Paola was prompt in meeting us and a great tour guide for the Vatican. Of course, this is an extremely crowded venue but Paola expertly guided us through the masses and showed us everything we needed to see. I would highly recommend her as a guide. BTW, Carmen (the Booking Manager) runs a terrific outfit. Communications were quick and precise. The time and meeting place was easily found.

10/10. We had a wonderful time. I traveled with my husband and in-laws. Our guide Tommas was everything we could’ve asked for. Kind, courteous, and extremely knowledgeable. He was clearly passionate about art history and happy to answer any questions. We knew booking this private tour would be an investment and we couldn’t be happier.

Francesco did such a great job taking us through the beautiful, majestic, awe-provoking, and also frenetic Vatican Museum, Sistine Chapel, and St. Peter's Basilica. He gave us the perfect amount of backstory so that we were knowledgeable about what we were seeing. He is a funny, kind, welcoming person which made the tour even better. We loved our tour and would recommend it to everyone!

Francesco, our guide, was the best we have ever had. He shared his knowledge of the history not only in an interesting manner but with humor. The tour was so informative and absolutely well worth purchasing. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Francesco was a fantastic tour guide. Incredibly informative, easy to talk to, and gave great recommendations. He pointed out some features to note in the Sistine Chapel (can't talk while in there) and tailored the tour to mine and my husband's interests. The Viator app was helpful in coordinating the tour and helping us get to the meeting point since this was out first time in Rome. I would definitely do this tour again.

An absolutely amazing tour. Francesco was the best tour guide we have ever had in all of our travels. Incredibly knowledgeable, he gave us great background and some things to pay attention to in the Sistine Chapel, he pointed out tons of interesting features throughout the tour of the museum and Basilica, and he was really easy to talk to and engaging. I highly recommend this tour and would definitely do it again. Expensive, but well worth the money.

Unbelievable, outstanding, excellent!!! Thomas, the blonde from Siena, our guide was incredible! He is an archeologist and a professor at a local university. He was knowledgeable, helpful, prompt, kind and fun to be around. We skipped thru a long line of other visitors and went through the entire tour at ease. This was the best money I have spent on a private tour anywhere in Europe!

To cover all sights in the Vatican is next to impossible but our guide made it seamless showing us around the most important places and providing a lot of information.

Massive congestion, you are herded through like cattle, ridiculous queues. The Sistine Chapel is jammec full, you hardly see any of the museum contents. The whole thing is a racket for the Vatican and tour guide firms to make money. Go visit St Pauls fuori le mure or Santa Maria Maggiore or Santa Maria sopra Minerva. St Peter's basilica is worth seeing but not worth a 2 hour queue

This is the second Italy trip that I used Private Tours of Rome. The first was 7yrs ago and the quality of their guides hasn’t changed. Sara was knowledgeable patient and friendly. She reads her audience well and curated the tour to both the Vatican and Colosseum perfectly.

Our guide Claudia was excellent. She had great knowledge of history and helped to bring everything to life for us. The Vatican is enormous and Claudia made sure that we focused on highlights and made good use of our time. With our guide we were able to go straight from the Sistine Chapel into Saint Peter’s. This saved a huge amount of walking and waiting.

Excellent experience. The tour guide was very attentive and provided rich and accessible information to my family and I. He speaks a fluent English and is passionate about the subject. The Vatican Museum is one of the most incredible art experiences in the World and the guide was able to communicate important concepts in depth and without rushing. I strongly recommend

Annalisa was a fabulous guide for this tour, so engaging and informative, with command of the history and a great sense of humor. We enjoyed her, all the historic and beautiful sights at the Vatican, and especially the secret rooms. Even after a very full and informative four hours, we had barely scratched the surface of all the history contained within the Vatican walls, so we look forward to returning. And again, can’t say enough good things about AnnaLisa!

This was okay. Not great. There are NO skip the lines for the Vatican. It was packed. Our guide was good but a massive tip would be to have the private ear buds. There were so many times I couldn’t hear what he was saying or when we were standing in line he could have shared more about what we were seeing. I felt like I wasted half a day. On a side note, the guards and all the people associated with Vatican City are very unkind and rude. To wrap up - enjoyed our tour guide, would definitely take a tour with him - but would skip the Vatican all together.

Tour of the Vatican Museum, Sistine Chapel, and St Peter’s Basilica left me speechless. The entire experience was the highlight of my trip. Guide Claudia, a true Roman, was outstanding. Her knowledge was only surpassed by her passion. Fabulous tour!

Claudia provided an excellent overview of the Vatican, Sistine chapel and St. Peter’s cathedral! It was especially nice to skip the lines and crowds, where possible, which made the experience more enjoyable. Doing the private tour is a must for a special experience.
