Annelie was amazing! She was more than a tour guide -- someone with deep interest and knowledge about Vienna from both an academic and lived experience. We've been on a lot of tours over the years, and this was hands down one we will not forget. The little touches -- playing music of Mozart and Haydn, tasting Sisi's favorite candies, stopping for a Viennese snack that you wouldn't find in an ordinary guidebook – set it apart. Bonus points for not cutting any corners even in the terrible rain and wind. The small tour size was well worth the cost. Don't think twice about booking!

Billie was a fun and helpful guide. Turns out my wife and I were her only guests in this slot so she gave us 100% attention. We saw the Hofburg, St Stephen’s cathedral, and art deco buildings. She also showed us alternative cafes to get sacher torte without lining up at the overrated Sacher Hotel. Plus gave tips on where we can get good schnitzel and sausages. We would have loved to also visit the city hall, parliament and plague column, and would’ve wanted to see the Holy Lance but these weren’t part of the itinerary. For a purely walking tour, this was too expensive at $125 per person. Maybe opt for the cheaper big group tour.

Our tour guide, Katarina, was a very informative and professional person. She took extra time to answer all of our questions so we could learn more of Vienna’s history. Knowledgeable also of world affairs. She was calm while being challenged by a person in the public domain. She did not let the rude interruption derail the rest of our tour. We would recommend her to everyone!!

This was an intense walking tour with lots of information. Our guide was very informed and kept us moving throughout the downtown and I would highly recommend. We were a group of two families and by a happy coincidence their son is attending the university that my son will be attending next year.

Wolfgang was a delightful and engaging guide. My daughter and I had the good fortune of being the only people in the group, so he accommodated our interests in art and some sites that most tourists would not see. We were even able to work around a thunderstorm by learning a bit more in one of the cathedrals we (intentionally, but in a timely way) ducked into, and stayed out of the hour's worth of rain with a few other covered stops. I would recommend Wolfgang as a tour guide to anyone - he was a wonderful host to the city of Vienna!

Wolfgang, our tour guide, walked us through less touristic walked paths. The walk and his very good knowledge of the history as well as the architecture of Vienna made this a very enjoyable tour. I would recommend to do this tour on the first day of your visit to Vienna to get a good overview of the city and its history.

We were thrilled to have Katarina as our guide on this tour as she was also our private guide at Schonbrunn Palace. She was so knowledgable about the history of Vienna, taking us to the main tourist spots but also to some places off the beaten track. We had previously taken this tour in 2019 with Katarina and love it so much we took the same tour again to reacquaint ourselves with the city in 2023. Katarina is the quintessential professional (and officially registered with the city!), an expert at giving a 3-hour walking tour of Vienna - covering the history of Austria (both historical and cultural) as well as the major sights and architecture of the city. She highly encouraged questions and was happy to give recommendations. It is expensive, but worth it for the small group experience and the knowledge!

Annelie was very knowledgeable on the history of Vienna and was able to customize the tour based on our main areas of interest. We had already been in Vienna for a few days and therefore preferred not to see all the usual attractions, but instead learn about these places in more detail.. We especially enjoyed the “hidden passages” with a history which you would not normally learn about.

We had a tour with Katarina during a short break in Vienna. The weather was kind to us with bright sunshine which just helped to make the experience all the more wonderful. Katarina was incredibly well informed on the history of Vienna, she was easy to understand and hear and led us on a delightful tour of the palace and city. We found the tour to be a great way to get some of the fascinating history while helping us find our bearings in the city. We highly recommend the tour and you would not be disappointed with Katarina as your guide.

We did a walking history tour of Vienna with Suzanne. She is one of the best educated, knowledgeable guides I have ever had. Her expertise is clearly architecture but she used the architecture as a jumping off point for more general historical information. After a brief consultation she also quickly developed a tour that met our particular needs and interests. We learned so much - she really brought the city and its architecture alive. I highly recommend this to anyone who is looking to get more than the superficial overview that is often provided by large group tours.
