in music! The guide in Bromo (Heri) was not only excellent and very knowledgeable, but also very cheerful, which is exactly what we needed at 3am. He knew the best spots for taking photos too, and was pretty expert at taking them. The same applies to Iwan in Ijen - he was extremely knowledgeable and also a funny guy, whose jokes made the fairly long hike up to the crater go by more quickly than it would have! The final member of the team (also called Heri) who drove us across Bali was also really friendly and accommodated our wishes regarding stops etc with no problem at all - making the fairly long journey very pleasant. The hotels we stayed at were fairly basic, but very nice, clean and comfortable. The booking and communication to organise the tour was also fantastic and easy - all carried out over Whatapp in a simple, clear and professional way. The fact that the pick-up/drop off were at different places made the trip a great way to get between Surabaya (or Melang) and Bali. I will certainly be recommending it to any friends who are travelling to Indonesia. The views simply have to be seen to be believed!!

Team was professional, punctual and very friendly. Snacks are provided for the long trips. The whole 3day journey was smooth sailing no hiccups and the driver to the guides were all very patient with our requests. Communication was a breeze via whatsapp. Alex (driver) has excellent ppl relation skills and good taste in music. We were carpooling, karaoke-ing to our favourites thru parts of the long drive! Much appreciation to Iwan (Kawah Ijen guide) for his professionalism, knowledge and comedian entertainment 😂 throughout the hike eventhough it took more than the usual timing for the climb. Iwan had also shown priority for our safety. Lastly, special mention to Kunang & Lintang (Bromo guides) for their excellent hospitality. Lintang is often initiating to help take beautiful pictures and even editing them for her tourists. Overall bromobagpackers has not dissappoint in any way and would love to consider a return trip again! Thumbs uppp.

A really great way to see both Bromo and Ijen that’s hassle-free for you! Picked up and dropped off in helpful locations and everything you needed was thought of! Accommodation was good (particularly Hadi Homestay which was great!) and our driver Pri was absolutely brilliant! Highly recommend!

We visited the Ijen and Bromo volcano starting in Bali and ended in Malang. We were picked up in Ubud in our hotel in a private car and had this private car during the whole tour (3 days, 2 nights). I would definitely recommend this tour, it was absolutely an amazing experience! The price also good as some other tours you find online are more expensive, but are the same or less good. The driver during this tour was amazing, always friendly, helpful and providing information. This agency is very professional, everything was perfectly organized. Hotels are basic, but clean and all what you need. The two volcanos are absolutely a must do when visiting Java, it’s defintely worth the early wake-ups. Also the local tour guide at the Ijen volcano arranged by the agency was a really nice guy!

Everything was very well organized. I have got a very good communication with Niko before the trip and even during. Our driver Agus was very friendly and funny. We spent 5 amazing days with him. The guides in Ijen and Bromo volcanos were good ones especially Heri for Bromo who was very friendly also. He likes to take a lot of photos 😉. The hotels were ok and really well located according to the visits. The best one was sukuh cottage with a beautiful view even if there is a little misunderstanding of room category (Niko offered us the dinner). In conclusion, don't hesitate to book a tour with bromo backpackers. Best organization I have never seen!

Assolutamente consigliata! Tutto lo staff disponibile e premuroso, facilissima la comunicazione, ci sono venuti in contro nonostante il nostro ritardo a Surabaya e per il pagamento via bonifico. Il tour corrisponde perfettamente alla descrizione. I driver bravissimi, le guide (Henry e Juan) fantastiche. Grazie Niko, Nari e tutto lo staff!

Très bon rapport qualité prix. Niko est très réactif pour répondre aux questions préalables par mail ou whatsapp, et tout est bien ficelé du début à la fin. Il est aussi possible d'ajuster le programme en fonction des alés (pour nous le Bromo était "fermé" à telle date pour cause de cérémonie), nous avons donc commencé par ijen avant d'aller au Bromo puis d'être conduit en voiture, puis ferry + voiture jusqu'à notre hôtel à Bali. Ari et Medi Yohanes sont 2 bons conducteurs avec qui nous avons eu plaisir à discuter ! Les guides choisis étaient eux aussi parfaits !

Der Kontakt zu Niko über Whatsapp war super freundlich, reibungslos und einfach. Da wir uns anfangs noch nicht sicher waren, wie wir uns am Besten organisieren, hatte er Geduld und ist auf unsere Wünsche eingegangen. Schließlich haben wir uns in Yogyakarta abholen lassen, haben die 3-tägige Tour zu Bromo und Ijen gemacht und uns am Ende in Bali absetzen lassen. Der Kontakt zu Niko war ausschließlich über Whatsapp, per E-Mail haben wir alles bestätigt und auch die genauere Tourplanung und Rechnung bekommen. Als alles gebucht war, haben wir Fotos und Namen unserer Tourguides und unseres Fahrers bekommen, was super war. Als unser super freundlicher Fahrer Ari uns abgeholt hatte in Yogyakarta, hatte er uns die Tourplanung und die Rechnung sogar nochmal ausgedruckt mitgebracht gehabt. Das Geld konnten/sollten wir einfach ihm geben. Auf uns hatten für die ganzen Autofahrten in den kommenden Tagen immer genug Wasser und sogar ein paar Snacks gewartet. Die Unterkunft beim Bromo war nichts besonderes, hat aber für die eine, kurze Nacht ausgereicht. Warmes Wasser zum Duschen gab es. Mitten in der Nacht wurden wir mit dem Jeep zur Tour abgeholt. Unser Tourguide für den Morgen war Heri. Was ein toller Guide! Er wusste sehr viel zu erzählen, hatte auf jede Frage eine Antwort und vor allem ein super ambitionierter, motivierter und guter Fotograph! Die besten Fotos unserer Indonesien-Rundreise sind hier entstanden, dank Heri. Er hat wirklich ein sehr gutes Auge für Motive und die richtigen Zeitpunkte. Der Sonnenaufgang beim Bromo war einfach magisch. Nach dem Frühstück (auch inklusive) ging es dann weiter zum Vulkan Ijen. Das Hotel hier war super. Sehr gehobener Standard, sogar mit Pool. In der Nacht wurden wir für die Tour abgeholt. Unser Tourguide war Iwan. Auch ein klasse und lustiger Guide für dieses Abenteuer. Das Erlebnis von dem blue fire ist wirklich sensationell und einmalig. Nach dem Frühstück (es war auch inklusive) ging es dann mit unserem Fahrer mit der Autofähre nach Bali und für uns zu unserer Unterkunft nach Ubud. Der ganze Trip war super organisiert, alle waren pünktlich und es gab keine Probleme. Super nette Menschen getroffen und unvergessliche Momente erlebt. Wir können diese Tour nur jedem empfehlen. Vielen Dank für dieses Erlebnis!
