Excellent customer service from start to finish. Bryan in the office was really helpful with our booking. We chose to leave from their office ( which gave us an extra half an hour for breakfast) on the day trip to the Sumidero Canyon and Chiapa de Corzo. The minibus driver, Miguel, was friendly, helpful and informative from the start. We drove to the departure point for the boats to the canyon. It's a two hour boat journey so it was pointed out that there was a loo ( 5 pesos) by the quay incase we needed it. We were all given life jackets and helped on board. The captain introduced himself, gave us a safety briefing and we set off. What an absolutely fantastic trip along the canyon. Within minutes we'd seen a couple of crocodiles basking in the sun on the shore, a female spider monkey and her babe jumping in the trees, Turkey Vultures, various heron species and cormorants. We got to spot faces in the rocks, learnt a little about the history of the place and shared the captain's enthusiasm for his canyon. When we reached the dam there was a little boat bar where we could by drinks and crisps. The boat then heads back to base at speed ( so be careful with those drinks) but not so fast that we didn't stop whenever we passed more crocodiles and monkeys. We then drove through the city of Tuxtla and up into the mountain to various miradors to see the canyon from above. Amazing views. Then onto Chiapas de Corzo, colorful and bright and cheerful. You can get some lunch here or mooch around the shops. Worth a little walk to the front of the church and then down to the waters edge. A very different laid back approach to shopping after San Cristobal, the stall/shop owners acknowledged my presence , told me to ask them if I needed any help and then let me browse. Back to the bus, back to San Cristobal , fabulous time, thoroughly recommend it.

While I wasn't enthusiastic about a boat ride down the river, this turned out to be a really wonderful trip allowing for some outrageous views that only a river tour could deliver! Bring your sunscreen and a hat for sunshade! A tour that's worth every penny, Don't forget to tip your tour guide!

The canyon is spectacular, but don't use this tour company. We were a group of six, scheduled for December 1 pickup for an English-speaking tour - not at our hotel, but at one of the hotel choices we were given when booking. We were asked to be there at 8:45. At 9:00, we called the office and the agent said, "Today?" Not a good start. She said someone would be there in 10 minutes. At 9:20 we called again, then had a Spanish-speaker call. At 9:30 a van arrived with six Spanish-speakers already aboard. First the driver said that he could only take three of us, then two more. I walked back to our hotel and found the van there offering for me to join and sit in the front seat. OK. Now it is 10:00am. Meanwhile, I got an email from Viatour at 9am reminding me to bring my ticket to the tour TOMORROW. I checked and sure enough my ticket was for TODAY. When we arrived at the launch site, there was no English-speaking guide. Not only that, but see the photo above? Not the boat we were on... instead we were crammed into a slightly larger boat with 40 people -- two seats on each side, not one. Come on, Tripadvisor, you can do better than this!

Well organised & good value Weather can change rapidly so prepare for blazing sun & heavy rain. We saw herons,Pelicans,2 Spider Monkeys & 1 swimming crocodile. Most of all & very disturbing we saw thousands of floating plastic bottles which tarnished the experience. If you have a bad back I would definitely give this a miss or sit at the back as it’s a very BUMPY ride at speed.

We booked this tour at an agency at the main square of San Cristóbal. The tour consists of three parts: - boat tour through the canyon: very impressive. Lasts about two hours. Boat was fully packed. Unfortunately there was a lot of plastic waste floating in the canyon. My suggestion: double the entry to the canyon and use this money for regular cleaning. It really made me feel very sad to see all this garbage in this amazing landscape. - visit at Chiapas town: we didn’t really enjoy this part. Hardly any nice places to eat. I can imagine why this is part of the tour though. (support the local community) - visiting two viewpoints to see the canyon from up high. I enjoyed this part, but it took in total more than an hour to get there and get back again; not everyone in my group thought it worthwhile (I personally did). The agency told us the tour would take five hours, but it turned out to be almost eight hours! No problem for us, but keep this in mind if you are on a tight schedule. Unfortunately there were no English speaking guides available, so we missed a lot of information during the boat tour.

Since we were never picked up at the hotel, even though we waited for an hour, we do not have much good to say about this trip. We can see that the money for the trip have been deducted from my account and those we would like to have back.

Tout le monde m'a conseillé de quand même faire un tour avec une agence car ça reviendrait au même financièrement parlant pour aller au canyon, alors confiante face à tous ces retours positifs je n'ai pas cherché à choisir une agence, me disant qu'elles font toutes la même chose....quelle erreur! Déjà, je détgeste quand je demande les yeux dans les yeux à la femme à l'agence si le départ le matin est sûr et certain à l'heure maximum indiquée et qu'elle me le confirme, me laissant bien sûr toute énervée quand ben...je suis en train d'attendre sur le trottoir pendant 45 minutes et que donc, on part bien plus tard que ce qui est indiqué! Ce que je ne voulais absolument pas vu qu'ils annonçaient du 38 degré à Chiapa de Corzo et que ça ne me disait pas trop qu'on arrive en plein cagnard. Bingo! Une chaleur horrible, un van avec une mauvaise aérationh, première fois de ma vie que j'ai failli vomir en voiture alors que je suis guide de montagne au pays. Le conducteur se croit dans Fast and Furious pour arriv er dans lews temps en partant aussi tard et il ne me laisse pas passer à l'avant parce qu'il y a déjà des personnes. Ca c'est le summum! Je lui dis que je vais gerber mais rien n'y fait, il ne demande pas à l'une des personnes à l'avant de me laisser une place. Ce fut le bad trip de ma vie ce trajet dans les gorges! Beaucoup de trajet de route pour finalement arriver à la pire heure pour voir le canyon comme je l'avais imaginé, (c'est à dire lumière à c.ier) puis être dans une barque bouillante sans ombre qui va à une vitesse folle sur l'eau et donc personne ne pouvait garder son chapeau, quitte à le perdre. Bienvenue l'insolation et les coups de soleil! J'ai cru mourir de chaleur et tant je me sentais mal que je me suis jetée à l'eau arrivée au bout, tant pis pour les crocodiles et l'eau dégueulasse. C'était une question de survie pour redescendre en température. Au retour idem, il n'a pas voulu me laisser passer à l'avant; les passagers à l'arrière étaient avec moi sur le coup mais j'étais bien trop polie pour m'imposer. Depuis quand on paye pour une place dans un van et qu'on n'en change pas? ça me fait halluciner! Le must étant aussi l'un des passagers, un jeune mexicain qui picole tout du long, allume un pétard sur la barque et se permet de me dire de garder la fenetre fermée dans le van quand je cherchais de l'air... Vraiment on ne m'y reprendra plus. Je n'ai pas du tout pu apprécier la beauté des lieux, un tour pareil gâche tout. A fuir, Grosse daube!

La excursión buena, precio justo y la camioneta en muy buenas condiciones. El chófer ok; sin embargo teníamos un perrito de apoyo y no pudimos llevarlo que porque los otros clientes se pueden molestar, sin embargo es más molesto que nos hayan dejado a dos cuadras del centro de Chiapas de corzo solo para ofrecernos un buffet el cual no estábamos interesados y aún más incómodo que nos hayan dicho una hora para regresar a San Cristóbal desde Chiapas de corzo y por Clientes nos hayamos atrasado casi una hr más, la tolerancia debería ser 20 min, si no están ni modo muchas agencias en otros estados e incluso países así trabajan, por qué eso sí es molesto para otros clientes.

Disons que cela a mal démarré avec 50 mn de retard sur le heure annoncé, "el tráfico" n' était pas la bonne excuse puisque la suite est venue confirmer un problème d organisation. Ensuite détours pour faire le plein puisque pas assez d'essence pour notre trip. Ensuite "ah oui j' ai oublié la argent à l'hôtel" d'une partie du groupe qui devait certainement lui permettre de payer la sortie en bateau. Ensuite il a roulé à tombeaux ouverts pour rattraper le temps perdu ...qui ne se rattrape jamais. La montée de 1h20 en bus est plus crevante qu'utile. Faire directement la sortie en bateau serait plus judicieuse. La visite du canyon vaut la peine. Par contre , ils sont entrain de dégrader le site avec tous les déchet s en plastique et autres. Todos los tours que contratamos salieron en tiempo en camionetas limpias y en buen estado. En el camino a Palenque hubo un bloqueo y el conductor del tour nos apoyó a llegar, aún separándonos del grupo estuvimos seguros. Al contactar a la agencia, de inmediato enviaron un chofer particular para ir por nosotros al hotel y continuar nuestro tour como estaba planeado.

La empresa organizó muy mal el tour. Nos convocó a las 8 am y al ver que no llegaban nos dijeron que sería a las 9 am. El barco en el cañón se le dañó el motor y tuvimos que esperar a que enviaran otro barco sustituto. El tour guide se excusó por los atrasos pero entonces propuso cortar el tour y sacrificar la visita al los miradores, cosa que no aprobamos. Al final, nos dejó en Chiapa de Corzo diciendo que nos recogía en dos horas y media. No supimos más de él hasta que llegó al punto de encuentro en la plaza de Chiapa de Corzo. En general, el tour estuvo muy mal.

Reservé el tour del Cañón del Sumidero y miradores vía correo. Dado que me gusta comparar, coticé con varias agencias vía mail las cuales daban un precio similar. El problema está en que el precio otorgado por correo es casi el doble del precio que ofrecen en su oficina de San Cristóbal (650 online vs 350 pesos). Pedí explicaciones en persona y no son capaces de dar argumentos válidos, dándome a entender que lo hacen de manera regular. Es decir, estafan a todo usuario que reserve vía correo. A nivel del tour propiamente dicho, Explorando Chiapas está al nivel del resto de operadores de San Cristóbal. Sin embargo, la falta de ética de Fátima Nava (reservaciones) y Eliseo Gómez (director general) hacen que no pueda recomendarles para este u otro tour.

Es un sueño visitar esos lugares, son lugares que transmiten mucha tranquilidad, así valoramos como debemos cuidar el medio ambiente, la gente muy sencilla, la comida muy rica.

Una gran aventura navegar por este río y conocer el Cañon, en algún momento parecía estar en la cordillera de patagonia argentina. En Chiapa de Corzo justo llegamos para la festividad de Los Parachicos..¡maravilloso!

La naturaleza nos regala bellos lugares, definitivamente hay que visitarlo. Lo mejor aún te encuentras fauna Silvestre, no solo vimos aves también cocodrilos y un par de monitos araña. Tratemos de preservar estos increíbles lugares!!!

Es un lugar hermoso! No debe uno perdérselo cuando visite uno Chiapas, es una maravilla natural ! Las personas que nos llevaron en la lancha fueron atentas y nos explicaron lo que preguntamos . Ojalá y pudieran limpiar mas el agua de el río . Es una lástima que contaminemos así esos lugares tan hermosos.
