What a fun experience! Pamela showed us around the old town (mostly) providing us with a great overview of the city, it’s history, and some of it’s recent challenges. The food was all great, and the little shops and stops along the way were all so authentic with many away from the main tourist areas. It as election day when we were there, and that was really interesting itself as Pamela explained how voting is mandatory and how that all worked. Highly recommended!

What a great introduction to Quito and Ecuador! Our guide Santiago was fantastic and we enjoyed his extensive knowledge of food, arts, history, architecture, music ……. The food was so good and as others have said, don’t eat breakfast before the tour.

It was a great time! We went to a lot of places off the main tourist path, which gave me a better appreciation of Ecuadorian food. Fully recommend!

We booked a food tour and had a great time. Pamela was our guide and she spoke perfect english and was super knowledgeable. She ended up showing us a lot of local art and gave us a ton of information about the history of Quito. Oh yeah the food... we ate at places that I for sure outside of the tourist area and outside my comfort area. Every spot the people were super friendly and everything was delicious. If you have a short stop over in Quito before or after your Galapagos trip, definitely book this tour. You will get the most out of your time in Quito if you do.

Was very impressed by the all the positive reviews but cancelled my reservations for 6 immediately because of their deceptive billing practices. Their website clearly states RESERVE NOW and PAY LATER. They do require a credit card but only to charge $1 to assure validity of the card. I was shocked and felt deceived when I was charged for the full tour cost at time of reservation. All online purchases usually have a final page clearly stating how much your credit card was being charged to give you time to correct any errors or even cancel. They had none of this. I immediately called to cancel my tour. The company rep profusely apologized for the error stating it was a technical problem of their system. You be the judge. No complaint about the tour since I never made it but just want warn of you of this deceptive business practice.

Natalia was a great guide. She shared insights about Quito’s food, history and current life. She brought us to places we could not have found ourselves, where locals go for lunch during their work days. Food was delicious and there was lots of it. The final stop at the small art gallery was a great unexpected plus.

This tour and especially our wonderful guide Daniela was excellent. Such a fantastic introduction to Quito city. I can’t recommend this tour enough. We feel we have made the most of our limited time here and have learnt so much and enjoyed so many amazing local food and drinks. If you are coming to Ecuador don’t miss this experience. Also to note we felt completely safe and it seems the media has exaggerated the situation here. Tourist numbers are down so come and help Quito and it’s lovely people.

This was perhaps the best food tour I have ever been on during a vacation. What I really loved was the guide talk not only about the food but also about the culture of Quito and Ecuador broadley. I had so many things that I never had before. I also appreciated the guide's spontaneity when one business was closed. I highly recommend that you go on this food tour above others. And go with a friend because it is a lot of food!

Best foodie tour! A must-do experience in Quito. Do this tour first to gain a better grasp of the city’s vibe. Daniella was an amazing guide for the trip. It’s a well thought out food tour with a ton of food to try (fruits, juices, soups, plates….loads) but a good amount of walking and seeing the neighborhoods while digesting between stops. If the walking is too much you can jump into a car no problem. I would recommend this at the beginning of your stay in Quito especially so you have time to have your favorites again!

I can't say enough about what a great tour with had with Santiago ("Santi')! We started with the most incredible fresh pressed juices and sugar cane at a tiny hole in the wall storefront that we never could have found on our own. Then we spent the next 3 hours walking through three quiet neighborhoods in Quito and stopping in a variety of places where we didn't see any tourists - just locals. Santi knew all the proprietors and they gave us amazing service. We had a delicious pork meal, crispy fresh potato chips and empanadas, exotic fresh fruits and smoothies, traditional seafood soup and finished the day with local chocolates and beverages. Walking between neighborhoods helped re-build an appetite between stops. All the while, Santi shared insights about foods and associated traditions along with local architecture, history, politics, and street art. His English is perfect, even though we did most of the tour in Spanish because we wanted to practice. An unforgettable experience. Highly recommend Santi!

The experience was amazing. The Bondabu team have really got it together and really what it's all about ! They took us to eat delicious food whilst giving us a cultural immersion into the history of street food and of Ecuadorian culture itself. I am from Quito and they took us to little joints and parts of town I've never been in my whole life. I was pleasantly surprised. At the end my belly was really happy and I would definitely do it again with friends and family also.

My family and I had a great time doing the street food tour with Natalia. Natalia was very knowledgable about the food, culture and people of Quito and gave us a terrific sampling of different areas and types of food custom to Equador. She provided us with great ideas for what else to do while in Quito and shared her love for the area. I highly recommend the tour - but be forewarned - there is alot of food provided! Come hungry.

The reviews for this tour are not over rated. This was an amazing experience. Our guide was Santiago and he was great. We had food we would never have tried in places we would never have found on our own. Learning about Quitos different neighborhoods was fantastic. Do this tour, you won’t regret it.

This was a great tour with Santiago. He knew local recent history, art, and food. One of my favorite food tours. The only "downside" is that none of the food we have had afterwards has been as good. We went on the tour our first day here. I highly recommend this tour.

We hesitated to sign up for this tour due to the cost, but in the end were glad to have had this experience with our guides Ernesto and Santiago. We got to try many different Ecuadorian foods in a variety of markets and locations that were certainly not on the tourist circuit, taking us outside the historic center of town into neighborhoods we would never have considered on our own. It made for a delicious fulfilling eating experience and was quite informative about art, culture and Ecuadorian society today. This tour was the highlight of our four days in Quito.
