Seeing Banksy and making the connection with Barak Obama’s presidential campaign with street artist Shepard Fairey. Suggestions: -pit stop for coffee, it was chilly and wet -since you have so many connections with the street artists, have a meet and greet with a couple of them, watch them put something up or visit an artist’s shop if available

Highly recommended. The tour guide is very knowledgeable on his subject and presents the information in a very engaging way. The tour lasted approximately 3 hours but covered a relatively small area of streets, so we didn't have to walk great distances - the street art being so dense in this area. We were lucky enough to see 2 well known street artists in action during the tour and also to see several street art works by Banksy.

We took this tour on our first day in London. It was a fabulous and fun look at a vibrant part of London. John was a great tour guide and we learned about the history of the art and the artists Really fun and highly recommended!

Our guide, John, was brilliant. So informative and knowledgeable about all the street art he was showing us - being an artist himself! We had a fantastic time and got to see a side of London we haven’t seen before. The route was enjoyable and the tour was at a comfortable pace.

Fabulous experience from start to finish!! David was wonderfully communicative and flexible in helping schedule a private tour for our group of eight. We met our tour guide, MD, and were immediately impressed by her passion for street art…she focused her PhD in Philosophy thesis on street art! We spent over two hours walking the colorful streets of Shoreditch learning the difference between graffiti and street art and gaining huge appreciation for both art forms. MD was so thorough that soon we were starting to recognize artists on our own. We would highly recommend this tour! You spend the day in the fascinating Shoreditch neighborhood, drinking in the sights and scents of a truly diverse area, while seeing art from different artists and perspectives. We learned so much on the tour and loved every minute of it. We spent the rest of the day in Shoreditch looking at other street art and taking in fantastic Brick Lane and its market. This is a wonderful way to spend one day during your holidays. Thank you David and MD, we would do this again!!

I've spent a lot of time looking at street art in East London over the last decade or so but had never attended a formal street art tour before Saturday. Dave Stuart's Shoreditch Street Art Tours has always been highly rated and I was glad I took the plunge. The tour was very professional right from the time of booking. The welcome email provided clear directions for where and when to meet, the expected first few streets on the tour in case you are late and an indication of where and when the tour would end. As well as this we got a weather forecast and other handy tips. On the day of the tour some 20 people met by Spitalfields Market and off we went. Dave is a full time professional street art guide and really knows his stuff. The tour took in many of the long-standing artworks for which Shoreditch is famous with works by Stik, Shepard Fairey, Invader and, of course, Banksy - as well as many brand new pieces that have appeared in recent days and weeks. Dave not only showed us the art but also provided the background to the artists and the works, giving a context that you wouldn't get just by walking round the area. The tour ended three hours after it began by taking in 5 works by the infamous Banksy. There's a lot of information to absorb on the tour but that same evening a follow-up email arrived from Dave with a summary of all of the key works we had encountered as well as numerous links to artist and other web pages and instagram accounts. Fantastic! If you have any interest in art - not just street art - and you are visiting London I would have no hesitation in recommending Shoreditch Street Art Tours. Iit's a great way to spend half a day and really helps to position the importance of urban art in the capital. Thanks, Dave!

This was a great experience - super introduction to the development of street art internationally as well as London - John, aka SubDude, was knowledgeable and interesting. Definitely worth doing - I won’t be able to walk through a City again with paying more attention to both the graffiti and the art!

The Shoreditch Street Art Tour was brilliant and a must for any art enthusiast visiting London. Dave was an amazing storyteller and his genuine passion for street art is contagious. He took us to see many amazing pieces in the area, all the while identifying the artists and teaching us their history and how to recognize their styles. I came into the tour with no clue on what to expect, I came out of it with a newfound appreciation for the art. It felt like it has shifted my perspective and suddenly the streets are full of stories, I can’t help but look up and around trying to identify these fragments.

I love street art, and having done several street art tours in the area now, I can say without a DOUBT that Dave's is hands down the best tour available. The information is accurate, he is engaging, and he truly knows everything and everyone there is to know, with many years of experience gained as a true street art aficionado. He was able to give detailed and informative answers about every little thing somebody asked, and shared lots of interesting anecdotes. The street art tour was incredible! Dave was so knowledge and engaging. We covered so much ground literally and informatively! It was a great way to move around Shoreditch and learn about street artists and artwork. We learned about different styles and methods and even got to see artists in action! Will recommend it to all my friends.

My second tour with Dave. and enjoyed it just as much as the first time. He’s knowledgeable, works hard to keep up with the current artists in the street, and very, very passionate about his subject. A fascinating way to spend a morning, will make you appreciate your local street art more. Heck, I’m tempted to give it a whirl myself.
