This trip was definitely worth the money, the draw originally was the bioluminescent plankton which was a very cool and unique experience, as was kayaking in the dark but the highlight was dinner and the amazing guides! We had Luffy and Rio and they honestly made the entire experience one of the best tours I’ve ever been on, I would recommend for anyone looking to try something a little different and enjoys beautiful views on the water

AMAZING experience seeing bioluminescence! I’m surprised more people haven’t heard of this tour, which was so lovely! Beautiful sunset boat cruise in Lan Ha Bay, including nice dinner on the boat, and then very peaceful night kayaking to experience the glowing plankton, which can only be described as absolute MAGIC 🤩 This tour is a must. When in your life do you get to see this phenomenon? The plankton glows with motion, so when you dip your hand / paddle in the water it activates swirls of glowing sparkles…like thousands of bright blue firefly orbs. Absolutely stunning! Our guide (Luffy) was incredibly knowledgeable and lovely to be around. The whole team was warm and welcoming, ensuring we all had a wonderful time. Magnificent experience. Absolutely do this tour! A must if you are in the area. Tip: research moon/tide schedules ahead of time to determine when conditions are most ideal for your visit. For best visibility you want complete darkness (new moon) and ideally low tide with lots of algae. Enjoy!

Kayaking was amazing, the plankton were beautiful and we could see them clearly. The tour guide Ryan was knowledgeable and friendly!

It was an amazing day out on the sea with tony and ryan!! we did the day & night tour! never crowded or too touristic! could definitely recommend it to abybody! we would do it again!!

This was the best part of my trip to Ha Long. We had the best tour guide who happened to be a photographer as well and he took some wonderful photos too. It was not only the most beautiful and wonderful place to travel to but also the most interesting and informative because our guide told a lot about the nature of bioluminescence. His English speaking abilities were impressive. I really loved the tour and definitely suggest everyone to try it out. Oh and the food for dinner was delicious 😋 And kayaking was super fun and easy unlike my expectations that it's gonna be difficult and slow, we managed to make great team with my fellow "kayaking professional". By the way Solo travellers don't need to worry about going there alone because it's a great opportunity to meet and greet amazing people from around the world.

Experiencing the bioluminescence was amazing! Loved the entire boating experience with evening views, friendly and insightful tour guides, and delicious dinner. Definitely one of the highlights of my Vietnam trip.

The tour was amazing from start to finish. Friendly and informative vibe from someone with lived experience on the water. The plankton were magical.

We enjoyed our evening paddle. The guides were informative, fun and laid back. The glowing plankton was really neat and the science lovers in our group pointed this out as a highlight of our Vietnam trip. And nothing beats a sunset on the water, of course.

Had a wonderful time on the tour, truly an amazing experience to see and swim along the bioluminescent plankton. The guides were super nice, spoke perfect english and the whole atmosphere was very welcoming. Can definitely recommend!

Despite being the day after full moon, we had very good views of the plankton. Ryan took us through a quiet bay on our kayaks. Some people on our tour went for a swim from their kayak and we ate a good dinner in the evening, although it was a little later than expecting. Hung AKA Mario was a pleasure to have for assistance on the tour. He should be promoted

It was an amazing experience! Even tho we thought we want see nuch because the water was not clear and it was a little fogy we still be able to see a lot of glowing planton, swim in a beautiful bay at night. Hard to describe how good were the tour guilds, all of them spoke amazing english, talk, swim and laugh with us! All in all 10/10!

Absolutely amazing experience! Luffy was such a brilliant tour guide and so informative! The night kayak was amazing and so surreal to kayak around with all the stars and the bioluminescence of the plankton! I would 100% recommend to anyone who is in Cat Ba and wants to do a kayaking tour! Dinner was also brilliant and Luffy even took lots of pictures of the trip.

Luffy was the best guide ever, perfect English, he sends us the pictures of the trip in less than an hour and he was super motivating every minute. Love it!

We took this tour to fill time, but it was one of the best experience we had in Vietnam. Luffy was a great guide and together with his friend they took us to research floating fish farm, where they explained about type of fish found in han lan bay and their studies. As night was falling they took us to a floating homestay where we did kayaking in the night to see the amazing bioluminescent plankton and even swan with it. That was magical and the kids loved it. This was then followed by a great diner on the boat with fish specialities. I especially enjoyed the BBQed oysters. The whole trip was great and well paced. My daughter had also a recent burn on her leg and straight after the swim, they took care of her with first aid kit. They knew what to do. Thank you. Fantastic experience

A trip you don't hear tourists speaking about and they should! This is a hidden gem experience and one not to be missed. One of the most magical and memorable experiences. A huge shout out to Luffy our tour guide, he was so knowledgeable and is such a great guy. Highly recommend!!

What an amazing trip! One of the less-talked about excursions in Vietnam but one we would definitely recommend. Seeing the views in the evening minus all the other tourists was beautiful enough, but factor in the late night canoeing where we saw the bioluminescent plankton took the whole experience to another level. The full experience was pretty faultless, the staff were incredibly helpful, and Luffy in particular was super knowledgeable about the area, the local people and the science behind the amazing bioluminescent. Putting your hand in the water and seeing it shimmering with bioluminescence was a surreal feeling and one that everyone should try. We only found out about this after meeting two fellow travellers who recommended the trip, so we would definitely urge anyone to do it, and also tell anyone you meet to do the same! A truly memorable, once-in-a-lifetime experience.

Overall experience was great! The boat ride out in LAN Ha bay was the best way to see the bay at dusk and without the general crowds. The luminescence plankton were amazing and our guide Lufi showed us great spots to find plankton!
