A fantastic experience our guide was great a lovely person who made the trip special. You get a snow suit, gloves and helmet we shared a snowmobile and swooped drives part way though.

We had a wonderful time riding through the pristine landscape of Finnsmarksvidda. Really beautiful landscape and even the changeable weather from snow to bright sunshine to cloudy skies made the ride even more interesting. Thank you to Stig, our guide, for a fantastic excursion.

This was a wonderful tour! Steg took great care of us and showed us great scenery and a very fun day! We had some snow, some sunshine and some wind but they just added to the experience!

While we were definitely the oldest couple in the group and we had never been on a snowmobile before, my husband found it easier than he anticipated to drive. Sig was very attentive to the group, always making sure everyone was following and had no trouble. We were provided with very warm gear so there was no getting cold. He led us to a frozen lake and eventually to the plateau. The scenery was gorgeous! I highly recommend this tour.

Stig was amazing - very knowledgeable, kind and patient. We quickly learned how to drive a snowmobile under his guidance. Trail was breathtaking. Definitely recommend!.

Lovely tour to Finnmarskidda plateau. Too windy to progrees throughout th plateau in such bad and harsh conditions, so the guide decided to detour to forested area where we could enjoy riding the snowmobiles.

It was just amazing! You get nice warm clothes (jacket, pants, shoes + socks, gloves, helmet..) and the tour guide is super friendly and does a great job! He will explain a lot about the area and people. Driving the snowmobile was also a lot of fun. We booked single driver and it was very nice to drive your own snowmobile the whole tour. The tour itself provides you with stunning views about the Finnmarksvidda plateau and Alta area. Would highly recommend!

The snowmobile safari with Stig was one of the best trips we have done. Stig was very kind and talked a lot about life in norway. The whole safari was pretty long but was never boring. The landscape of the Finnmarksvidda is amazing and the snowmobile were in a good condition. It was so much fun. We will do it again when coming back to Alta!

Stig is an amazing guide! Not only did we do the entire route and got some amazing historical information on the Sami but he even took some time to show us Alta canyon. Definitely a strongly recommended trip.

Alta Adventures gave my friend and I a spectacular day out to the high mountain plateau on snowmobiles. Neither of us had ever been on one and I was a little anxious, but it was a glorious experience. We got so far away from everything and rode across frozen lakes and sparkiling whitle tundra to a Sami camp. There we had coffee with waffles doused in cloudberries, cream and cheese. We were able to share trails with mushers and take in the true beauty of Finnmark. There were a few stops for photos making it a perfect day out. They fitted us in jackets, boots, gloves and helmets--so no need to worry about gear. Stig and Diamela were excellent hosts and completed the experience with photos and a video. I highly recommend this excursion to anyone!

This is the best trip we’ve ever done. If you do any trip in Alta book this. Stig the owner and Stein his assistant were excellent, gave very good instructions on how to drive the Snowmobiles. They were very easy to use, with heated hand and thumb grips. Provided excellent clothing, gloves, helmets and boots. Gave us a briefing where we were visiting, showing us on maps where we were travelling to and explained the topography. Stopped several times to show us a Sami summer camp and a very beautiful canyon, I believe the deepest in Norway? and a frozen river. I cannot describe the absolute beauty, it is stunning. We were blessed with a beautiful cold, clear sunny day. We drove onto an high mountain plateau, over a frozen lake, watching folks Ice Fishing. We went to a cabin for hot drinks and beautiful waffles, with jam, cream and cheese. The drive was 30km each way, absolutely unbelievable beauty. This trip is stunning, don’t be put off driving the Snow Mobile, it’s easy, you start of very slowly.

Stig was an amazing guide, leader, and teacher for 3 never-before snowmobilers. We had a perfect day driving through forests, fields, and across frozen lakes to a remote hut for coffee and treats. Our hostess was charming as was everyone we met through this amazing journey. We highly recommend this trip with Stig, who owns Alta Adventures.

A very cool adventure on the snowscooter. My friend and I were the only ones on the trip, so Stig even went on a little detour to show us Alta river valley. He told us a bit about Norwegian and Sami culture, and we had a great time. Would absolutely recommend.

We had an awesome trip with Stig! After pickup and suiting up in a warm jacket, pants and boots we went to the scooters. We started slowly, getting accustomed to the scooters. After a while we sped up and we were racing!

This is one of the best snowmobile tours I have ever had the pleasure to do. Yes the Finnmarksvidda plateau is spectacular, yes the sceneries are breathtaking but most important élu it is the way the whole is organized and tun. It is a family business and it felt like a private tour even though we were 7. We were first greeted by the lovely Diamela that helped us get into our gear. We felt already like home with her. Stig our guide for the day exceeded our expectations. He run his tour with passion. He stopped along the way to allow us to take photo and explain a lot of things related to the Sami culture and the surrounding sceneries. The coffee break mid tour was great. We have a really nice and informative discussion. Felt like talking to a friend. I won’t make spoilers here but Stig went the extra mile and did what no other snowmobile guide would do to make the moment memorable. I can’t really recommend enough!!!! Got for it! You won’t regret. What we regretted is not booking the aurora tour with them. That must have been spectacular in a secret place only them know. Thanks again Diamela and Stig!!!! You made us want to come back again to Alta… see you soon hopefully

Nice place to drive a snow mobile. Amazing views during the ride. And it was nice to see how the sami’s live. Our guide was really kind.

Terrific guide and tour. Picked up from cruise terminal, fitted out with necessary clothing, easy instructions and directions. Terrific scenery and well maintained snowmobiles. Couldn’t have asked for more. Would highly recommend to any age traveller as we are in our late 60’s. Well done stig!!
