I really wanted to do this tour, my husband. Didn’t really want to go , but the guild was very knowledgeable and informative. I was so glad we made the decision to go and so was my husband, the pick up and drop off was dead on time. If you are in the area I would recommend this tour, sad but knowledgeable.

The visit was an emotional one and an inlightning one. The guide was very good both in regards to his knowledge but also in his ability to anwser questions and his knowledga was impresive. Good English skills. I would most definitely recomend a visit with guide to this place.

It was a very interesting visit. I really recommend it but a guide. Mine was Mikey and he was very knowledgeable. He explain everything during 2 hours. The card for the trip was on my credit card but I return to the hotel, they charged me an additional twice the cost but in cash. In fact it cost me 3 times teh cost. be aware.

We joined two other people for the trip to the Stuffhof Camp with Michael as our tour guide. He was great, very personable and gave us lots of information. This kind of tour is always a sobering experience but he made it enjoyable. I wish we had more time there however, between getting picked up 75 min later than I thought we would and the way it's set up in general, we didn't have any time to explore on our own. There was a LOT of information there that I would have liked to revisit. Well, maybe on a nicer day since the cold and rawness didn't make you want to stay outside too much longer than we already had, but I feel like I would have definitely spent more time walking the grounds and reading the captions.

Excellent tour with Michael, really took time to carefully explain the history of the camp honestly but compassionately. I had to take a moment at the end to really think about what I'd just learnt as the presentation was so gentle it took time to sink in. The driver was also excellent with door to door service. Highly recommend this tour.

We visited in oct 19, there were 7 of us and we booked separately through the Ryanair link. They called us the day before & also text confirming the pickup time which was 9.10, we assumed it was later as we filled the taxi and they didn’t have other pick ups. Other reviews state it’s free entry and you can do separately yourself as it’s cheaper but I would book this trip again! It’s a 45 minute taxi ride each way which would cost you way more in the uk. We had an Irish tour guide who was great, very informative, we all learnt so much, it also made our trip to the world war 2 museum the following day more interesting. The taxi driver was also lovely and advised us to book as a private group if we did any other excursions as it would be the same price as for 4 people or a group of 7. We didn’t notice a group option when we booked so worth looking closer than we did but it didn’t really bother us as we all thought the trip was worth what we paid.

The tour to the concentration camp Stutthof was highly interesting. The guide, Michael, was very kind and also very knowledgeable about the disturbing subject matter Recommended.

Booked this trip for two of us and we were sent a text message with a pickup time of 8:00am the night before from our hotel. At 8:35 we were getting anxious as no one had turned up and we were unable to get a reply from the company on the telephone. The driver turned up at 8:40 and we found he spoke limited English. When we got to the camp our driver told us the English tour guide was not available until 10:00 so we had to amuse ourselves for half an hour. When the guide arrived though he was amazing and I couldn’t fault his knowledge or service. Entrance to the camp is actually free and you only pay 18 zloty when you get there if you want an English speaking guide or you can walk around yourself for free. Just to clarify You are actually paying the tour price for the minibus to pick you up and drop you off so it’s basically a taxi service. Uber would do the same trip for 175 zloty each way (£35) And there are numbers for local taxi companies on the board outside the camp if you can’t get an Uber back. We did enjoy the trip and would recommend the camp and guide to anyone but we were frustrated that the pickup was late and not being able to contact the company by telephone when we had an issue. If I was to go again I would arrange a taxi with my hotel or just Uber it as it would cost less and be more timely.

The guide at Stuthoff was excellent. Kind, knowledgable, and sensitive. The tour was exactly two hours and we returned immediately. I think you should give an extra hour (minimum half hour) for those who want to review the exhibits at their own pace. Although our guide could not have been more informative and thorough, I could not read every exhibit that I wanted. I felt like I spent my whole time trying to photograph everything lest I miss something because we were going so fast, which is fine, but I would have liked to spend some time just looking, reading, meditating, reflecting, and praying. I wanted to slow down and take in what I had just seen and learned and spend more time at certain parts of the museum. I needed to let it sink in but we were just whisked away. The guide was excellent was but an additional free time would have been nice.

I'd like to start by saying access to the site is free. You could take an uber or taxi which may be cheaper. However, the guide we had was amazing and we are very happy we chose to have her with us. She was great and knowledgable which made the experience so much better. She collected us from the hotel took us directly there it was around an hour drive from Gdansk. Definitely worth the trip.

We were staying in Sopot, but for the small fee of 60 zloty the driver picked us up from our apartment here. We travelled in a minibus with six other people, making the group eight in total. The small size of the group made it very easy to follow along with what our guide was telling us. We were picked up at 08.30, and when we left the camp site after the tour, the line to get in was incredibly long. Would recommend choosing the early tours, the sight was far from crowded when we where there. The booking was easy, and all practical information needed was promptly given. The driver was friendly and gave us an extra half an hour to walk around the camp after the main tour. Our guide in the camp was easy to understand even with the Polish accent, and had extensive knowledge of everything regarded the camp and it's history. He asked about our nationality, and gave us extra information about prisoners from our countries which made the experience even more interesting for us. Would absolutely go again, this is a must-do tour if in Gdansk and surrounding cities and areas.

We were collected by a friendly driver and taken straight to Stutthof. Upon arrival we were greeted by a fantastic Irish tour guide. He had the perfect balance professionalism, knowledge and sensitivity. This was our first experience of such an emotive place and he really understood when to delve deeper into the horrors that took place there, and when to try and lighten the mood. He made us feel very comfortable and was able to answer every single question we had and more. ((feeling awful that I have forgotten his name!)) Our driver was also fab as he offered to take us to wherever we wanted afterwards, even though we had already arranged our drop-off point.

Fantastisk omvisning. Utrolig spennende historie, fremført av en super guide. Hentet akkurat som avtalt foran hotelldør.
