Grace and Dylan were excellent in-water guide and boat Captain. They answered our questions, explained aspects of manatee baiology and natural history of the rehion, and took us to several points of interest.

It was wonderful. The best up close and personal experience with Manatees you could ever wish for. Hina & Dylan were great, very personal & passionate about the animals and their habitat. I'd do this again a million times!!!

We were on holiday from the U.K. and for as long as I could remember I’ve always wanted to see Manatees! Jake and Jayden made us feel very welcome. We were kitted out with a wet suit (optional), mask, snorkel and pool noodle. It didn’t take long to find a mum and calf. It was a privilege to spend a moment with these gentle giants. The visibility wasn’t the clearest (it’s a river after all!) but we were able to get pretty close and watch them feed and interact with each other. Jayden took photos with a go pro and documented it. Manatees are pretty special! Jake also took us to one of the Springs and showed us an Osprey nest on one of the Manatee signs. Jake the “Ray of sunshine” from Missouri was funny and informative. It was just the 3 of my family members as opposed to other larger groups that we saw out there. Overall a great experience!

This was an incredible experience! Our guide, Heena, was super knowledgeable, and taught us a ton about the manatees. When we got into the water, Heena ensured that we got the best experience while feeling safe as it was our first time. Seeing the manatees up close was breathtaking. Our boat captain, Delan, made sure to check every spot to sight the wild manatees and got us to an area where we could swim with them. They gave us a great experience and would definitely recommend them and would come back again.

Let me start with the most important advice: do not book with a third party operator like TripAdvisor. Not that TripAdvisor is a bad site, but it is a bad third party partner as we could easily book with Nature's Discovery Manatee Tours on the 10 'o clock party but it was already fully booked. So, I recommend to find the tour you want via TripAdvisor but to make sure to book through the original operator by accessing, for example, Nature's own website to check if they have spots available. As we arrived, the system did not show our names, a party of four men. However, Nature's Discovery Manatee Tours did a tremendous job in getting us on the tour with a befriended tour operator. Fun2Dive was only a few miles around the block and took us in right away. Also they gave the same feedback about the bookings issue from third party providers. Fun2Dive gave us two options: a flight of twelve at 10 'o clock and one of six at 10.30. We took the latter which was absolutely the better choice. We had not that much of manatees in the vicinity (only one), so floating with six people around a manatee may not be possible. Rest assured that the guide will take everybody into consideration to get the best position possible to see the manatee while snorkling. Talking about the guide, it is all what you can expect from them. The guides are very enthousiastic and compasionate people and all about preserving the wildlife, including the manatees, while also making sure you have a fun time. They have good knowledge about the habits of the manatees. All in all, a very enjoyable swimming and snorkling tour with the manatees. However, be sure to book directly with the service provider instead of websites like these to ensure your spot on the next fare.

This excursion was amazing!! Hina and Dylan were excellent guides. The swimming with the manatees was an experience like no other. I would definitely use them again if we come back. If you have any hesitations on booking this…don’t!! You’ll love it!!

We played with a baby manatee for what seemed like forever!! Hugging, kissing, trying to eat out of our hand! Dylan and Jaden were AWESOME! Such a wonderful experience!

Our guides were very friendly and knowledgeable. They spotted the manatees right away. We got to swim with them for a long time and then got to see some crystal clear springs. Also the photos came out great. It was a really good time!

Are you feeling overwhelmed by the sheer number of choices for manatee tours? Well, look no further; Nature’s Discovery Manatee Tours is top notch. Our boat captain, Dylan, was super knowledgeable about manatees and the local flora and fauna and found manatees within minutes of leaving the dock. And, he magically, and safely, kept the boat nearby, seemingly without making any noise and without spooking the manatees. Our water guide, Dylan, was great too. He guided us through the canals and kept us on pace to float and swim with a mama and calf (with an occasional visit from a 3rd manatee) for nearly 2 hours; snapping photos of us and the manatees along the way. And, since we were the first boat on the manatees, early in the morning, we had them all to ourselves for the first hour. I can’t say enough good things about this tour operator. Everything went smoothly, Dylan and Jaden were easy going, efficient, knowledgeable, and professional; and, clearly, they have great manatee karma!! If you are concerned that you won’t see manatees this time of year, don’t worry; these guys will find the gentle giants for you. If possible, book the first tour of the day. The water will be clearer, the manatees move slower in the morning (before the water warms up), and you won’t have to share the manatees with 500 other swimmers and kayakers!

Definitely a must do experience if you are anywhere near Crystal River! We swam with 5 different manatees including a baby! Hina did a great job helping us find and stay with them- be prepared to swim, manatees are faster than they look!

The tour turned out to be everything it advertised and more. Highly recommend. Extremely knowledgeable and super friendly guides. Truly in good hands.

Planning the family trip this year I came across manatee snorkeling in Florida. I had my wife and 2 daughters aged 5 and 3 so this was perfect. Everyone was excited to swim with the manatees but none of us could’ve predicted how amazing it would be. These gentile giants stayed so close and weren’t alarmed when we accidentally brushed up against them while snorkeling. It’s hard to really say how this felt but This was one of the most extraordinary experiences of my lifetime.

We had an unintentional private tour. Dulan was a great captain! He was in close contact with other captains to find out where the manatees were hanging out to maximise our time with them. Hina was so personable and knowledgable! She set all of the appropriate expectations while giving us a great deep dive into the manatees’ habits and the bay in general. She also did a great job keeping us calm and coaching us on what to do as the manatees approached. She read all of the animal’s queues and was able to get us n some really amazing “nose up” shots. Really a top notch team that knows their stuff! Highly recommend!!
