Great guide and fascinating experience. The only downside was that seating was on the floor with limited room for stretching. Those with flexibility problems should be aware of this issue.

An amazing experience- one to remember- would recommend. Would strongly advise the tour operator to provide better instructions and a map to locate the meeting point for travellers unfamiliar with the area.

True athletes. Great experience. Genuine - not a tourist trap. Appreciate that they allowed photos (no videos allowed).

Instructions of meeting place were not the best. You need to wait outside the main entrance of the station. Gathering the twenty people together on this tour was chaotic. We wee asked to be there 15 minutes before start time. So we got there at 8:45am. By the time everyone actually arrived it was 9:20. Then we all took a train to the next station and walked for ten minutes. None of this was in the info once booked. Once there you sit on flat cushions crossed legged for an hour and a half. It was well worth it. Very little information given by tour guide just a couple of photocopies handed out. That being said it’s definitely worth it. You have to make your own way back to the starting point once training at the stables ends. This isn’t clear in the info given when you book either. No individual photographs taken just one group photo which we didn’t get a copy of.

Was a fantastic experience. Saw the top wrestlers and you sit close enough to shake hands with them. Yoko was an excellent guide. Extremely knowledgeable and organised. Spoke excellent English. Highly organised. Highly recommend this experience.

We were incredibly close to the wrestlers & you feel & hear the big contacts. Wonderful to witness the stable & get an idea of how they train & practice. Unbelievable experience. And the printed information from the guide was informative & useful. A fabulous couple of hours.

We have seen a respectful and hard training . The best thing was that a 24th champion gave a extra session.

We loved our Sumo tour! Our guide was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable and spoke great English. As we sat quietly in Sumo practice, we could hear our guide through our ear piece provide educational and informative facts about sumo, the stable, the sport, and its importance to Japan. Our tour also ended with a nice photo op with a few wrestlers. Would recommend!

Interesting to see and experience. But zero background, insights on culture, practise regime, history or persons are given. It really would be much better if the guide dod more than just google maps direction

Very authetic experience, sitting and wayching the sumo wrestlers train for about an hour and a half of their 3-4 hr morning practice. They didn't seem to notice us at all, but kept training as usual. The stable we went to even had small chairs, which was a nice surprise. Our guide was very kind and knowledgeable as well.

Amazing experience! I highly recommend seeing this at least once in your life in person. These guys train VERY hard and the action is non stop for 2hrs. Try to sit in the front row as it’s more immersive if you have nothing between you and the ring. The trainer at this stable is known in Japan as the “Michael Jordan” of Sumo wrestling!

This was the PERFECT sumo experience. We were able to watch their morning practice at the stable. I wasn’t going to be in town for the tournament but this was the perfect substitute. We sat quietly and watched some super interesting wrestling. They allowed us to take pictures and videos which most places don’t so if you’re looking to do so this is the best activity to book. I would love to go again and if you’ve never seen sumo up close this is the place to do it!

Our guide Yoko was super informative and passionate about sumo wrestling. I was happy to find out that we got to watch real sumo wrestlers in a real stable. This is an experience my kids and I will always remember!

Wow wow wow! A real must when visiting Tokyo Japan! Our guide Yoko met us outside the train station as per the instructions, she was super knowledgable, friendly and enthusiastic. We caught the train (they paid for the ticket), we then walked to the practise. It was epic! Prepare for dead legs cause you sit cross logged for an hour but it’s so worth it! Highly recommend
