Fantastic day. Authentic and delicious food. Had the morning exploring the market before cooking up a storm. Enjoyed eating the feast we created. Couldn’t recommend enough. Have gone away inspired to cook more and armed with recipes.

This was fun and enjoyable activity packed with value. The guided walk through the food market was very interesting. We had an opportunity to try some exotic fruits and sweets as we saw everything from live chickens to spice vendors. We also had a photo op in front of a local rice field before we went to our cooking class. Everyone got to participate preparing and cooking all the dishes. We sampled each dish as we completed them, then had a grand buffet at the end. The instructor was great and the entire family assisted in making sure everything was perfect. It was a great way to make new friends, too.

Great experience. Was nice to drive out of city centre. Driver was great and informative. We are a family with 2 teenagers and they also enjoyed it. The food was delicious.

The day was a fun atmosphere with a group of 11 people. It started with a visit to a local market where you could buy some spices that were used in your cooking on the day. Wayan, the cook was great. He explained the dishes well and let us do the majority of the cooking. The food was really nice and was very filling. Leftovers were able to be taken home for dinner. It was a great way to meet some local people, see where and how they live and have some fun. The driver was on time for pick up. Everyone spoke good English. Overall the day out was an enjoyable experience. I would recommend people doing this cooking class.

Amazing cooking class , one of the best ones i’ve done , it was so organised and the chef who was teaching our group knew exactly what he was talking about , the food we produced was delicious and overall was just an amazing experience !

Highly recommend! Tata was a brilliant guide, he showed us around the local markets letting us sample fresh produce before bringing us to the immersive cooking class. Great fun, delicious food! Go hungry and wear comfortable foot wear.

The cooking class was a delight, we went to the morning class which included a tour of a local market. Our instructor taught us about some of the unique fruits and vegetables they had there. We also went to see the rice fields, and then we were brought to the kitchen where we had to cook 9 meals with the ingredients provided. They were preselected which made the experience a lot faster and easier. We got to have a small taste of each meal we made. And then the staff cooked all the meals and we had an all you can eat buffet at the end. They also give you the online recipe so you can try cooking them yourself at home. 5/5

What a wonderful experience! We enjoyed meeting our fellow chefs - 2 Australians & 2 Singaporeans. The whole morning was good fun as well as informative. We were picked up in Ubud and driven to the village of Tampaksiring to visit the market. Preparations were underway for the Hindu Galangan celebration so the market was buzzing. The class was at Wayan's nearby house and Ketuk, our chef was an excellent teacher. There was plenty of space to work, all ingredients were prepared for us and there was no washing up to do! 🤣 The highlight for us was the chicken satay (chicken lollipops) and peanut sauce - delicious. The session culminated in a 9 course lunch before a drive back to Ubud though beautiful countryside. We also left with a link to a pdf file for the recipes. We highly recommend this class for its organisation, environment and experience. Thank you Ketuk and staff 👏👏

We booked through Trip Advisor before we travelled. Great communication from Wayan who picked us up from our Ubud hotel (shared transport with another couple). We stopped off at some rice fields to learn about rice growing before being taken to a local market (we did the morning trip) to meet our market guide. We shopped for some ingredients and had a very informative market tour being shown, and tasting, different fruits and sweet treats. We then got taken to the cookery school, which was a great set up of 2 large kitchens (ground floor & 1st floor) with individual gas burner stations (about 12 person capacity each). They provided us with water, aprons & tea towels. Our head chef explained what we needed to do at each stage before we chopped & cooked, whilst several assistants cleared away then brought fresh ingredients for the next dish. Hand washing was encouraged regularly and every process was extremely well organised. We combined all of our cooking into one big buffet lunch (9 dishes) and a desert. The food tasted amazing and the preparation was fun. I can't recommend this trip highly enough for organisation, value for money and an all round excellent experience. We were so impressed that we asked Wayan to organise a driver for us the next day to visit various locations on our list - Tegalalang rice Terraces, Waterfall, Ubud Water Temple & Monkey Forest. Ketut was another safe driver and lovely to talk to - waited for us for as long as we needed. Thanks guys

Ketut was the best guide! We enjoyed the market visit and seeing the rice fields - great addition to the class. They catered to vegetarians as well with yummy tempeh and tofu options.

Excellent cooking experience with Balinese food. Great staff especially the tour guide who brought us to the market and rice field. Friendly service from the cooking guide too.

The cooking class was fantastic. It was well organized and so much fun. It was easy to follow the directions and produce great food. After cooking, the feast was shared by everyone in the group and we all got to eat what we cooked. The market that we went to before the class was also amazing. I would highly recommend this class to anyone. It was a really great time.
