John our guide, was extremely knowledgeable about the location, history and facts of this tour. It was very enjoyable, and our group happened to be small, so we had a more personal experience and probably got to see a few things that others would not. It was really great to learn about the history of the Shepherd of the Hills, and we all bought the book too!

Catfish was our guide. He made the tour most interesting with his encyclopedic information and vast array of experiences. My favorite parts were investigating the old post office and cabin with the numerous gadgets and furniture.

The guide, Emily, was excellent. The scenery was beautiful. I would recommend familiarizing yourself with the story of The Shepherd of the Hills as this would make the tour more meaningful. Overall fun experience

This was a wonderful trip back in time to the settling of this area, and the people and events involved. Our tour guide, John Fullerton, could not have been more personable and interesting.

We enjoyed the tour, with all the interesting history shared. The tour is perfect for people with difficulty walking. The view at the top of Inspiration Point was fabulous. I feel it was one of the best values in Branson.

Wonderful historical review of the famous early 20th century book entitled “Shepard of the Hills”. Request Cowboy John to be your guide. He grew up in them that hills.

I loved seeing the inside of Matt’s and Mollys house-It was the one thing I wanted to see-I can’t imagine living in such a small space but they did it

Such a great tour! John was fun, courteous, and knowlegable. I'm a Harold Bell Wright fan and didn't realize many of the things John brought to light during the tour. He's done the research and is such an ejoyable guide! The place is delightful!

We had 10 a.m. tour voucher and my partner became violently car sick. We called to see if we could exchange for later tour and we're flat turned down. So I think that's very uncooperative and insensitive to our situation. A person can not help being sick and we called as soon as we could.

This tour was great! Our guide was extremely knowledgeable. We got a personal tour of the interior of building that individuals not on the tour would not have access to. So if you want to see the amazing historical buildings on the inside, this tour is a must. I honestly hadn't read the book or seen the show at Shepherd of the Hills and these 2 things are now on my to do list.

What a treat to have stumbled upon this tour! We had the most amazing tour guide! John Fullerton is one of the nicest fellows you will ever meet, and he is a walking, talking encyclopedia of knowledge about not only the play, characters, and backstage information, but of the author and the entire area and surrounding areas! The show was absolutely amazing, but we will never forget John and his incredible storytelling ability, in the smooth dulcet tones of a practiced musician, radio personality, and preacher's son :-) My 89-year-old mother and I traveled here to Branson, and found the most incredibly kind and helpful folks everywhere we went. At the top of that list is John Fullerton and all of the friendly folks at Shepherd of the Hills. Please please please add this to your list of things to do! If you do the full VIP tour, there is also an incredible barbecue meal and entertainment before the main show. We were fortunate to chat with John during the show too. You can absolutely tell that he has so much pride in this show, and even as he sat in the stands and watched it as a spectator, knowing that he must have seen this hundreds upon hundreds of times, he was truly interested and answered all of our questions as we were sitting near him. We're also so happy to find out that John himself is writing a book about the area. What a fitting person to do so, as he obviously has the knowledge for it! I also suggested to him that he makes sure to put it in audiobook form, because his voice is truly unforgettable! Do not miss this opportunity! If for some reason you are unable to see the live outdoor drama, at the very least take the historic tour and hopefully you will get John!
