We met Josko at the entrance to the palace and decided to try his tour rather than a recorded tour we had with us. Good choice! Josko was real knowledgeable, lots of fun and made the experience real. Learning from someone who has lived in Split all his life was perfect. Highly recommended.

Josko was a phenomenal guide. He is a super knowledgeable and explained everything in a great way. I have been on many tours in the past and he was probably the best tour guide I’ve ever had.

The walking tour with Josko was amazing! We stayed at the palace for a few days and doing the tour gave us so much information and insight into the history of the palace and Split. Highly recommend doing this tour while in Split! He also got some great photos of us! :)

Wow. What a wonderful experience for my first time in Croatia and Split. For the local knowledge of the city, you need a fun loving guide like Josko! He kept his word and had us fall in love with the city by the end of our tour. He even helped us find our room within Dionysus Castle, because it is truly a maze, gave great recommendations for restaurants for local food, and helped us set up our ferry to Hvar the next day. Such a nice person. If you enjoy history, good energy, laughs, and advice on what else to do in town, then you will not be disappointed. We will book again next time in Split! Hvala Josko!

Our tour guide was exceptional. His knowledge added a great deal to our understanding of the history and customs of Dalmatia. His fee was money well spent and we highly recommend the tour. Be sure to ask him for his "fun facts".

Josko is a guide for the ages. He has studied and devoted his life to knowing and sharing the secrets of Croatia’s history, bringing it to life as he guides you through the myriad changes over the centuries. He is fun and fact-filled. We learned later he is also a fabulous singer, so encourage him to set the castle to song as he guides you on a fantastic view of the area of Split encompassing the Diocletian era. Highly recommend Josko!

We loved the tour we went on today with Jo. He is so personable and knowledgeable about Split and Diocletian’s Palace having grown up In the area. He took his time walking us through and stopped to give us detailed explanations of what we were looking at. He pointed out so many things we would not have noticed on our own including lord of fun facts! Without him, we wouldn’t have had half the experience that we did. Highly recommend him as a guide!! Our guide Joseph was everything one would want in a guide. Friendly, funny considerate and very knowledgeable. The 1.5 hour tour stretched to 2.5 hours and we loved every minute of it. Even treated us to some chocolate. His little tidbits about how capers grow and what carab seeds weigh were priceless.
