Skip-the-Line City Tour with Uffizi & Accademia Gallery

Discover the magic of Florence in a single day on a tour that combines the city’s top sites with priority admission to the Accademia and Uffizi galleries. Skip the long lines to see masterpieces such as Michelangelo’s David and Botticelli’s Birth of Venus.

Your full-day tour begins with skip-the-line admission to the Accademia Gallery*, where the highlights include Michelangelo’s unfinished statues The Slaves and his magnificent 17-foot marble masterpiece, David.

After your visit to the Accademia you will break for lunch. Afterwards meet back up with your guide for a guided walking tour of the best-known sites in the center of Florence, including the Porcellino, Ponte Vecchio, and the San Lorenzo leather market. See the interior of the imposing Duomo as well.

Take a break to relax and enjoy lunch before your afternoon skip-the-line tour of the Uffizi Gallery.

At the Uffizi you’ll see major works by Botticelli, including the Birth of Venus and Primavera, and signature works of Italian masters including Michelangelo and da Vinci. Your expert guide will tell you about the lives of the artists, architects, and wealthy patrons that contributed to the Gallery’s development. The visit concludes at the rooftop terrace, where you’ll have lovely views of the city center.

Good tour overall
Both the guides were very knowledgeable and excellent. The tour price was costly because they did not take us to the duomo or give us entry tickets to do it on our own.

Good
The tour guides were informative but the Academia tour did not work very well because the museum was very crowded. As a result, we had to wait for 45 minutes in que despite it being named "skip the line" and had also cut the actual visit time short by half.

Well worth it!
The extensive degree of knowledge of the guides (they must follow a very rigurous course of study) provide an amazing wealth of information that puts this city's story in context.

A great way to find out about history of Florentine Art
This was billed as a full day tour of 7.5 hrs. In fact it was a morning tour of 3 hrs and a separate afternoon tour of 2 hrs. Yes a 2 hr break in the middle but wouldn't have thought that was part of it! That being said, the guides were excellent and gave us a whistle stop tour which laid the foundation for a much more in depth look at the art and buildings. Thanks

Wow! Paul Costa is an amazing tour guide.
My daughter & I were kind of upset with our tour guide, Paul Costa, because he ruined every other tour for us! Haha! He was the BEST tour guide ever! He didn't just talk "at" us, but he pulled us all in & made learning fun & interesting. We actually retained much of what he shared with us. Visit him at paul@tuscantourguide.com. If you are lucky enough to have him for a guide you will not be disappointed.

The guides' passion and knowledge makes all the difference!
We learnt so much about Florence in the renaissance age that we could not have known if it wasn't for the guides Agnese and Frederica. I had brought a Rick Steves book along and did some reading before going on tour. All I can say is that they know their history and more. You won't be disappointed if you want to look at some beautiful sights and get a crash course in Florence and Medici 101.
