A worthwhile tour to do when in Munich. Alun has extensive subject matter knowledge and is a highly engaging guide.

Great experience. Alun was extremely knowledgeable and personable. We learned a tremendous amount of history in an easy, understandable way. He showed us the sights in a way that brought them to life.

A most informative tour by a most knowledgeable guide. He was extremely pleasant, animated and appropriately sensitive to the subject matter. A dark. In world history that came alive in the telling.

Alum gave a great, highly knowledgeable tour of a difficult topic. He was enthusiastic, on occasion witty, and showed us important sites and placed them in a historical context. It was superb.

Alun provided a comprehensive explanation of how Munich gave birth to the National Socialist movement and its important landmarks. Without that knowledge it would be difficult to stand in the footsteps of history since the landmarks are generally not identified in any way. If you like history this tour is well worth the time.

Would definitly recommend the tour was so informative and very interesting less know facts he made sure we were always comfortable and even went off topic to discuss other things that came up along the way he was friendly and professional even helping us to buy tickets for the journey back to where we needed to be

Perfect way to spend a few hours in Munich. Got to see the buildings where the Nazi's were born: Hitler's first public stand, SS first public gathering, Hitler's office, and many other interesting pieces along the way. Allun was an excellent tour guide. Not only did he provide some interesting stories you may never have heard from Hitler's reign, but also made you consider different perspectives along the way on what led to this reign of terror. Insightful, thought provoking, and also a great opportunity to see the city of Munich.

When taking tours in foreign lands, it is equally as important to find a great guide as it is a tour. For the man that leads this tour, Alun, as a guide, as a leader, as a man, and as a friend, he is of the highest kind, quality, and order. Supreme, Superlative and honorable. With family blood invested, and nearly 20 years of experience, he is second to none.

As an often independent traveler, the thought of guided tours was something that didn’t appeal to me until I got to Munich and really wanted to see some of the city’s history related to the Nazi Party and the Third Reich. After seeing good reviews for Alun’s tours online - I decided to take a chance and book his afternoon walking tour - and it was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made while traveling. I ended up getting a private tour with just myself and Alun and it was fascinating. He really knows his stuff, is prepared for all questions, handles sensitive topics in a discrete manor and was just a joy to chat with. I would recommend his tours to anyone visiting Munich and I’m disappointed I didn’t book a Dachau tour with him as well. Thanks to Alun, I’m going to be a guided tour person from now on, though I’m not sure any could be as good!

My husband and I signed up for the small-group Third Reich Walking Tour and it ended up being just us so it was perfect! Alun was prompt, extremely informative and engaging, and clearly knew his subject matter. The pictures he brought along of the various sites as they were during the Third Reich added so much to the tour. Really glad we did this tour. Highly recommended!

A fascinating small group tour, where it was just my husband and myself so no straining to hear Alun explain, then point out sights that made it easy to understand a period of history that to us today seems so extreme. We were able to ask any question on the topic and Alun would give a straight answer. He is sensitive to the locals lack of comfort with the subject and made sure when showing photos he did it discreetly. We would recommend 100% and we have done 45 years of tours.

Alun was an absolute pleasure. He had the logistics of this tour down perfectly. He knew exactly what time and even where to stand for the train and bus. The tour was powerful. Alun brought the history to life both during the Dachau and Third Reich tours. I learned so much more than I already knew, and I’m a World War II history buff. It was a lot of walking, and it was totally worth it. I can not recommend Alun enough.

Alun was an awesome tour guide. We have been traveling in several different cities and taken many other tours and none compare. He is so knowledgeable and respectful of a sensitive topic. We learned so much we wished we had done this our first day in Munich because it would have enhanced our trip. We felt that he had truly perfected this tour. We also loved the small group size. Please don't be put off my the Third Reich part, we learn so much about buildings and places that we had previously just walked pass, Alun really knew his stuff, would differently recommend.
