We had a really knowledgeable tour guide. It was interesting to see and learn about both the eagles and bears. Amazing to see them up close. We also were able to go to the river to see the salmon spawning. The walk through the forest was breath taking. I would recommend this tour.

Our guide/driver was great and very patient & informative! We really enjoyed all three sites but felt that 30 min per stop was not enough time. Even an added 15 minutes at each would have been better.

Mike our wonderful tour guide can’t thank and praise him enough. We were on the Bliss which had computer internet issues on our first port day. We were delayed 25 min disembarking because our key cards were not working. Mike delivered all the other tour guests to the park and went out of his way to come back to the pick up area to get us when we finally got there. Awesome. He taught us so much about the area culture and wildlife. He was funny friendly as so gracious. We are very grateful. Thanks. Again. Will def book thru viator again. And yes the tour itself was amazing.

We were on an Alaskan Cruise and had been advised by our Cruise operator to book any of our shore excursions with their recommended tour company which we did for Juneau and Ketchikan but the one we wanted for Sitka was not available so we decided to leave it until we were travelling to see what we could sort. We tried onboard with the Cruise's excursion department but they had nothing available that we had wanted and we didn't want to book anything else just for the sake of having a trip to do - anyhoo on the off chance we might get lucky my husband googled "Sitka Tours" and found this absolute gem that was everything we had wanted in the 1st place (Totem Park, Fortress of the Bears, The Raptor Park and a drive through downtown with a guide) We arrived and found the tour organiser and was assigned to to a guide and a lovely air conned mini bus. Our guide Christian was brilliant and so knowledgeable - we started off at the Totem park and saw the amazing carvings as well as having a wander to the river to see the Salmon spawning. Then as we had time he did a little detour for us to see the old WW2 base and get great views of the city bridge. Next stop up to the Raptor centre which was great and then to the Fortress of the Bears which was my fave by far as had wanted to go there ever since we booked the holiday. The last stop for some great panoramic pictures was Silver Bay then back into town for some explore time before getting back on our ship - we were very lucky as we had amazing weather too. I would highly recommend this tour company do do this trip - they were absolutely great - 10 out of 10

Event was cancelled- they texted house land line instead of cell. Should ask for texting number instead of just phone number. We we looking forward to this excursion- not reliable tour guides.

I had initially planned to take the blue bus to Fortress of the Bear BUT since there were over 7,000 people arriving in port that day, individual travel was banded. Luckily, in front of the Visitor Centre we found Baranof Tours that had openings for small group travel (13 people in a small van). Flo (our guide) was extremely knowledgeable, punctual and very courteous. In 2 hours, we saw salmon spawning in Sitka National Historical Park, visited the Raptor Centre to witness a bald eagle being fed by her trainer and saw brown and black bears at the Fortress of the Bear. All of these places were definitely worth seeing !! The tour was cheaper to book individually than booking through the cruise line. Tip- If you are interested in taking the blue bus, check the cruise port to see how many cruise ships are arriving. Baranof Tours is a great alternative to individual travel.

Salmon spawning in the river was incredible and fantastic close ups of bears and raptors. Also amazing sights of totems. Although the tour was short it packed a lot in. Thanks

Our driver, Flo, was incredible! Her long, rich knowledge and love for Sitka showed throughout the tour. All of our stops were equally wonderful and we would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Sitka!

All of the stops were amazing and very informative. Loved the fact that the sanctuaries can rescue and often rehab these wild animals.

The fortress was amazing our driver made it perfect!! Told us all about the area and stopped off the path to see more salmon… and gave us lots of recommendations for places to see and eat - he was great!

Great exposure for this gret source of Alaska's wildlife and way of life. Low key appoach to insure the experience is on point.

We got to go c the bear, raptor and the salmon at the National Park. I wish we could got more time at each location. Feel like a bit rush. But we still have lots of fun. Price is reasonable.

Baranoff tour of the three things was great. It was 2.5 hours, but Mike (our tour guide) was so good that we would have been happy for the tour to be 4 hours of we had the time. Mike had information to keep the adults interested, as well as my 11 and 15 year old children. He had tons of knowledge and patience with all our questions. Would totally recommend

Our guide Rob was great giving us tons of info about Sitka. We all loved Fortress of the Bear learning a lot about the Black and Brown bears. We thought we were going to miss the tour as the cruise ship was late. They were so responsive they sent a van for us to the port!!!! Would definitely recommend this tour!!!!!

We did not allowed to take the tour because we didn't get to the tour on time, We were only 10 minutes late and were told the tour already left. We are very disappointed.

Amazing up close experience with rescued bald and golden eagles, owls and other raptors and with black and brown bears, then a brief but informative visit to Sitka National Park, where an indigenous craftsman works to replace aging totems. Our guide was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. Highly recommend!

We had a great time seeing the bears, raptors, and totems. All the staff is so passionate about what they do (shoutout to Mike) and the trip was super informative. We got some great pictures as well and wished we had more time in the area before our ship left!

Locations were fine but overall, blah. 10 passengers in a 10 person van so snug. Those lucky to get seats up front never changed. Could not hear your guide at all. Microphone either not close enough to mouth or broke. Could only say turn it up so much. Gave up. Bird sanctuary is self guided. Presentation by staff only for ‘large bus group’. Quick stop at totems but not long enough to walk a path. Loved the bears!! 8 in total and plenty of time to watch them play. Was on a cruise and only way to see bears is with a tour. No general admission when cruise ships are in port.

It was nice to have a guide take us to all the highlighted areas in Sitka. We especially liked the Raptor emergency clinic. It was fun watching the bears being so active and playing with each other.

The bears were amazing ! I enjoy the setting of a smaller group to tour with, I think we had 11 total. We had 4 and another couple of groups. Our guide was very knowledgable.
