Our tour guide was young & informative. He stopped at the Alaska sign & even pulled over to see bears. He explained crossing the border & told funny interesting stories.

For me the drive into the alpine region was of great interest since I had taken a similar trip in the fall of 2023. Seeing where the tectonic plates meet by the old and new bridge are located was extremely interesting to me to see the line traverse from one mountain top down through the valley and up to the other mountain top.

We had a great time visiting the Suspension Bridge. And , we really enjoyed having Noah as our host/driver and narrator for the adventure.

A four hour bus tour sounded a bit dull, but we hadn't made any plans for Skagway, so we booked this tour on arrival in Skagway. We were only in a small bus and made so many stops for photos that the hours passed really quickly, and we enjoyed every minute. The scenery is stunning and Mike, our guide, knew every waterfall and beautiful beach to stop at. Our guide Mike was amazing, friendly, lively, chatty, funny and took multiple photos for everyone on the trip. We were lucky enough to see some bears at the side of the road. Mike was a great guide and we would recommend this trip as a great way to see beautiful Alaska.

Andrew was the best tour guide and while we had a few stops on the way there, he made sure we beat the crowds at the Yukon suspension bridge and we made multiple stops on the way back. Andrew was awesome and took our photos for us so we could both be in them other than selfies. He even took our group on a hike to Reid falls which was an awesome twist to our tour. I highly recommend Skagway Tours and would definitely book with them again!

The elevation changes causing weather to change in each change. Obviously the sights and views. The suspension bridge views were magnificent. The tour guide was knowledgeable and comedic with a vast knowledge of history.

If you're looking at the excursions you're probably already planning on going to Alaska, so you've already made good life decisions. When you get to Skagway there is a lot of options for excursions, whatever you do, make sure you take a trip up into the Yukon, it is incomparable to anything imagination or pictures could muster. Now the important bit. The most popular way to see the Yukon seemed to be the train, though I am unbelievably grateful that we choose to skip the train in lieu of the bus tour. I'll tell you what I heard of the train and why the bus was better. First, don't bother booking this through the cruise ship, they add no value and the tour companies make their money from serving the cruise customers and ensure you're able to get back to the boat on time. As for the train, it sounded like you boarded it, ride to one of a few stops depending on the excursion length you booked and then they take you back. No commentary, no stops through out other than your planned one, not a lot of opportunity for pictures or just to experience it. The van tour was great, picked up right by the ships, we had maybe 10 people on a bus that could probably hold 50-100. We had Mike as our tour guide and he was phenomenal. Born and raised, he knew the area very well, and was able to bring us to many amazing places, he was a real character and really made the tour incredibly enjoyable. We were sworn to secrecy so I can't divulge every detail, but suffice it to say that Skagway Tours definitely went above and beyond, and is well worth your trip. On top of all that, it's one of the least expensive tours and we were able to stop frequently, get out of the van and just stand and absorb the majestic expanse around you.

This started off as a great tour. Reasonable price, great driver/guide, and interesting itinerary. However, the bus had a mechanical problem thirty minutes into the excursion and it took an hour for a replacement bus. By then, there wasn't enough time to complete the entire itinerary. However, our guide did the best to show us as much as possible. In addition, the tour company refunded 100% of the cost within 2-3 days. I can't really expect anymore of a tour operator than that.

Highlight for our stop in Skagway: on time extra sized bus took full time exploring town, stops on highway through summit and suspension bridge. Bonus is your tour guide Mike. Born x bred local, engaging, insightful, colorful. Mikey is that dude. Buy him a beer. Worth the time and money. Do the train in morning, absolutely do this tour in afternoon.

This is a Great excursion. Beautiful scenery. Was early May and just beginning to thaw. Waterfalls were beginning to flow if not in shade of another mountain. The suspension bridge is a must to walk across. I do not like heights but the beauty and majesty of the area makes it worth it.

Such a fantastic tour! Skagway itself was cool but the tour was so good. The drive out is beautiful & as you climb we went through the snow. The suspension bridge is a must see. The snow dog puppies are awesome & so playful. Andrew the guide/driver was hilarious & insightful. Would 100% recommend to anyone

Feefo Reviews Logo English (United Kingdom) Customer Experience Michael Boteler2 minutes ago ' Anyone who loves photography, beautiful views, and laughing, this is for you ' Where do I even begin? First off, our guide's name was Mike. Mike was SO funny and welcoming. My wife and I were laughing the entire excursion. At all the stops we made, he would offer to take a picture of us in the scenery... The first time he did this, he took a quick selfie of himself as a joke. We found out hours later when we were going through all the photos and we thought it was hilarious. Beyond our fantastic guide, the stops for photos were amazing. Mike admitted that the stops depend on weather, how many other guides are there already, time, and a few other reasons. So this means he changes the destinations of our pit photo stops along the way so we have full privacy to take our photos without being cramped! It was great! All through the trip, Mike gave us wonderful stories and histories not only about Skagway but of the locations we visited. The suspension bridge is really great, it is in Canada, so bring your passports, and it's a bit of a drive, but it's all a wonderful experience. We made an impromptu stop because Mike spotted mountain goats, so he lent out his binoculars and we all stood and watched the animals scale the side of the mountain! If you are looking for an excursion that will make you laugh, give you stories and history, go to off-the-trail photo locations, and have an all-around blast of a time, choose this excursion. You WILL NOT regret it.

We found gold on this tour. Mike, our driver and tour guide grew up local in Skagway. His experiences, knowledge and humor were icing on the cake of the incredible Alaskan, British Columbia, and Yukon scenery.

Fantastic trip through Skagway and into the Yukon. Our tour guide was fabulous. And what a great value! Our travel companions all rode the train, and didn’t see or experience half of what we encountered. Thanks Skagway Tours!
