Private tour is the way to go! We learned so much more and enjoyed the Austrian History. Our guide, Ewald, was top notch. He kept us on time and filled the time with much history. I highly recommend.

We learnt so much and made the right choice to have a private tour of the palace, with only having 2 days in Vienna we could only do one of the palaces as we had so much else booked in. We had a lovely tour of all 40 rooms of Schonbrunn. Alex is a good tour guide, especially if you want to consider the stage, theater and design parts of all the rooms. I would have preferred to have read a few of the placards and learned a few more of the general stories about the Hapsburgs. Alex also shared many stories of their humanity and personal proclivities that were very behind the scenes adding another dimension to what we think and how we saw them.

Ute was our guide and showed us round the Palace with a very well informed and interesting talk. We explored all the rooms and ventured outside into the gardens even though it was very cold. I had been to Schonbrunn before but I can honestly say I learnt a lot more on this visit.

Alex was a fantastic guide. He knows the history and brought it to life with a special focus on the key Hapsburg personalities and their fascinating stories. He also has a passion for art and design which allowed us to fully appreciate what we were seeing both inside the palace and in the gardens.

The weather at the time of our visit was chilly and rainy but the guided tour of the palace was great. The guide was very knowledgeable and spoke good English. Love the skip the line process, entrance was a breeze. The palace was amazing. It reminded me of the Versailles Palace in France with its architecture, paintings, and overall design. The guide took us to several rooms and explained in detail the history. The palace and garden is huge and will take some time to tour. We spent most of our time in the palace but got a chance to tour the garden also on our own. Highly recommend taking the tour.

This was a great tour. We had Romana as our guide - her knowledge of the history ofSchonbrunn Palace and the Habsburgs was extensive. We learned a lot from her - it was worth having a private guide to learn about the history of the palace and guide us through the rooms and gardens.

My guide, Robert, was excellent. He was waiting for me upon my arrival He escorted me through the rooms, pointing out details such as decoration including incredible wall panels such as those in the Millions Room which were stored during WW II in Salzburg's salt mines, the beautiful chandeliers one of which is gold and extremely heavy, the paintings such as those in the Carousel Room and especially in the Hall of Ceremonies., the ceiling frescoes in the Great Gallery, even the handmade oak tiles in the entrance. He just brought everything to life: how royalty lived and the world they saw , including the Gloriette which not only provided a focal point when looking from the palace out over the gardens but also suggested a monument to war and conquest, sculptures of antiquity suggestive of the long lineage of the Habsburgs even back to the Romans so as to cement in people's minds , their power and prestige. Details such as Thomas Edison's visit to the palace to install electricity. We walked in the beautiful grounds and Robert offered to show me much more but I'm older and had to pace myself for numerous tours in the following days. I very much regret that I didn't visit the Gloriette and strongly suggest doing so. There was just so much more to see and Robert was a great guide to see it with.

Our tour was excellent. We quickly and efficiently moved through other large tour groups to visit the palace and its gardens. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and kind. Our driver was on time. Would highly recommend.

Klaudia was an amazing and knowledgeable tour provider. My daughter and I were met at the Schonbrunn palace. She guided us through the palace tour, had so much knowledge of the history and the Hapsburg family line. She then spent time strolling the beautiful gardens, and answering our questions on the gardens and life in Vienna. We loved her tour.

Great tour and guide!!! Guide was very knowledgeable about the location, history palace. Being able to ask questions and have a tour tailored to our personnel interests was well worth the price. While the palace was crowded, we never felt rushed or herded around and could spend more of less time in a location as we wanted. While the zoo and Carriage Museum are not part of this tour, they are both worth visiting.

Schonbrunn Palace is stunning beautiful Palace and gardens. Our tour guide Alexandra is very nice, has a great knowledge of the history and gave us details of the each Schonbrunn Palace room decoration, picture, furniture and materials of the room.
