Absolutely fantastic! Michael and Melissa not only helped us prepare delicious polpette, pasta, and granita—they shared stories with our group, patiently answered questions and offered cooking tips…and even helped us find a transfer to the airport on a tight schedule. Awesome experience :)

This is an excellent and definitely of value experience in Palermo. Michael and his assistant are excellent, kind, generous and entertaining hosts. Wonderful walk through the market to buy our provisions; Michael patient in explaining the various items of produce. The cooking instructions are clear and easy to follow. The lunch with the other participants starts with a wine aperitivo, followed by a sit-down lunch of the dishes we prepared, with more wine, and a homemade digestif! Irrespective of your cooking skills, try this one.

Michael was so amazing! He speaks great English so there was no issue with language barrier. He was always willing to answer all of our questions and was very thorough on instructions and explanations. The space was so quaint and perfect for our group of 6. The food was delicious and I cannot wait to take the recipes home and make them! The tour through the market was fascinating too!

This was a fantastic class, we went as a family and Michael was very accomodating for our little boy. The food was absolutely to die for, the other guests were all so lovely and we had the best day! Highly highly recommend!

This was a lovely day with Michael and his assistant. Learned a lot touring the market. The class was haha on, well paced and the lunch was terrific including a couple of wines, mandarnista (like limoncello) and the final espresso. Michael doesn't a lot of time with us answering our questions about Sicilan culture in general. Highly recommend!

We had an absolutely marvellous time with Michael. First we went to the market. He told us a lot about the local and seasonal produce. Then we went to his workshop kitchen, where we were greeted by his super-nice assistant Melissa. And then we got started. Thanks to their support, we were able to master the challenge of preparing fresh spaghetti without any problems. It was pure pleasure. By the end, we were in a great mood and had learnt a lot. Absolutely recommended!

Wow, wow, wow. This was one of the best experiences we have ever booked! Michael and Melissa provided a really fantastic service. We started with a market visit, where Michael spoke about the different seasonal offerings and purchased several ingredients that we would use in the dishes we cooked. Then we learned how to treat each main ingredient to maximize its flavor and create truly delicious dishes. The food was fresh, flavorful, approachable, and local in both flavor and origin. We really enjoyed ourselves and this experience and would recommend it to everyone!

Michael is an excellent host and teacher. First we sourced fresh ingredients from a local market. We were then expertly led through the preparation and cooking, enabling us to experience an authentic three course Sicilian lunch accompanied by appropriate delicious local wine and drinks.

Our family had a fantastic time with Michael on this tour. We had a group of just six all up (usually groups are 8 maximum) and the experience had a friendly atmosphere from the outset. Michael was generous with his knowledge, not just of Sicilian food but also of cooking tips and tricks from his time as a private chef and working in restaurants. We managed to make four delicious courses and we loved eating them together. Many thanks Michael for a great experience!

Wonderful market tour, cooking lesson and lunch at The Sicilian Pantry. Michael manages to find the right balance of sharing detailed culinary information without overwhelming us. He knows his local sources well and does not hesitate to answer questions. His cooking technique is professional yet not intimidating -- we plan to recreate one of his recipes this weekend. It was not our first experience at The Sicilian Pantry, and it won't be our last !

We had two toddlers with us doing our class and they made sure to make something for them outside of the course menu. It was a very fun culinary experience for our first time in Sicily as a family. I would love to come back for the summer menu!
