The Independent monument and the bus station were the highlights. It was an emotional and humbling experience walking through the slums.

Steve’s walking tour was amazing! I’ve been to Kampala a few times and wanted a tour to take me to spots I haven’t yet been and this one did just that! Steve is very knowledge and makes you feel very comfortable the entire time. I went with a friend but would definitely feel comfortable as a solo female traveler booking with Steve. Ben was the tour guide I had and he was amazing. Very knowledgeable and really friendly. By joining this tour, I learnt a lot about the history of this city as well as the culture of the different areas.

We did a walking tour of Kampala with Ben and had a wonderful day. Ben was an amazing guide, very knowledgeable of the city, its history and answered all our questions. He took his time during our tour and let us know we can take as long as we wanted which lead to a fun and adventurous day. During the tour, we stopped for lunch together overlooking the Taxi Park, a delicious restaurant with a great view. The tour gave us a better idea of what life is like in Kampala and we went to various places where locals frequent that we would not have thought of visiting on our own. I highly recommend this tour when you visit Kampala.

Diverse and interesting tour that teaches about the history, culture and political aspects of Uganda. We also liked a good mix of touristic and local areas of Kampala. Steve is very knowledgable and experienced guide that will answer any questions you might have on Kampala or Uganda. We enjoyed our time with Steve so much that we ended up doing another tour and gorilla trekking with him and his colleagues.

after a week spent in training rooms, it was good to discover Kampala, the ectic. As well as learning about the history of Uganda and visiting the must-see sites in Kampala, I enjoyed discovering the less 'touristic' places, some of the markets, the taxi rank, etc., until I came face to face with the slums. Very impressive! Steve is very nice, competent and also interested in discovering other cultures. At the end, I was ready for some calm though :-)

Steve is professional and very knowledgeable about Kampala - he was able to answer pretty much any question we had! His tour is very thoughtfully put together, so that one gets a balanced perspective on Kampala. We think a walking tour (particularly with Steve) is the _only_ way to really see Kampala.

Yusuf was an excellent and friendly guide with a lot of knowledge. After these tour I know Kampala so much better. And I always felt never unsafe or uncomfortable at a bit more trouble places.

The tour was excellent. Steve is super professional, he knows a lot, and is also smart and engaging. We walk for around 4 hours, he showed us all of the highlights of the city, sharing the history but also the current context and traditions. He answered all of our (many) questions and guided us through the markets and slum making us feel safe.

He is the best guide he has more knowledge about Kampala , and Uganda I personally enjoyed his tour I highly recommend Steve

How do I start to describe the craziness of the last few hours?! I’m still buzzing with the energy of Kampala. After a long drive back from Hoima we decided to book a walking tour to get under the skin of the city. I expected the usual history and key sights tour, not a full head on immersion into every aspect of the city! We walked over 8KM on the tour. It wasn’t like your typical city tour where you walk from one monument to another. With the exception of the Independence Monument there aren’t many others. There are not a list of “highlights” to go and see. Instead, we walked through the various neighbourhoods and markets that make up Kampala. From the affluent quarter where all the foreign nationals live, to the slums of Katanga. From hectic food markets, to touristy craft centres. We walked on and on absorbing the hustle and bustle of this chaotic city. I LOVED it!!! And Steve was the best guide we could have asked for!

Had such a fun time getting to feel the pulse of Kampala! Saw a lot of the “organised chaos” as Steven calls it! Be prepared for a lot of walking, which is great to get a sense of the entire city in my opinion. Steven was an awesome guide! Highly recommended.

I really enjoyed my tour. It was a well paced tour with a great itinerary and I learnt a lot from Steve's commentary as we went along. Steve was very nice and personable, and even helped me sort an issue with my uber and waited with me until it was enroute. Would definitely recommend.

A must if you want to experience the real side of Kampala. Our guide Ben had great stories that made it a bit more personal as well.

I have done the walking tour of Kampala City with Steve on June 2nd, 2023. Steve is on time and super nice: he is extremely knowledgeable about the city and also about the different aspects of the country. We feel very safe with him. The tour is good because you have to walk a lot and it makes you discovering several parts of the city center. It's quite a pleasant and instructive experience.
