We took a small group tour with Lelo around Pompeii. He was charismatic, informative and entertaining. His stories brought the archeological site to life for us. His depth of knowledge, passion and personality captured the attention of three generations of our family - granda, mam and 13-year old boy. If we had another day in Pompeii we would have happily listened to him some more. Highly recommend.

We did not realize just how vast Pomei is until we climbed the stairs toward the church; the view was stunning. Our guide, Italo, was knowledgeable & humerous. He provided detailed information & took us to the main points of interest.

Our tour with Rossana was informative and engaging, and included parts of Pompeii that I had not seen on a previous visit--when I went on a tour with the same company led by Lello! Both Rossana and Lello were excellent guides, and shared so much wonderful information with us. Both of my tours were on weekdays in March, and had very small groups (6 people total in 2023, 4 people in 2024), which made it very easy to maintain conversation while navigating through small spaces. Put simply, you must book Lello if touring Pompeii. From the moment we arrived, Lello was warm, inviting and funny. He had memorised all of our names and tailored the tour specifically to what we wanted to see the most. He engaged our two teenage daughters and they both keenly awaited his next point - no mean feat. His archeological experience was clearly evident and dramatically enriched the tour. Our tour of Pompeii with Lello exceeded all our expectations. Lello gave a fantastic and insightful tour of the site which was informative, fun and made this the highlight of our holiday. The tour was amazing and the guide even better. We enjoyed every moment of our tour. The guide was very knowledgeable and we learned a ton. Could not have been better.

Really well informed tour that is the correct length of time and paced really well to cover the key sights of Pompeii. Guide was clearly understood through the head sets and points out what to do if you have time after the tour and do not want to leave the site. Meeting point easy to find but there are a lot of guides converging at the same time, so arrive 15 to 30 mins beforehand.

My fiancé booked this tour about a month before our cruise. I was apprehensive as it is costs significantly more then the ticket price or the large group tour. I can say it was without a doubt worth every dollar! Lello was amazing. The tour group is very well organized and on time. Meeting spot is easy and he is very prepared. He’s not a kid doing a summer job but a skilled archeologist! Not only is he smart as hell he is wicked funny. This might be one of the top three tours I have ever done. It is a three plus hour history lesson and he gets everyone involved in the small group. This is a must for Pompei! He had others come up to him during our tour that were not in the group and started asking questions. He was hilarious, and told one gal to throw the walking head set in the garbage and go buy a tour. Others were obviously listening to his lecture and enjoying the show. I just can’t say enough about this tour. You can not get the full experience without the guide….you will miss 80% of it. If you’re thinking, it’s a lot of money….its not! Just book it! You won’t regret it.
